What if you could design your life EXACTLY how you would want it to be? What would you need to do to be able to do that? I think the first step is spending time in that future, the future you desire. And the best way I know to do that is through the power of visualization. In this episode we discuss the power of an amazing gift we all have: our imagination! WIth it we can visualize the life we want. It's the first step in designing the exact life you want to live. After listening, let me know your thoughts about this topic of visualization and how it's changed the way you approach going after your goals and dreams. We have so much power and the great tragedy is that we don’t know just how powerful we are. We are created in the image and likeness of God and yet it seems as if we’re the only ones in all Creation, that fail to reach our truest potential. In this episode I want to speak to those of you who know EXACTLY what it is you want and what you’re here to do. I want to talk to you about how to manifest that dream of yours. Adulting is hard. This is a phrase I keep hearing from young adults. I actually don’t think it’s that adulting is hard.  I think it’s more likely that us parents have been making life so easy and comfortable for our kids, whether by providing all the conveniences that we can afford OR even by our lack of preparing them adequately for the things that await them in adulthood. In this episode we discuss four ways you can help your teen or young adult have a more successful transition to adulthood. It won't be easy, but it will be worth it! After listening, let me know what thoughts come to mind and how you plan to implement some of these ideas in parenting your teen or young adult. You may or may not know my story, in particular, the part about my having had over 30+ jobs in my career. But during the course of my multi-faceted career, I’ve also sat on the opposite side of many young candidates looking for work. And as a hiring manager, I sadly found that there’s so much that people unknowingly do or don’t do, that almost automatically puts them out of the running. I started thinking about this and figured I should do something to help them in some way. So, to that end, I'm creating a new membership to help job-seekers and career climbers to get HIRED! If you, or someone you know, is looking for a job or want more meaning in their work, please take advantage of becoming a Founding Member in the Work On Purpose Membership! Journey & Momentum

Journey & Momentum

2024-12-1619:19

Life is about the journey…not the destination. In fact, you could say that any worthwhile endeavor is more about the journey than the realization of the goal. Once you start on your journey, the biggest threat to your staying in motion is EXCUSES.  They are your biggest enemy and unless you have a plan of action to attack them when they come, you will be defeated by them.  You must do whatever you can to keep your momentum.  After listening to this episode on the concepts of journey and momentum, let me know what you think and how you're using them to accomplish your goals. It's December and that means it's gift-giving season! But in this episode, I'm talking about a different kind of gift. The gifts given to us by our Creator! Our society has conditioned us to believe that giftedness and talent can only reside in athletic or artistic expression. It's why we pay our artists and ball-players such astronomical sums of money. But we're ALL gifted! We just need to find our gift and then share it BOLDLY with the world. After listening, let me know your thougths and if you've identified what your gifts are, let me know how you're sharing it with others. Hi There! I'm back with Season 2 of the Work On Purpose Podcast! It's also the 1st anniversary of this podcast and I'm so proud of myself and so full of gratitude for you my dear listener. My little hiatus was a bit longer than I anticipated, but I needed it. And as you can imagine, I've been doing a lot of introspection, reflection and planning for the future! You see, it’s my birthday today and this year, I realized that perhaps I need to get more intentional, more serious about my life’s mission. In having several conversations with women over the past few months, I’m realizing that while many of them do have dreams for their life, they feel stuck. Stuck in a rut of their current lives. Stuck not knowing how to move forward Stuck under the weight of bad habits they can’t seem to shake And so, I thought I’d help where I can. I recorded a mini audio training called Breaking Bad Habits and even though it’s my birthday, consider it my gift to you! So, if you’re struggling to break any bad habits in your life, habits that may be preventing you from living your best life, please don’t waste another minute. Download this free training TODAY! Rejection

2024-07-1914:45

According to researchers and psychologists, belonging or relatedness or connectedness is considered a human need for effective functioning. Yet, even with all this love and connection with our family and friends, because the human need for belonging is so strong, the moment we experience any form of rejection, even if it’s not from anyone close to us, it can cut as sharp as a knife. Because let's face it. Rejection sucks. In this podcast episode, we discuss four key ways to help us deal with rejection, when we're at its mercy. After listening, feel free to send me a note letting me know what you learned and if it was helpful in giving you a better perspective to process rejection when it strikes.
