I am in the same boat as that woman who didn't understand politics. Civics and all that need to be taught and talked about and made as simple as possible for people everywhere to understand.

while looking for a new podcast to listen to. i came across this one. i thought to myself. "the Wilderness" sounds like something i may enjoy. then i read the first description talking about Trump. let's just say a wilderness podcast with political undertone is a great way to turn away new listener's. needless to say i will not give your podcast a chance.

Love your podcasts! Just an FYI the background music is a little too loud. It's very hard to hear the speech filter through the music especially if your 50+. 😊

I am a democrat. I have always been a democrat & I am still with her. Bernie is not a democrat, & I don't begrudge him that, but I resent that his backers chose to not vote so they could express their displeasure. Accept your responsibility in us being where we are & that Donald Trump is where he is because of the choices that were made in Nov 2016. But most of all, remember that Bernie needs us as much as we need him to beat Trump in 2020. It behooves us all to keep that in mind and to not let media control the narrative or dictate who actually gets coverage (looking right at Mayor Pete being exalted by the press while having no experience, having an atrocious record with women & minorities, having worked for McKinsey, and basically being a Republican, #justsaying). Vote w/ your heart in the primary. The shut the f*ck up and Vote Blue No Matter Who in the general. It really is that simple.

I agree 100%, the Democrats need to embrace the immigration issue, and present a big, bold plan that includes border security, DACA citizenship and thoughtful strategy about immigration criteria.

I am 65 years old, have always voted for Democrats because they were generally inclusive, pro choice, pro environment; supporters of civil rights, women's rights, workers rights, consumers rights, human rights; supporters of welfare programs, social programs, arts and education, diplomacy before military intervention. In other words, there has never been a question in my mind about what the party stands for.

The content was interesting but the frequent use of the "f" bomb doesn't inspire confidence in these people who are ostensibly communication professionals. Come on...be be a grown up. The casual use of profanity us not "authentic" -- it's careless.

Truly amazing podcast, I don't agree with all of it, but there is some good insight into the good and bad of the democratic party here.
