What lies beyond the familiar “I” isn’t emptiness, but intimacy—a field where perception is direct, unfiltered, and strangely close.✨ Key threads you’ll hear:The Ripple Effect of Self — how memory and reflexes shape concentric rings of identity.Beyond Recognition — the intimacy and disorientation of encountering what isn’t anchored in memory.Seeing Without the “I” — perception unmediated by story or selfhood. The Edges of Knowing — moving from “I know this” to “I don’t know, but I can stay.”Practical Reflections — experiments to notice the edges of “I” and linger in unreferenced presence. We close by returning to the phrase: as far as the I can see. What lies beyond that edge may not be ours to grasp—but perhaps it is ours to dwell in.⸻🌀 Let’s ConnectHave thoughts or questions? What if the self isn’t a fixed thing, but a series of friction points—moments where we quietly say “no” to reality?Together we trace the edges of personality as habitual preference, the commentary we mistake for selfhood, and the subtle ways we protest the unfolding of life. Through McKenna’s reminder that “half the time you think you are thinking you are actually listening,” we ask: what if presence, not preference, is who we really are?✨ Key threads you’ll hear:The Self as Resistance — how friction and tension shape identity.Edges as Reaction Points — why each “not this, not now, not enough” reinforces boundaries.Personality as Habit — commentary mistaken for a stable “I.”Edgelessness — what dissolves when we stop insisting on shaping the moment.Practices of Dissolving — pausing before labeling, releasing the need to “have a take,” and living into awe.At its heart, this is a conversation about becoming edgeless: moving through life not defined by what we push against, but shaped by what we love.⸻🌀 Let’s ConnectHave thoughts or questions? This isn't the "right now" that comes with urgency or productivity, nor is it about moral correctness. Instead, it's about the deep, unshakable alignment that arises when we land fully in the moment as it is—free from the stories of our past and the expectations of our future. This kind of *right, now* doesn’t seek validation. It doesn’t need to be familiar, understood, or secured. It just *is*—a quiet, undeniable signal of completion, a subtle fullness that doesn’t ask for more.⸻🌀 Let’s ConnectHave thoughts or questions? Naming it may tame it, but feelings are not to be tamed. They are what experience and aliveness are made of. What is hiding in the depths of the wordless experience of feeling? Interested in becoming our Patreon?https://www.patreon.com/TheWonderLandPodcastListen in as we explore the pointer of paradox as a doorway, not a puzzle to solve. With the help of a story of a Zen teacher from The One Who Vanished into Silence (807–869 CE), we look at how the mind can get frustrated in these conversations and how that frustration is actually a call to walk through the portal of words into the space they are pointing to. The space of the freedom we long for.Get in touch!podcast.thewonderland@gmail.com Interested in working with us? We don’t discount the usefulness and practicality of the abstract, but when it is believed to be actual, known, reality we suffer. In this episode Alex and Amanda explore the fallacy that worry is necessary. We have learned worry to be a natural expression of caring and even a pre-requisite for action. We can love and care deeply without worry having to take the lead. When we look closer we see that while worry ebbs and flows in all areas of our lives - life happens in unexpected ways. What would it feel like to let love hold something today without needing worry to validate it?
Join us today as we reveal what seems to be a vital recognition to make as often as possible: that all we experience is story. We look at how this realization doesn’t diminish our experience of reality, but rather allows us to dive in even more fully. Listen in as we see how even the most seemingly objective and fact based “things” are all nestled in story rather than existing in isolation. There is a fearlessness and sweet relief that can come from this awakening.Interested in becoming our Patreon?https://www.patreon.com/TheWonderLandPodcastGet in touch!podcast.thewonderland@gmail.com Interested in working with us?
