This week, we're starting a classic science fiction novel, "The First Men in the Moon" by H.G. Wells. It's not as well-known as Wells' other works, but it's equally important. This book seems to be inspired by Jules Verne's "From the Earth to the Moon" and is believed to contain the first depiction of 'the alien hive mind'. I listen to this every night in order to go to sleep. This is my favorite audible version/rendition. Every time I listen to this I start to agree more and more with the idea that the author added to his foreward regarding morality vs entertainment. I find this story soothing and it doesn't demand any critical thinking or self examination and that's why it's so great.
