Description
Voiced by veteran talk show host Adam McManus and written by radio-host and pastor Kevin Swanson and a team of other staff writers, The World View in 5 Minutes is a round-up of the daily news from a Biblical perspective. And, perhaps most uniquely, you will often hear applicable Scriptures paired with the stories themselves. It’s part Paul Harvey, part R.C. Sproul.
You’ll get hooked to the most definitively Christian overview of the news including politics, pop culture, the church, and tracing God’s sovereign hand in the affairs of man.

Canadian pastor released from prison with gag order
Canadian Pastor Derek Reimer has been released from prison in Calgary, Alberta on strict conditions as he is still serving his one-year house arrest and two-year probation for objecting to a Drag Queen Story Hour for little kids in a 90-second, peaceful conversation with Saddletowne Library Manager Shannon Slater.
Reimer is not allowed to use any form of social media. Plus, leftist government officials have actually restricted him from attending the Street Church in Calgary and The Remnant Church in Red Deer because his parole officer is scared he will “rally up the mob.”
Pastor Artur Pawlawski of Street Church told The Worldview, “Pastor Reimer has been totally muzzled by the Canadian courts. He has been prohibited from talking with anyone including his family, his friends, churchgoers, or reporters. It’s a total, Soviet-style gag order. If he talked to anyone about what is happening he will go straight back to prison.”
Pawlawski knows first-hand about these kind of oppressive government tactics.
He said, “I grew up behind the Iron Curtain. Communists muzzled the public. If you dared to expose them by telling the truth, they would do a show trial, imprison you, and torture you. “
Not surprisingly, the Canadian judge insisted that any Biblical objection to the sinful lifestyle of transgenders and homosexuals on the part of Pastor Reimer would qualify as “hate speech.”
Calgary Pastor Shawn Hamm said, “The courts in Alberta are corrupt and they have been turned into a political circus! The judicial system can use ‘hurt feelings’ in the province of Alberta to try to silence Christians on our biblical beliefs. They are doing their best to silence Pastor Derek, but they cannot silence all of us!”
Hamm added, “The Drag Queen Story Hour that is happening all across Canada must be exposed for what it is -- pervert grooming sessions that are happening in public spaces!”

Jeffress: “None of the government's business” what pastors preach
On Wednesday, Pastor Robert Jeffress of First Baptist Dallas had a message for a White House religious liberty panel.
JEFFRESS: “What I preach from the pulpit of the First Baptist Church of Dallas, or any pastor preaches from his church is none of the government’s business.” (clapping)
In testimony before the U.S. Department of Justice’s Religious Liberty Commission, Jeffress shared their experience with the Internal Revenue Service during a controversial church tax inquiry in 2021 under former President Joe Biden.
Jeffress’ statement to the Commission included comments he initially shared with his congregation on Sunday, in which he recounted how the atheist legal organization Freedom From Religion Foundation filed a complaint with the IRS after former Vice President Mike Pence and then-HUD Secretary Dr. Ben Carson shared their faith testimonies of “how they came to know Jesus as Savior” at Jeffress’ church in June 2020.
Jeffress said, “It's interesting that we did not hear anything from the IRS for 11 months. Then, four months after Joe Biden became president, on May 6, 2021, the IRS informed our church that they were initiating an inquiry into the tax-exempt status of our church because of our patriotic service.”
He added that he does not endorse candidates from the pulpit, but “we encourage Christians to vote their biblical conviction.”
Ironically, on November 1, 2020, the same day he addressed his church about the presidential race, President Biden was speaking at the Sharon Baptist Church in Philadelphia, where the former president and the church's pastor “openly encouraged members to vote for Biden while both men were standing in front of a campaign banner in the church.”
Jeffress noted, “When we pointed out the contrast to the IRS between our non-endorsement policy and this church's flagrant disregard for the Johnson Amendment, the IRS officials conducting the examination had no response.”
While the inquiry lasted more than a year, the IRS eventually acknowledged in July 2022 that First Baptist Dallas “did not engage in any improper political intervention or violate the U.S. tax code.”
Despite the favorable outcome, Jeffress said he wanted to testify before the Commission because while First Baptist Dallas could afford the legal fees, most churches could not — nor, he said, should they have to do so.
Elon Musk affirms belief in Creator
On The Katie Miller Podcast, billionaire Elon Musk revealed that he looks up to the Creator at the 12:37-mark of a nearly hour-long conversation, reports The Christian Post.
MILLER: “Who do you look up to the most?”
MUSK: “The Creator.”
MILLER: “What's your current position on God?”
MUSK: “God is the Creator.”
MILLER: “You don't believe in God, though, do you?”
MUSK: “Well, I believe those this universe came for something. People have different labels.”
The comments from the Tesla and SpaceX founder are the latest in his publicly evolving views on God and faith.
In response to a tweet from a user on X urging him to confess a Creator in May 2022, Musk wrote: "Thank you for the blessing, but I’m OK with going to hell, if that is indeed my destination, since the vast majority of all humans ever born will be there."
Describing the reality of hell, Jesus said to those on His left, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.'" (Matthew 25:41)
Subsequently, in 2025, Musk urged his millions of X followers to go to church following the assassination of Charlie Kirk on September 10th. He also attended Kirk's memorial in Glendale, Arizona on September 21st.
17 pro-lifers arrested for blocking Memphis Planned Parenthood abortion mill
And finally, ten men and seven women spent a night in a Memphis jail on December 5th, after staging a peaceful protest in front of the Memphis, Tennessee Planned Parenthood abortion mill, reports LifeSiteNews.com.
The protest was organized by “Rescue Resurrection,” a pro-life group planning “rescue” actions across the country.
Those arrested included well-known figures in the pro-life movement: Randall Terry, founder of Operation Rescue; Joan Andrews Bell, a longtime pro-life advocate; Terrisa Bukovinac, director of Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising; Nathan Berning, director of Let Them Live; and Dr. Monica Miller of Citizens for Life, among others.
Exhausted from spending a sleepless night in an over-crowded holding cell with no beds, Randall Terry said that “this is a very small price to pay to stand up for the babies.”
Video footage of the arrests captured by journalist Ford Fischer shows Terry, Bell, and other pro-life protesters being dragged away by police, because they went limp, before being transported to jail.
And there is video of Joan Andrews Bell, a sernior citizen, being carried away by three Memphis Police Officers. Bell was pardoned by President Trump after being sentenced to two years in prison for a prior abortion clinic blockade for which she was prosecuted under President Biden.
No doubt they were inspired by Proverbs 24:11 which says, “Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter.”

UK Supreme Court: Religious education in Ireland unlawful
The U.K. Supreme Court ruled last month that religious education in Northern Ireland is unlawful.
State-funded primary schools in Northern Ireland currently include religious education in the curriculum. Schools also have a time of daily worship. However, the U.K. Supreme Court ruled the curriculum was not “objective, critical and pluralistic.”
In response, Christian Concern is defending Christian education in schools.
Listen to comments from Steve Beegoo, Head of Education at Christian Concern.
BEEGOO: “Parents, don't retreat. There is an authority that is truly higher than even our courts that we must appeal to and that we must obey. We must stand for truth and to obey Jesus Christ.”
In Matthew 19:14, Jesus said, “Let the children come to Me, and do not hinder them.”
Fewer British Christians, more pagans
The Institute for the Impact of Faith in Life released a new survey on adults in Britain who changed religion.
Christianity experienced the most losses with people usually becoming atheist. Islam saw a modest net gain, mostly from Christianity. Also, movements like Paganism, Wicca, and broad spiritualism saw noticeable growth.
The study said, “Media reports over the past decade document a visible revival of Pagan and Wiccan practices in Britain, particularly among women over 30 and those disillusioned with organized religion but seeking ethical and emotional coherence.”
Isaiah 8:19-20 says, “And when they say to you, ‘Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter,’ should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living? To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.”
Spanish court acquits 21 pro-lifers
A court in Spain acquitted 21 pro-life activists on Tuesday.
Authorities had arrested the pro-lifers back in 2022 for praying outside an abortion mill. They were participating in a 40 Days for Life prayer chain in the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz.
The ruling stated, “There is no doubt that the defendants did nothing more than exercise their right to free assembly. … The defendants conducted themselves at all times in an exemplary, peaceful manner.”
71 U.S. abortion mills closed this year
In the United States, 23 independent abortion mills closed this year as of October.
That’s up from 12 closures last year. Since Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022, 100 locations closed. Independent abortion mills are not affiliated with Planned Parenthood and account for 58% of abortions in the U.S.
Life News reports that Planned Parenthood has closed 48 locations so far this year.
Dept. of Justice supports Christian students who spoke truth
The U.S. Department of Justice supported two Christian students on Monday in a court case involving transgenderism.
Virginia’s Loudoun County School Board previously suspended the two male students. They had simply objected to a girl, pretending to be a boy, in their locker room.
Harmeet Dhillon is Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the Justice Department. She said, “Loudoun County’s decision to advance and promote gender ideology tramples on the rights of religious students who cannot embrace ideas that deny biological reality.”
Frustrated homesellers pulling homes off market
Realtor.com released their November 2025 Monthly Housing Market Trends Report.
The report found that home prices are rising in traditionally affordable metros. Meanwhile, expensive metros are seeing price drops.
The market has also seen record de-listings as frustrated sellers pull their homes off the market without a sale. Realtor.com noted, “One home was de-listed for about every 3 to 4 new listings nationally.”
Fellowship of Christian Athletes distributed 244,000 Bibles this year
And finally, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes distributed over 244,000 Bibles this year across the U.S. and 68 other countries. That’s up from 219,000 last year.
The achievement is due to 900 FCA camps worldwide, 23,000 huddle groups, and about 400 FCA sports club teams.
A Fellowship of Christian Athletes spokesman told The Christian Post, “FCA's overarching aim is to reach coaches and athletes with the Gospel, help them grow spiritually and then enable them to help others do the same. We believe this spiritual foundation extends beyond sports, positively influencing teammates, schools, families and entire communities.”

2,000 Christians in India protested persecution
Around 2,000 Christians gathered in India’s capital of New Delhi last month to protest persecution.
Speakers at the event noted that attacks on Christians in the country increased 500% between 2014 and 2024. However, police investigated less than 20% of the cases.
One organizer said, “This is not a political movement, but a constitutional dialogue among Indian citizens from the Christian faith, exercising their democratic rights. The systematic and egregious violence and hostility, coupled with police inaction and lack of access to justice, requires solutions.”
India is ranked 11th on the Open Doors’ World Watch List of the most difficult countries to be a Christian.
Australia banned social media accounts for kids
Australia became the first country in the world to ban social media accounts for children this week.
The government now requires social media companies to deactivate the accounts of children under 16 in the country or face serious fines.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese released a message, calling on young people to invest in real-world activities and relationships.
Listen.
ALBANESE: “Make the most of the school holidays coming up, rather than spending it scrolling on your phone. Start a new sport, learn a new instrument, or read that book that has been sitting there on your shelf for some time. And importantly, spend quality time with your friends and your family, face to face.”
Supreme Court allows Texas county to ban objectionable books
In America, the U.S. Supreme Court allowed a Texas county to keep its ban on objectionable books in public libraries.
The issue began in 2021 when Llano County in Central Texas removed 17 books from libraries at the request of local residents. The disputed titles included multiple books for young adults with themes on sexually perverted lifestyles. Sadly, other residents favored access to such indecency.
The Supreme Court’s ruling on Monday leaves in place a ruling by the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. That ruling noted, “From the moment they emerged in the mid-19th century, public libraries have shaped their collections to present what they held to be worthwhile literature. … Public libraries used to exclude most novels, which were thought bad for morals.”
Philippians 4:8 says, “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”
15th county bans abortion
Motley County, Texas became the 15th county in the nation to ban abortion.
On Monday, the county’s Commissioners Court unanimously adopted a Sanctuary County for the Unborn ordinance.
Motley County is the 13th county in Texas to pass such an ordinance. It is also the 22nd political subdivision in the U.S. to pass such a measure this year.
Wikipedia’s #1 2025 article: Charlie Kirk’s assassination
Wikipedia announced its most-read articles of 2025.
The online encyclopedia reported that the most popular article on English Wikipedia this year covered Charlie Kirk.
The Christian activist was assassinated on September 10th of this year while speaking at an event for his organization, Turning Point USA, at Utah Valley University.
30% of U.S. adults took political/spiritual action in wake of Charlie Kirk’s death
The Barna Group released a new survey last week on the spiritual impact of Charlie Kirk’s death.
The study found that nearly 30% of U.S. adults took action since Kirk’s death. While some said they took political action, most said they took spiritual action. This was especially true among younger generations.
And nearly half of Americans said that Charlie Kirk’s death will have a positive impact on Christianity among younger Americans.
Isaiah 41:10 most popular verse on YouVersion app
And finally, the Bible platform, YouVersion, announced the verse with the highest international engagement this year.
That verse was Isaiah 41:10. It says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
YouVersion saw unprecedented Bible engagement this year, reaching a billion downloads.
Pastor Bobby Gruenewald, Founder and CEO of YouVersion, said, “We’re witnessing a global movement. People are hungry for what’s real and true. The Bible stands alone as the source of truth, carefully passed from generation to generation. It’s alive and active, and relevant to our everyday lives. These numbers represent millions of changed lives—people finding hope, direction, and purpose in God’s Word.”
Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”

Nigerian Muslims killed 48 Christians
A wave of deadly attacks in the Southern Taraba State in Nigeria resulted in the deaths of 48 Christians and hundreds of homes were reduced to ashes.
Religious leaders point to Muslim terrorists as freely killing, without any intervention from the Nigerian military. In an article by TruthNigeria.com, one resident said, “We made calls to the Nigerian military, but the personnel refused to pick up. Later, they switched off their phones.”
Shockingly, Nigeria’s former Chief of Defense Staff, General Lucky Irabor, recently confirmed in a news interview that certain Nigerian politicians have been financing terror in the country.
Major Japanese earthquake
Japan just experienced its most severe earthquake in 10 years, reports The Guardian. According to The Independent, 23 people were injured.
Yesterday’s tremor hit the northern part of Honshu, registering 7.6 on the Richter scale.
Japanese economy struggling
Japan’s economy is also taking a hit — a 2.3% annualized decline in its Gross National Product last quarter. This would be Japan’s first recessionary trend since 2020.
The nation's new Prime Minister, Sanae Takaichi, promises more government spending with a $110 billion stimulus package to fix the problem.
Japanese elderly dying without known relatives
Increasingly, Japan’s elderly are dying without any known relatives or family relationships. This is measured by unclaimed inheritances.
Disturbingly, about $1 billion of unclaimed assets from elderly men and women, who have passed away, reverted to the Japanese federal treasury in 2024, reports The Japan Times. That’s four times the amount in 2013.
Above all, Japan needs the Gospel. In the words of Ephesians 2:11-12, “Remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh … were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.”
Cambodia and Thailand back at war
As of yesterday morning, Cambodia is back at war with Thailand, following a Trump-brokered peace agreement, reports Nation of Thailand.
Thailand’s air force is targeting Cambodia’s military operations.
Russia-Ukrainian peace plan delayed again
There remains a disconnect between the United States and Europe on the Ukraine war resolution.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer yesterday and clarified that there was still no deal on the U.S. proposal of land swaps in Russia’s favor.
China controls First World countries by lending money
Now, the Chinese government has set out to control nations by loans and grants — all of which have strings attached. That’s the essence of a report from AidData.org.
Chinese loan commitments are extending into First World countries, of which the United States tops the list — followed by Australia, Russia, Venezuela, Pakistan, Angola, Brazil, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.
Chinese state-owned lenders have opened up about $1 trillion of credit to high-income countries, with the United States leading the pack as the largest debtor to China. According to the report, “China remains the world’s largest official creditor, lending approximately $140 billion to public sector and private sector borrowers around the globe in 2023.”
Proverbs 22:7 warns, “The debtors are servants to the lenders.”
Trump cut $600 million from “family planning” groups
The Trump administration cut $600 million this year from various international groups’ family planning budgets.
This cut was quickly compensated for by the Gates Foundation, which recently announced another $2.5 billion to the program.
30-somethings are 10% less likely to own a home
A new report finds that 30-somethings here in the United States are drawn to risky investments like Bitcoin, but less likely to buy homes.
The report projected that young folks, born in the 1990s, would have a home ownership rate that will be 10% lower, upon their retirement, than their parents' generation. Home affordability is affecting the younger buyers.
Samaritan’s Purse sending 12 million children Christmas gifts
And finally, Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child is well under way toward collecting 12 million shoe boxes containing toys, necessities, and the Gospel message for children in 100 countries around the world. That’s up from 9 million shoe boxes filled in 2020.
A vision inspired by Franklin Graham, Operation Christmas Child got started in 1993, when the organization distributed 28,000 shoe box gifts to children in the Balkans in southeastern Europe.
Since then, Operation Christmas Child has collected and delivered more than 232 million gift-filled shoe boxes to children in more than 170 countries and territories.
For late comers, there are 8 processing centers still open around the country to receive the Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes -- in Denver, Dallas, Atlanta, and Charlotte, North Carolina.

Pastor arrested for refusing to apologize for objecting to Drag Queen story hour
Canadian Pastor Derek Reimer was arrested on December 3rd for refusing to write an apology letter to a Calgary, Alberta library manager for telling her that a library-sponsored drag queen story time event for children was misguided.
At the time of Reimer’s arrest, Artur Polawski, a Canadian-Polish preacher who previously spoke out against Canada’s COVID lockdown, made this comment to the policemen.
POLAWSKI: “You know why you're arresting this man for? He refused to apologize for his religious conviction. Are you aware of that?”
POLICE OFFICER: “Thank you.”
During Reimer’s application to vary the conditions of his year-long house arrest sentence, which ends next month, he did not comply with a controversial court order, requiring him to write a letter of apology to Saddletowne Library manager Shannon Slater, reports Rebel News.
The letter was due on November 28. Slater is the woman Reimer was convicted of alleged “criminally harassing” simply for explaining to her, on camera for 90 seconds, that drag-themed story hours for little kids, featuring men dressed like grotesque caricatures of women with big wigs and gaudy makeup, leads to the sexual grooming of children.
REIMER: “They wanted me to apologize for that, and I won't apologize for it.”
Reimer, who leads Mission 7 Ministries in Calgary, has insisted he cannot in good conscience apologize for warning about the drag event — an event aimed at kids and known in Calgary as “Reading With Royalty.”
Reimer represented himself in court during his appearance. His submissions regarding his Canadian Charter right to freedom of religious expression and liberty of conscience were not accepted by Justice Karen Molle, who ruled them irrelevant to his application.
REIMER: “It was such a travesty of justice today. It was such an egregious display of behavior through this justice where she wouldn't even let me finish my submissions. She walked out halfway through my submissions.
“When she came back, I didn't even have an opportunity for rebuttal. She didn't want to hear me. I asked her, respectfully, ‘Do I have an opportunity to share the rest of my submissions?’ and she says, ‘Well, I've deemed them irrelevant.’”
At a prayer vigil outside Derek Reimer’s jail cell, one woman expressed her anger over the injustice to him, his wife Mona, and their young son.
LADY: “A man like Derek can go to the library, have a 90-second conversation with somebody, and then, all of a sudden, he gets arrested because he refuses to apologize for his Christian conviction.
“This is a persecution of Christianity and Christians. This is a target to the Bible and God. This is good vs. evil. They want us to call evil good and good evil. [Isaiah 5:20] We cannot do it. They're going to continue to round up good men in society.
“I’m Canadian. I was born in Canada. Ice runs through my veins, but the fire of God burns in my heart. And I want every Canadian to remember, as cold as it gets out here, it is our duty to go out and stand for the rights of the people who need it, like Derek.”
The Democracy Fund is providing legal defense for Pastor Derek Reimer, who was assaulted, and then absurdly fined and arrested, while peacefully protesting the Drag Queen Story Time. Learn more at www.SavePastorDerek.com. That’s www.SavePastorDerek.com.
Samaritan’s Purse plane hijacked in Sudan
A Samaritan's Purse plane carrying medical supplies to South Sudan was hijacked by an armed man earlier this week, reports The Christian Post.
At the time, the Cessna Grand Caravan plane, that operates exclusively in Africa, was en route to Maiwut, South Sudan, to deliver medicine to a mobile medical unit.
The hijacker has been identified as Yasir Mohammed Yusuf. He wore a fake reflective vest with the logo of an air charter company with operations at the airport, snuck aboard the plane, and hid in the rear cabin before takeoff. He demanded to be flown to another Central African country, Chad. After circling for several hours, the pilot told the hijacker that the plane was low on fuel and landed at Wau Airport, where Yusuf was taken into custody.
A spokesman for Samaritan's Purse said, “We praise God that no one was seriously injured.”
Supreme Court upholds new Texas Congressional map
Late Thursday night, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the newly redrawn U.S. Congressional map in Texas which is expected to increase Republican representation in Texas’s U.S. House delegation, reports The Epoch Times.
The court’s new unsigned order in League of United Latin American Citizens v. Abbott was issued over the dissents of Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, and Ketanji Jackson.
Justice Samuel Alito filed an opinion concurring in the order. Justices Clarence Thomas and Neil Gorsuch joined that concurrence.
In August, Texas adopted a new congressional map. Republicans currently hold 25 of the state’s 38 seats in the House of Representatives. Under the new map, Republicans hope to win up to 30 of those 38 seats, reports the Supreme Court blog.
The League of United Latin American Citizens challenged the map, falsely claiming that it was the product of unconstitutional racial gerrymandering.
Justice Alito does not claim that the Supreme Court is definitively endorsing the 2025 Texas map’s legality on the merits. But he does assert that (a) The impetus for the map was partisan, not racial and (b) The lower court misapplied the proper standard of review.
Eight states could vote on abortion in 2026
And finally, pro-life advocates are bracing for a pivotal battle in 2026 as voters in eight states prepare to weigh in on ballot measures that could either safeguard legal protections for the pre-born or create a fake right to kill babies by abortion, reports LifeNews.com.
In Missouri, the pro-life “Amendment 3” would prohibit most abortions while allowing exceptions for medical emergencies, fatal fetal anomalies, and cases of rape or incest within the first 12 weeks.
Nevada’s “Question 6,” certified after passing its first vote in 2024, returns for a required second approval to embed a “fundamental right to abortion” in the state constitution until fetal viability—typically around 21 weeks.
In Idaho, the “Reproductive Freedom and Privacy Measure,” is aiming to overturn the state’s abortion ban by establishing a so-called “right to abortion.”
Montana’s proposed “Definition of Person Amendment,” seeks to amend the state constitution to define a “person” as beginning at fertilization or conception, effectively granting legal protections to the preborn.
Nebraska’s potential “Establish Personhood of Preborn Children Amendment,” is in the early stages of the ballot qualification process to define a preborn child as a person in the state constitution, effectively banning abortion from conception with limited exceptions.
In Oregon, with a signature deadline in July 2026, abortion advocates are circulating petitions to amend the state constitution by affirming a right to kill babies by abortions.
Virginia’s “Right to Reproductive Freedom Amendment” advances toward a second vote in the 2026 session to embed a “right to reproductive freedom” in the state constitution. This would allow abortions up to birth in Virginia.
And, in Colorado, pro-life advocates are currently before the Colorado Supreme Court with “The Right to Be Born” amendment that states: “Children have the right to continue living from the moment they are conceived.”
Proverbs 31:8 says, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.”

Nigerian Muslims abduct pastor, wife and others during church
On Sunday morning, armed Muslim bandits attacked Christians in Ejiba, a community in the Kogi State of Nigeria, abducting a pastor, his wife, and several worshippers during the Cherubim and Seraphim Church service, reports International Christian Concern.
According to Open Doors’ 2024 World Watch List, more than 4,100 Christians were abducted across Nigeria in the previous year. Data gathered from Nigerian and international monitoring groups place the number of Christians kidnapped since 2014 at more than 20,000, many of them during attacks on villages and houses of worship.
Isaiah 59:2-3 says, “It is your evil that has separated you from your God. Your sins cause Him to turn away from you, so He does not hear you. With your hands you have killed others, and with your fingers you have done wrong. With your lips you have lied, and with your tongue you say evil things.”
Pray that these menacing Muslims trust Christ as Savior.
Trump and Hegseth defend targeted attacks on Venezuelan drug boats
At Tuesday's cabinet meeting, President Donald Trump and War Secretary Pete Hegseth responded to questions about the controversial September 2nd air strike on a suspected drug boat in the Caribbean from Venezuela, reports RealClearPolitics.com.
Secretary Hegseth doubled down on their methodology and mission.
HEGSETH: “The evidence-based way that we're able to, with sources and methods that we can't reveal here, make sure that every one of those drug boats is tied to a designated terrorist organization. We know who's on it, what they're doing, what they're carrying. All these white bales are not Christmas gifts from Santa. This is drugs, running on four-motor fast boats or submarines that we've also struck. No one's fishing on a submarine.”
Secretary Hegseth justified the lethal attacks on Venezuelan drug boats in international waters to protect the American people from deadly drugs like fentanyl and cocaine.
HEGSETH: “How do you treat al-Qaeda and ISIS? Do you arrest them and pat them on the head and say, ‘Don't do that again’? Or do you end the problem directly by taking a lethal, kinetic approach? And that's the way President Trump has authorized the War Department to look at these [drug] cartels.
“The American people are safer because narco-terrorists know you can't bring drugs through the water to the American people. We will eliminate that threat, and we're proud to do it.”
President Trump added that these dangerous drugs, much of it from Venezuela, killed 200,000 Americans just last year.
TRUMP: “These people have killed over 200,000 people, actually killed over 200,000 people last year. And those numbers are down, there way down. And they're down because we're doing these strikes.
“We're going to start doing those strikes on land too. You know the land is much easier. We know the routes they take. We know everything about them. We know where they live. We know where the bad ones live, and we're going to start that very soon too.”
Court rules NY's efforts to censor pro-life centers unconstitutional
An appeals court panel has ruled that efforts to stop pro-life pregnancy centers in New York from informing patients about abortion pill reversal are unconstitutional, reports The Christian Post.
In an opinion published Monday, a three-judge panel of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit unanimously upheld a lower court ruling siding with two pro-life pregnancy centers, Gianna’s House and Options Care Center.
New York Attorney General Letitia James alleged that the pro-life groups at the center of her office’s enforcement action engaged in “false and misleading” speech by promoting abortion pill reversal as effective. Truth be told, abortion pill reversal is indeed effective through a progesterone protocol. Learn more at the website www.AbortionPillReversal.com.
NY pastor announces "gender transition" from pulpit
A 51-year-old Methodist pastor in New York revealed during his November 23rd sermon that he wanted to start pretending to live like a woman, reports FoxNews.
Rev. Phillip Phaneuf, of North Chili United Methodist Church in Rochester, delivered this disturbing announcement as he wore a pro-homosexual, pro-transgender rainbow pride stole in the pulpit.
Listen.
PHANEUF: “I get to announce with joy that I'm transitioning. I'm affirming and saying to all of you that I am transgender and so and so, the best way to put this is that I'm not becoming a woman. I'm giving up pretending to be a man. So, what will change? My voice. It might go a tad higher. Pronouns? She/her, but I'm not going to be ‘pronoun police,’ okay? Because I don't think that anybody will misgender out of malice.”
The pastor admitted that he has been taking hormone replacement therapy for the past three months. He also addressed what his parents thought.
PHANEUF: “Are my parents okay with this? Absolutely not. They texted me this morning and they asked for me to tell you all that they do not support me and that they have chosen their convictions and their beliefs over supporting their child.”
Phaneuf, who donned a transgender stole during a subsequent service, claimed that God had endorsed his transition, reports LifeSiteNews.com. He asked, “If you felt God’s Holy Spirit surrounding you in ways that you haven’t felt in years, would you have a sense that that might be something that God was okay with? Yeah.”
However, Genesis 1:27 affirms that God created each of us to be either male or female. “So, God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.”
91% of college students say words are “violence” after Charlie Kirk murder
And finally, in the aftermath of the horrific assassination of free speech activist Charlie Kirk, 91% of American undergraduates believe “words can be violence”, reports FaithWire.com.
The new data was compiled by the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, which asked more than 2,000 college students about their perceptions of free speech in the United States.
Remarkably, 204 of the students surveyed were from Utah Valley University in Orem, where Charlie Kirk was fatally gunned down while peacefully and cordially taking questions from attendees.
The foundation called the survey results “especially startling coming in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination — an extreme and tragic example of the sharp difference between words and violence.”
Sean Stevens, chief research advisor for the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, said, “When people start thinking that words can be violence, violence becomes an acceptable response to words. Even after the murder of Charlie Kirk at a speaking event, college students think that someone’s words can be a threat. This is antithetical to a free and open society, where words are the best alternative to political violence.”

European country of Monaco expelled Swiss evangelist
Evangelical Focus reports officials in Monaco recently detained and then expelled a Swiss evangelist without much explanation. Monaco is a sovereign city-state in Western Europe, bordered by France to the north, east, and west, with the Mediterranean Sea to the south.
Stephan Maag has shared the gospel on streets across 28 European countries. He’s known for carrying an 80-pound collapsible cross, generating conversations about Jesus. His evangelistic walks were well-received until he visited Monaco, a microstate in south-eastern France.
Police detained Maag, telling him what he was doing was not allowed there. They even told him his cross was too big! The evangelist said, “Nothing like this has ever happened to us in Europe.”
In Romans 1:16, the Apostle Paul wrote, “I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.”
Germany beefs up security for iconic Christmas markets
German cities are tightening security in preparation for opening their iconic Christmas markets this year.
Renardo Schlegelmilch with Germany’s largest Catholic radio station said, “There are more than 3,000 Christmas markets every year in Germany, with around 170 million visitors — more than twice the population of the country. They set the tone of Advent, even for people who are not active in the Church.”
The security cost for this centuries-old tradition has skyrocketed in recent years. Security concerns have risen since 2016 when an Islamic extremist drove a truck into a Berlin Christmas market, killing 12 people.
Mississippi evangelist makes case before Supreme Court
The U.S. Supreme Court heard a case involving a Mississippi evangelist yesterday.
Gabriel Olivier is an evangelical Christian who desires to share his faith with others. However, the City of Brandon, Mississippi passed an ordinance to effectively silence his evangelism. Lower courts sided with the city.
Now, First Liberty Institute is representing Gabriel before the U.S. Supreme Court. The group noted, “Gabe’s case could overturn decades of bad precedent in the lower courts. A clarifying opinion from the Supreme Court will bolster the rights and religious freedom of millions.”
More U.S. soldiers identify with Christ while U.S. more secular
U.S. military members are becoming more religious even as America becomes more secular. That’s according to a study by Ryan Burge, a professor at Washington University in St. Louis.
The study compared 18- to 45-year-olds in the military and outside the military. Members of the military are more likely to identify as Christians than the rest of the population. Military members are also more likely than civilians to attend church. And church attendance in the military has actually increased over the past 12 years.
U.S. military abortions are down
The Dallas Express reports that military abortions are down to their lowest level in five years.
The military’s TRICARE health service program covered five abortions this year as of June, down from 49 abortions in 2021.
This follows efforts by President Donald Trump to cancel abortion-related policies.
Although taxpayer-funded abortions at military facilities are down, the general use of medication-induced abortions has skyrocketed in recent years.
Republicans won Tennessee special House of Reps. election
The Grand Old Party won the special election for Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District on Tuesday.
Republican Matt Van Epps beat Democrat Aftyn Behn by nine percentage points with 53.9% of the vote, reports the Nashville Banner. The victory means Republicans will have a 220-213 majority in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Listen to comments from Epps, thanking God and his supporters for the victory.
EPPS: “We did it. Thank you all. This is just an incredible win. Tonight, you've sent a message, loud and clear. The people of Middle Tennessee stand with President Donald J. Trump. First and foremost, I want to thank God for His guidance and grace every step of the way.”
Martyred U.S. medical missionary in Congo featured on Time in 1964
And finally, medical missionary Paul Carlson appeared on the covers of Time Magazine and Life Magazine on December 4, 1964, sixty-one years ago today.
The successful doctor left a comfortable life in California to be a missionary in Africa. Carlson arrived in the Congo with his wife and two children in 1963.
He continued to care for people despite political unrest. However, communist-inspired rebels eventually arrested him and falsely accused him of being an American spy. On November 24, 1964, the rebels opened fire on a group of prisoners, including Carlson. He died helping other prisoners escape the onslaught.
Carlson’s wife, Lois, carried on her husband’s work, supporting medical care and education in the area. His tombstone bears this inscription from John 15:13, “Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Thailand orders Christian back to Vietnam to likely torture
Last Wednesday, a court in Thailand ordered that a Christian activist and asylum seeker must be sent back to Vietnam.
Y Quynh Bdap, the co-founder of Montagnards Stand for Justice, faces a 10-year sentence in Vietnam for alleged anti-Communist activities.
International Christian Concern noted, “If extradited to Vietnam, he will likely face torture, violence, and imprisonment. … This will set a dangerous precedent for the thousands of other Christian refugees in Thailand who could also be extradited to their home country, where they fled persecution.”
According to Open Doors, Vietnam is the 47th most dangerous country worldwide for Christians.
Flooding and landslides in Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and Thailand
Monsoon rains brought catastrophic flooding and landslides to Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and Thailand last week.
The death toll has surpassed 1,300, and nearly a thousand people are missing.
The National Christian Evangelical Alliance of Sri Lanka is distributing emergency aid to pastors and Christian workers in the country. The group said the flooding has been “displacing families and severely impacting pastors, Christian workers, and churches.”
Trump pauses immigration from Third World countries
In the United States, President Donald Trump announced last Thursday his administration will “permanently pause” migration from Third World countries.
This came a day after an Afghan national shot two National Guard members with a 357 revolver in Washington, D.C. near the White House. U.S. Army Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, aged 20, died the next day. U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolf remains in serious condition. However, doctors report that he was able to give a thumbs-up sign when prompted and he wiggled his toes on command as well.
Brigadier General Leland Blanchard spoke at a press conference.
BLANCHARD: “Their families’ lives are all changed forever because one person decided to do this horrific and evil thing.”
Officials charged the 29-year-old Afghan national, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, with first-degree murder yesterday.
The Afghan man drove cross country, from his home in Washington State, to carry out the targeted attack. He had immigrated to the United States in 2021 under a Biden era program evacuating Afghan refugees during the chaotic withdrawal of U.S. forces.
Listen to comments from White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
LEAVITT: “Sarah and Andrew represent the very best of America, two young patriots who were willing to put on the uniform and risk their lives in defense of their fellow Americans. Both of them truly embody the profound words spoken by Jesus Christ in the Gospel. Greater love has no one than this to lay down one's life for one's friends.” (John 15:13)
Mass killings are down this year
Mass killings in the U.S. are down according to a database maintained by The Associated Press and USA Today.
There have been 17 shooters who killed four or more people in a 24-hour period not including themselves. That’s the lowest on record since 2006.
Mass killings mostly occur at people’s homes and often involve family members.
California officials dropped $70,000 in COVID fines against church
Officials in California recently dropped nearly $70,000 in fines against a church and Christian school.
The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health targeted Calvary Chapel San Jose and its affiliated Calvary Christian Academy during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Joel Oster with Advocates for Faith & Freedom said, “This is a complete victory, not only for Calvary Christian Academy, but for every church and Christian school in California. The State tried to use [the Occupational Safety and Health Administration] as a weapon to intimidate a religious institution. They failed. And they were forced to walk away from their own claims.”
Should pro-life ministry be compelled to reveal names of donors?
The U.S. Supreme Court heard a case yesterday involving a pro-life ministry in New Jersey.
The case began in 2023 when the state targeted First Choice Women’s Resource Centers with a subpoena, demanding the names of its donors.
Reuters reports that the justices appeared favorable to the pro-life ministry.
William Haun with The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty said, “The Court should make clear that state bureaucrats cannot exploit their power to intimidate ministries or chill the faith commitments that guide their work.”
Isaiah 10:1-2 says, “Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, who write misfortune, which they have prescribed to rob the needy of justice, and to take what is right from the poor of My people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless.”
The “Naughty and Nice List” of U.S. retailers
And finally,
AUDIO: “He’s making a list and checking it twice. He’s going to find out who’s naughty or nice.”
Liberty Counsel released its latest “Naughty and Nice List” last month.
The list catalogs retailers that are censoring Christmas and ones that are publicly celebrating it.
Companies that celebrate Christmas include Costco, Lowe’s, and Walmart. Companies that silence and censor Christmas include TJ Maxx, Barnes & Noble, and CVS Pharmacy.
Mat Staver with Liberty Counsel said, “Christianity remains the largest faith tradition in the United States and is associated with worship, family traditions, nostalgia, and seasonal joy. … We are happy to report that some retailers still recognize that the Christmas season is about the birth of Jesus and is not just a winter holiday.”

Trump urges Venezuelan president to leave country
U.S. sabers are rattling off the coast of Venezuela.
The Miami Herald reported that President Donald Trump offered Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro an ultimatum over the weekend: He said, “You can save yourself and those closest to you, but you must leave the country now.”
For any assistance in leading to Maduro’s arrest, the U.S. government has placed a bounty of $50 million on the Venezuelan President.
Also, President Trump issued a warning on Saturday via Truth Social. He wrote, “To all Airlines, Pilots, Drug Dealers, and Human Traffickers, please consider THE AIRSPACE ABOVE AND SURROUNDING VENEZUELA TO BE CLOSED IN ITS ENTIRETY.”
Trump designates Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist group
The President also designated certain chapters of the Muslim Brotherhood organization as a terrorist group, as of Sunday.

Top 3 ministries serving the persecuted
Of the six ministries serving the persecuted saints, Ministry Watch rates International Christian Concern, Equipping the Persecuted, and Persecution Project highest for financial efficiency, transparency, and donor confidence. Voice of the Martyrs is rated lowest.

U.S. government ran a $1.8 trillion deficit
The financial numbers are in for the U.S. government’s fiscal year 2025, ending in October.
The government ran a deficit of $1.8 trillion for the year. That’s down $41 billion or 2% compared to the previous year. However, revenues increased by $317 billion due to higher tariffs on imported goods.
Spending was up a whopping 4% or $275 billion, driven by welfare and benefit programs, as well as rising interest payments on the public debt.

And finally, the Christian faith appears to be at stake -- in a tight election in Tennessee for the 7th District Congressional seat.
The Democrat candidate Aftyn Behn has gone on record stating she is opposed to Christian prayer in the public forum.
President Donald Trump took to Truth Social yesterday. He warned that Behn “hates Christianity, will take away your guns, wants Open Borders. . . men in women’s sports, and openly disdains Country music.”
The latest polls show the Republican candidate, Van Epps, is holding a slight lead in today’s election.

Why are Christians in Nigeria Facing Such Violent Attacks?
President Donald Trump recently brought the topic of Christian persecution up noting that Nigeria was quote a ‘Country of Particular Concern’ for violating religious freedom. This has led to questions over why so many Nigerian Christian communities have faced violent attacks and why the President of the United States would require attention to this issue.
Persecution.org examined this question and has found that according to most western media outlets Climate Change is often used to portray the violent attacks over natural resources instead of religious motivation.
For example, in 2023 a massacre occurred on Christmas Eve. Over 140 people were killed in Nigeria Plateau state. Vatican News ran an article that said, quote ‘the long-running conflict between nomadic herders and farmers’.
Right after a massacre in June of this year in which 200 Christians in Nigeria’s Benue state were killed. The BBC ran an article on violence in central Nigeria that said quote ‘It is safe to assume that there are lots of victims on both sides, as any attack usually leads to revenge and then a cycle of violence’
Why is that safe to assume?
Justice G Danjuma, an evangelist for the Remnant Christian Network in Nigeria’s Taraba State, does agree that disputes over resources play a role, just not nearly as big a role as many Media outlets would have you believe.
Danjuma says quote ‘Overwhelmingly the attacks are driven by religious animosity.’ He also encouraged people to quote ‘Reject the climate change narrative pushed by Western Media’ He and added that it is quote, ‘It is deeply offensive and misleading. Why would climate change cause people to burn churches, kill pastors and massacre worshippers during Christmas or Palm Sunday services.’
Nigeria is currently number 7 on the Open Doors World Watch List for countries where Christians face the most extreme persecution.
Pray for the believers in Nigeria with the words of Psalm 35:1-3: "Contend, O Lord, with those who contend with me; Fight against those who fight against me! Take hold of shield and buckler and rise for my help! Draw spear and javelin against my pursuers! Say to my soul, I am your salvation!"
ADF Releases Report of Christian Victories in the Supreme Court
The Alliance Defending Freedom or ADF released a report listing the victories of 2025 so far this year! Among the victories in the US Supreme Court they reported were;
A decision in June that pro-life states like South Carolina can now direct Medicaid funds away from abortion businesses like Planned Parenthood.
And a landmark victory for children’s health and science based medicine. The Court upheld Tennessee law protecting minors from harmful and life-altering gender transition drugs and surgeries.
A link to a full list of cases won and still awaiting decisions is in a link in our transcript.
Conscience Protections for Medical Residents Act Introduced
Lifenews.com reports that US Senator John Cornyn from Texas along with Senator James Lankford from Oklahoma and a group of their Senate GOP colleagues, introduced the Conscience Protections for Medical Residents Act, which would ensure medical students and residents are never pressured or coerced into abortion training that violates their moral or religious beliefs and established clear federal protections so residents are not forced to choose between their conscience and their careers.
Senator Cornyn said quote, ‘The first rule of medicine is to do no harm, yet for many aspiring doctors, coerced abortion training not only contradicts that oath but also violates their moral and religious beliefs. By allowing medical residents to opt-in rather than opt-out of abortion training, this legislation would protect healthcare professionals convictions and give them the freedom to practice medicine without fear of retaliation.’
Findings from Abortion Mill Undercover Investigation Released
RightNow a not-for-profit organization committed to nominating and electing pro-life candidates along with educating and engaging pro-life Canadians on the political process, recently released the findings of an undercover investigation in which they went into abortion clinics across Canada to find out if it was possible to get a late-term abortion based solely on personal choice.
Alissa Golob, Co-Founder and Executive Director of RightNow says quote, ‘Canadians are often told that late-term abortions never happen in Canada and if they do, they are for extreme medical reasons. Yet, I was told numerous times that attaining a late-term abortion in Canada is relatively easy, legal and that I did not need a reason, medical or otherwise, regarding myself or my pregnancy.’
Other things exposed in this investigation were things like an abortion clinic counsellor defining late-term abortion in Canada as stillbirth, which calls into question the validity of current statistics around late-term abortions in Canada. And that taxpayer money in Canada has been used to fund travel and accommodations of Canadian women who are being sent to for-profit abortion clinics.

New Anti-Conversion Laws in India
According to Persecution.org Police in the northwestern Indian state of Rajasthan recently registered the first case under the state’s recently enacted anti-conversion legislation against two missionaries. The Christians were accused of carrying out religious conversions at a gathering through “allurement,” according to media reports.
After registering the case on Nov. 20, police issued notices to the two missionaries – Chandy Varghese from New Delhi and Arun John from Kota – claiming they promoted conversion and baptised several people during a three-day program known as ‘Spiritual Satsang’ at Beersheba Church in Kota.
Police investigated after videos and social media clips surfaced showing event speeches and activities. Several youths allegedly announced from the stage that they put their faith in Jesus Christ and were baptized, while calling upon others to adopt Christianity. Rajasthan is one of 12 states in India that has strict anti-conversion laws.
A first information report (FIR) was registered by the police after complaints were lodged by hardline Hindu groups active in controlling Christian activities.
2 Thessalonians 3:2-3 That we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith. But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
Christians in Uganda Threatened Despite Freedom of Religion Laws
A Sudanese Christian family in Uganda is living in fear after Muslim extremists from Sudan and Somalia threatened to kill them.
Safaa Yousif, who fled her native Sudan to Uganda due to conflict and religious persecution in 2016, received a text message from an anonymous number threatening to kill her family.
Muslims from Somalia have also threatened her. Yousif said she once gave discipleship classes to new converts, and a Somali Muslim who had put his faith in Christ was kidnapped and tortured by his co-religionists from Somalia and Sudan.
Somalia is ranked 2nd on the Christian support group Open Doors 2025 World Watch List of the 50 countries where it is most difficult to be a Christian. Its constitution establishes Islam as the state religion and prohibits the propagation of any other religion, according to the US State Department. It also requires that laws comply with Sharia Principles, with no exceptions in application for non-Muslims.
The threats on Yousif’s family in Uganda were the latest of many instances of persecution of Christians in Uganda.
An interesting fact to consider is that Uganda’s constitution and other laws provide for religious freedom, including the right to propagate one’s faith and convert from one faith to another. Muslims make up no more than 12 percent of Uganda’s population, with high concentrations in eastern areas of the country.
Pray that the Yousif family be reminded of the words of Jesus in Acts 1:7-8
It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit as come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth.
New hurdle in James Comey case
The prosecution of former FBI Director James Comey hit another hurdle last Wednesday as the Justice Department encountered mounting questions about how the case was presented to a grand jury for indictment, reports the Associated Press.
The development risked further jeopardizing a politically charged prosecution already subject to multiple challenges and demands for its dismissal. It came during a hearing in which Comey’s lawyers asked U.S. District Judge Michael Nachmanoff to throw out the case on grounds that the government was being vindictive and as a separate challenge to Lindsey Halligan, the hastily appointed and inexperienced prosecutor who secured the indictment, is pending.
The Justice Department’s acknowledgment under questioning from a judge that the full grand jury did not review a copy of the final indictment is the latest indication of its seemingly disjointed pursuit of a criminal case against one of President Donald Trump’s political enemies. Comey was fired by Trump in May 2017 while overseeing an FBI investigation into potential ties between Russia and Trump’s 2016 campaign. The two have been publicly at odds ever since.
New Exoskeleton Suit is Accomplishing Miracles
At a Canadian wellness center, a unique robotic exoskeleton is allowing children with developmental disorders to walk-often for the first time.
The nonprofit’s Regina location in Canada is eager to get families to come and try it out. It can be used to correct a child’s gait or help them take their first steps, and is suitable for a variety of conditions including spinal cord injuries and cerebral palsy.
Good News Network reports that the First Steps Wellness Center in Canada received the Trexo exoskeleton out of the goodness of someone’s heart! The $100,000 machine was donated to help children like Leo, a boy born with a rare genetic disease which left him a prognosis that walking would be impossible. But, latched into the Trexo walker at First Steps, his mother Anna has watched her son learn to walk and develop a musculature that has him able to take steps on his own.
ANNA: “He does a few steps right now by himself, and with Trexo, I'm pretty sure he'll be able to do more steps in the future, once we start using it more often.”
There are currently 6 Trexo exoskeletons sold and in use today. After a few sessions, how is Leo doing today?
ANNA: “He can walk! You know, be part of everybody else, like walk like other kids. So, it's kind of- It's unique. He did amazing. I have butterflies. I can't believe [this] thing even exists!”
Despite the 6 figure price tag it is the hope that more of the Trexo walkers will be made available in Canada and the US.

18 Church Leaders Arrested in China
Authorities in China arrested 18 leaders from Zion Church last Tuesday.
Zion Church is one of the largest unregistered church in the country. The congregation has faced persecution for years. In the latest crackdown on the church, police detained at least 30 Christians across seven cities since October. The arrested leaders can effectively be held indefinitely in pre-trial detention.
Scott Bower with Christian Solidarity Worldwide said the church leaders were “targeted solely for the peaceful exercise of their religious belief.”
Taiwan Spends Extra $40 billion on Defense
The self-ruling island of Taiwan plans on spending an extra $40 billion on defense in the face of threats from China. The Chinese government continues to claim the island as its own.
Taiwan’s President Lai Ching-te announced the plan yesterday. He said, “China’s threats to Taiwan and the Indo-Pacific region are escalating. . . . History has proven that compromising with aggression only brings war and enslavement.”
The U.S. State Department welcomed the plan. And Japan recently stated that a Chinese attack on Taiwan could trigger a military response from Tokyo.
Poland Facing Changes to Marriage Law
In Europe, Poland is facing challenges to its marriage law.
The country currently bans faux same-sex marriage and defines marriage as a union between a man and a woman.
However, the European Court of Human Rights ruled Tuesday that Poland must recognize the faux same-sex marriages of other European Union countries.
Some Polish lawmakers are trying to change the marriage law. But Poland’s President Karol Nawrocki has said he would veto “any bill that would undermine the constitutionally protected status of marriage.”
Jesus said in Mark 10:6-8, “But from the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female.’ ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh.”
Roman Catholic Church Praises Monogamous Marriage
The Roman Catholic Church recently praised monogamous marriage between one man and one woman. The Vatican's Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith released the document Tuesday.
The doctrinal note came in response to concerns from bishops in Africa where polygamy is still practiced.
The document stated, “Polygamy, adultery, or polyamory are based on the illusion that the intensity of the relationship can be found in the succession of partners.”
However, the Vatican’s doctrinal dicastery has previously allowed priests to give a blessing to same-sex couples in certain cases.
U.S. Highschoolers Losing Interest in Marriage
In the United States, high schoolers are losing interest in eventually getting married.
Pew Research reports 67% of 12th graders in 2023 said they would want to get married in the future. That’s down from 80% in 1993. Twelfth graders are also less likely to want children or to stay married to the same person for life if they do get married.
In particular, high school girls are much less likely to want to get married someday. Boys’ interest in eventually getting married has remained relatively unchanged over the last 30 years.
U.S. State Department Addresses Human Rights Violations
The U.S. State Department announced a list of acts it considers human rights violations.
These acts include transgender surgeries, government funded abortions or abortifacient drugs, attempts at coerced euthanasia, and violations of religious freedom.
Tommy Pigott is the Principal Deputy Spokesperson for the Department of State. He told The Daily Signal, “In recent years, new destructive ideologies have given safe harbor to human rights violations. The Trump administration will not allow these human rights violations, such as the mutilation of children.”
Do People Still Thank God on Thanksgiving?
And finally, Lifeway Research reports two in three Americans say they typically give thanks to God at Thanksgiving.
Lifeway Research also shared the Bible verses Christians turn to at Thanksgiving based on Bible-reading apps. Many of them are from the Psalms.
One of the most-read verses at Thanksgiving over the last five years was Psalm 9:1-2. The passages says, “I will thank the Lord with all my heart; I will declare all your wondrous works. I will rejoice and boast about you; I will sing about your name, Most High.”
The most popular verse last year was 1 Chronicles 16:34. The verse says, “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his faithful love endures forever.”

Christian Institute Proposed Street Preacher Charter.
Officials in the U.K. are increasingly targeting Christians who express their faith in public.
In response, the Christian Institute launched its new “Street Preacher's Charter” in Parliament last week.
The document defends the rights of street preachers in England and Wales. The wrongful arrest of a Scottish preacher in 2022 inspired the charter.
Mike Judge, a trustee of The Christian Institute, said, “This Charter is a timely shield for those who dare to speak — and a timely corrective for a society tempted to silence them.”
U.K. Street Preacher Acquitted
A jury in the U.K. acquitted a street preacher recently.
The case began after a Muslim family reported street preacher Shaun O’Sullivan to authorities. Officials charged him with religiously aggravated intentional harassment.
However, O’Sullivan testified in court that he simply preaches the Gospel in public after being saved from a life of crime and violence.
Andrea Williams with the Christian Legal Centre said, “This was another example of police overreach . . . The acquittal is . . . a reminder of the fragile state of fundamental freedoms in our country right now.”
When commanded not to preach, the apostles said in Acts 4:19-20, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. For we cannot but speak about the things which we have seen and heard.”
Christian Universities to Launch Outreach to Europe
One of the largest Christian universities in the United States is launching outreach to Europe to counter the rise of secularism there.
Liberty University of Lynchburg, Virginia is now offering over 600 online degrees to students in Europe.
Lucian Mustata is Liberty’s European representative for the project. He told Christian Daily International, “we need to invest in the next generation. In the long term, secularism grows in Europe because we're not investing in teenagers and the next generation with Christian values. It's very important to have Christian education in Europe.”
Trump Designates the Muslim Brotherhood as Terrorist Organization
On Monday, President Donald Trump signed an executive order to designate certain chapters of the Muslim Brotherhood as foreign terrorist organizations.
The organization was founded in 1928 with chapters across the Middle East.
Last week, Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott similarly designated the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization. He said the goal of the group is to “forcibly impose Sharia law . . . These radical extremists are not welcome in our state and are now prohibited from acquiring any real property interest in Texas.”
This coming on the heels of a report released called The Muslim Brotherhood Strategic Entryism into the United States. Chris Mitchell from CBN News has more concerning this report.
MITCHELL: “And what it does, and why this is so significant – it exposes a generational strategy to impose Shariah Law on the United States. They call it “a civilizational struggle,” and it's based on four pillars. One is influencing public policy. Two, influencing legal strategies, and what that tries to do is minimize criticism of Islam and turn that into charges of Islamphobia and charges of discrimination. Number three is infiltration of institutions – charities, universities, schools, and even to influence Middle East studies in those universities. And, four is to control the narrative through the medium, to shake the public debate. A key issue in this is the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We've heard charges of Palestine, from the river to the sea, globalize the Intifadah. That puts it in context, is what they're trying to do is just influence media, the society, and then just introduce, in a gradual way, Shariah Law.”
Planned Parenthood Forced to Shut Down Centers Due to Financial Strain
Planned Parenthood announced yesterday it is closing one of its locations in Ohio.
The abortion giant has now closed 45 centers so far this year. Many closures are due to the Trump administration’s support for defunding abortion providers.
A recent report from Planned Parenthood admits, “Already buckling under immense financial strain due to our country’s frayed and underfunded public health system, Planned Parenthood health centers across the country are being pushed to the brink.”
New Survey Concerning the Understanding of Salvation is Released by Barna
Dr. George Barna released his latest research on the worldview of Americans.
The survey found most U.S. adults say eternal salvation demands a blend of works and grace. For example, one-third of Americans who call themselves “born-again” believe good people can earn salvation. And nearly half of Americans believe they will earn their way into Heaven by being generally good or doing enough good deeds.
Dr. Barna noted, “There remains a shocking degree of misunderstanding among Christians regarding sin, repentance, forgiveness, and salvation.”
Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
Bible Sales Surge This Year
And finally, mainstream media outlets are noting this year’s surge in Bible sales.
The Associated Press reports Americans have purchased over 18 million Bibles this year.
Brenna Connor with Circana BookScan told Religion News Service, “Sales for Bibles have been steadily growing in the U.S. since 2021 and have set unprecedented annual sales records since 2022. 2024 marked a 20-year high for Bible sales in the U.S., and 2025 is on track to surpass these levels, underscoring the growing interest in religious content among U.S. consumers.”

Eritrea Persecutes Christians
persecution.org reports now eight Christians who have languished in Eritrea prison cells for over 18 years. The charge — they were following Jesus Christ. Eritrean authorities routinely arrest and imprison Christians in horrific conditions under severe authoritarian rule.
The nation recognizes only four religious groups within its borders: the Tewahedo Orthodox Church, the Roman Catholic Church, Evangelical Lutheran churches, and Sunni Islam. All other Christian denominations are unrecognized by the state. According to a 2025 report from the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), “as of May 2024, over 350 Christians were imprisoned [in Eritrea].” The report continued, stating that “police at times arrest entire Christian families, including children, during the early morning hours.”
Brazilian Christian Homeschool Conference
The Brazilian Christian Homeschool movement is exploding. 2,000 dads, moms, and children Joao Passeo participated over a 3 day conference — with messages on Biblical Worldview in science and history, Christian education, family discipleship, family economy, God-centered curriculum, and God’s order for family, church and state. This was the fourth in the Generations and Worldview sponsored conferences in Brazil — one more way of serving 75,000 homeschoolers throughout the country. Expo organizer, Vinicius Reis had this to say about God’s powerful working in the hearts of fathers and mothers throughout Brazil:
VINICIUS: “We are here in the third day, the last day, of our Expo Homeschooling Brazil Conference. We have the mission with this event, to connect those who love and teach their children. And we achieve here, more than 2000 attendees, during these three days, and it was so special... and receiving encouragement to move it and keep moving forward, especially in our discipleship mission for our kids. So, thank you for supporting us and continue praying for us, because despite the challenge, despite the persecution, we will not stop to teach and to love our children. May God bless you and may God bless Brazil too, amen.”
Psalm 78 has a message for all Christian parents: "For [the Lord] established a testimony in Jacob, And appointed a law in Israel, Which He commanded our fathers, That they should make them known to their children; That the generation to come might know them, The children who would be born, That they may arise and declare them to their children, That they may set their hope in God, And not forget the works of God."
Argentina Considering Recognization of Homeschooling
And, Argentina is heading towards a complete rewrite of their education law — explicitly recognizing homeschooling and hybrid forms of distance education as legitimate alternatives. If the law passes, parents will be recognized as “the natural and primary agents” of education, and the state’s role will be considered subsidiary. The nations’ teachers unions have already expressed opposition to the legislation, entitled The Education Freedom Act.
G-20 Annual in Johannesburg
At least 13 presidents and prime ministers from leading nations showed up at the G-20 annual get together of the world’s most powerful men in Johannesburg, South Africa over the weekend. Nothing substantial was accomplished, besides the issuance of vague statements on climate resilience, peace, stability, the need for debt relief, and global cooperation. The US and Argentina were conspicuously absent from a meeting that involved the UK, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Brazil, Canada, and Australia. This was the United States’s first absence since the creation of G-20 in 1999 under the Clinton Administration.
According to recent numbers published in the US Government’s FY2026 budget, the US contributions to international organizations and UN peacekeeping is dropping by 89% — from $2.45 billion to $264 million.
Here is one clear message for G-20 and the world’s leaders: "Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, And rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way." Psalm 2:10
College-Grad Employment Getting Worse
College-grad employment is getting worse and worse. A recent Bloomberg story finds that the percentage of the college-educated making up the unemployment numbers in the US has increased from 12% in 2008 to 25% in 2025. Young degree-holders are running at a 9.2% unemployment rate. All that to say, the market for college-educate Marxist-activists has cooled quite a bit.
40% of US House of Representatives are Pro-Life
Exactly 40% of the US House of Representatives are pro-life and willing to oppose the mail-order abortion pill. Only 174 members signed a letter urging the Trump Administration Department of Health and Human Services to ban the mail-order kill-pill, but still allowing for in-person dispensing of it. 44 Republicans members and the Democrat contingency did not sign the letter.
Bitcoin Loses Value
Cryptocurrency is still as volatile as ever. Bitcoin has lost 30% of its value in the last six weeks — that’s the third swing exceeding 30% in just a year. Over the same year, gold took a steady 100% increase, without any significant downturns.
Wicked Movie Sequel in the Box Office
The movie sequel to Wicked received the largest box office opening since Barbie in 2023 — a worldwide record of $226 million. Wicked: For Good is based on a book meant to put both “good” and “bad” witchcraft in a good light. . . .Author, Gregory Maguire. was one of the first persons in America to stage a faux-homosexual marriage in the state of Massachusetts in 2004. The Christian film reviewing organization, Movieguide points out the latest movie advocates fornication in a lesbian context.

Nigerian Muslim terrorists abducted 300 Catholic students and staff
Muslim terrorists abducted 315 Catholic students and staff from St. Mary’s School in the northern region of Nigeria on Friday, reports International Christian Concern.
Those kidnapped include 303 students and 12 teachers. It’s one of the worst kidnappings in the nation’s history, which has tragically become a flashpoint for persecution against Catholics and Protestants.
No doubt many of them are echoing the prayer of Psalm 141:1-2 where David wrote, “I call to You, Lord, come quickly to me; hear me when I call to You. May my prayer be set before You like incense.”
Back in 2014, Boko Haram, an Islamic terrorist group, seized 276 Chibok schoolgirls.
In addition, the Islamic State West Africa Province and Fulani Muslim herdsmen have also wreaked havoc on the West African country.
The Trump administration, which designated Nigeria a Country of Particular Concern, has recently pressured the Nigerian government to do more to protect Catholics and Protestants. During the past 20 years, Nigerian Muslims have killed 50,000 Christians, displacing hundreds of thousands more.
Shawn Wright, the new president of International Christian Concern, issued an urgent call to action.
To the government of Nigeria, he called officials to:
Deploy specialized rescue forces immediately and recover the abducted Christians without delay.
Strengthen protection for Christian institutions.
Address underlying persecution.
And to the United States government, Shawn Wright called officials to:
Immediately enact tougher economic sanctions against Nigeria.
leverage assistance to Nigeria based on results.
Support civil society and Christian groups in Nigeria.
Use diplomatic influence there.
Wright said, “When children are hauled from their dormitories, when … teachers are terrorized, when entire communities live in the shadow of fear — silence is complicity.”
Former Brazilian President arrested ahead of vigil to prevent escape
Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro was taken into custody on Saturday, hours before a vigil was to be held outside his residence, reports One America News.
On Saturday, the former president’s period of house arrest ended after having been confined since August for violating a ban on the use of social media.
Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, the former president’s son, posted a video on Friday calling for a vigil in front of his father’s condominium where Javier was under house arrest. Flavio said, “I invite you to fight with us.”
Brazil’s Supreme Court ruled that the planned vigil could “cause serious harm to public order,” and potentially prevent Bolsonaro from being arrested or enable his “escape.”
Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes said that Bolsonaro violated his ankle monitor early Saturday morning.
President Donald Trump, a long-term ally of Bolsonaro, denounced the charges against the former Brazilian leader as politically motivated, calling it a “witch hunt.” He imposed a 50% tariff on United States imports of Brazilian goods in response, which Trump began to roll back this month following a meeting with current President Luiz da Silva.
Canadian pork producer objects to unlabeled lab-grown meat
One of Canada’s largest organic pork producers says the public deserves clear labelling, and a real choice before cloned meat hits supermarket shelves, reports Rebel News.
Normally, experimental items like this fall under Canada's novel foods category, requiring a thorough pre-market safety assessment. This framework mandates that developers provide detailed data on production, contaminants, allergens, toxins, and nutrition. Health Canada reviews typically take about 410 days.
However, Health Canada quietly released a statement on November 13th concluding, based on "all available information" and "scientific opinion," that foods from lab-grown clones of healthy cattle and swine are as safe as those from traditionally bred animals.
This lab-grown meat has rightly been dubbed “franken-beef” like Frankenstein, the grotesque humanoid character, created in the imagination of Mary Shelley in 1818, who was put together using different body parts from fresh graves and vaults of skeletal remains.
Health Canada has innocuously labeled the lab-grown meat as “cellular agriculture.”
Proverbs 12:22 says, “The LORD detests lying lips, but He delights in people who are trustworthy.”
Tamara Ugolini of Rebel News offered this warning to Canadians.
UGOLINI: “Health Canada has decided there's no meaningful difference between lab-grown, cloned meat and real life grown meat. So, no labels, no warnings, and, once again, no transparency from the agency allegedly dedicated to regulatory openness and transparency.”
Vincent Breton, a legitimate live pork producer, said, “Consumers should have the right to decide for themselves whether they are going to buy genetically modified foods.”
Marjorie Taylor Greene resigns from Congress after clash with Trump
Marjorie Taylor Greene, the Make America Great Again firebrand who rose to prominence as a combative supporter of President Donald Trump, announced late Friday she is resigning from Congress after a public feud with him, reports Politico.com.
Greene, who was elected to Congress in 2020 from a rural northwestern Georgia district, made the surprise announcement in an 11-minute video address.
She cited her willingness to oppose the Democratic agenda which was costly on a personal level.
GREENE: “I have fought against Democrats’ damaging policies like the Green New Deal, wide open, deadly, unsafe border policies, and the trans agenda on children and against women. With that has brought years of non-stop, never-ending personal attacks, death threats, lawfare, ridiculous slander and lies about me that most people could never withstand even for a single day.”
She also noted the handful of differences she had with President Trump.
GREENE: “I never changed or went back on my campaign promises and only disagreed in a few areas, like my stance against H-1B replacing American jobs, AI state moratoriums, debt-for-life-50-year-mortgage scams, standing strongly against all involvement in foreign wars and demanding the release of the Epstein files. Other than that, my voting record has been solidly with my party and the president.
“Loyalty should be a two-way street, and we should be able to vote our conscience and represent our district's interests because our job title is literally Representative.’”
Congresswoman Greene highlighted her disagreement with President Trump over the Epstein files.
GREENE: “Standing up for American women who were raped at 14 years old, trafficked and used by rich, powerful men should not result in me being called a traitor and threatened by the President of the United States, whom I fought for.”
She did not want to go through a bruising Republican primary in the spring.
GREENE: “I do not want my sweet district to have to endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me by the President that we all fought for, only to fight and win my election, while Republicans will likely lose the midterms, and, in turn, be expected to defend the President against impeachment after he hatefully dumped tens of millions of dollars against me and tried to destroy me.”
That’s what led to her surprise resignation announcement.
GREENE: “I'll be resigning from office, with my last day being January, 5, 2026.”
Stray mutt gets award for comforting families after school shooting
And finally, a stray mutt that turned into a service dog, soothing kids after a school shooting, has just been crowned the 2025 Hero Dog Award by the American Humane Society, reports GoodNewsNetwork.org.
Sgt. Bo, the mixed breed from Nashville, Tennessee, may have started as a stray, but after being rescued off the streets of Florida in 2022, and trained for 12 weeks by prisoners in Brevard County, the four-year-old mutt became a certified therapy dog with the Nashville Police Department.
Just three months into his service with Officer Faye Okert, tragedy struck when a transgender killed three students and three teachers at the city’s Covenant School.
Sgt. Bo was called to help comfort children and families at the reunification site—climbing onto buses, letting shaken students rest against him, and staying until the last family left.
Since then, he has continued visiting schools across the community, helping kids open up, easing anxiety, and reminding everyone that healing can come from the most unexpected places.

Christian ethnic cleansing survivors given new homes in Armenia
Several families displaced by ethnic cleansing in their ancient Christian homeland more than two years ago were given new homes and plots of land on Tuesday through a charitable initiative seeking to help revitalize a rural Armenian mountain village, reports the Christian Post.
Romans 12:15 says, “Rejoice with those who rejoice.”
The Tufenkian Foundation has cut the ribbon on a pilot refugee village in Svarants, completing the first 10 of 20 new homes in the upper reaches of Armenia's mountainous Tatev Municipality, which borders Iran and Azerbaijan.
The new homes, which come with adjoining plots of land and a barn, were built specifically to help families rebuild their lives around the agricultural and livestock work they were doing before Azerbaijan's 2023 invasion of Nagorno-Karabakh. It’s a predominantly Armenian region known affectionately to Armenians as the Republic of Artsakh.
After a months-long military blockade, more than 120,000 ethnic Artsakh Armenians were forced from their homes in September 2023, and most have lived for two years throughout Armenia with what Artsakh leaders say has been inadequate social integration.
Judge orders Trump to end National Guard deployment in DC
On Thursday, U.S. District Judge Jia Cobb, a Biden appointee, ordered the Trump administration to end its monthslong deployment of National Guard troops to help police the nation’s capital, reports the Associated Press.
She asserted that President Donald Trump’s military takeover in Washington, D.C., illegally intrudes on local officials’ authority to direct law enforcement in the district.
Trump had said the troops were needed to deal with rampant crime and violence in Washington and support federal immigration law enforcement efforts there.
Pope Leo met with Illinois’ pro-abortion, pro-perversion governor
The stream of liberal clergy and scandalous public figures who are given audiences with Pope Leo XIV seemingly never comes to an end.
Now comes news that pro-abortion Democratic Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker spoke with Leo for 40 minutes at the Vatican during a private meeting on Wednesday, reports LifeSiteNews.com.
In the past, Pritzker has designated Illinois a “sanctuary state” for women seeking abortions, expanded access to chemical abortion pills, and approved policies sexual perversion activists have long desired. To top it off, Pritzker may sign a bill that would legalize physician-assisted suicide.
According to Proverbs 6:17, one of seven things that God hates is “hands that shed innocent blood.”
A Pritzker spokesman said that the audience with Leo was arranged by pro-homosexual Chicago Cardinal Blase Cupich, a man with whom he has had a long friendship.
Neither Trump nor Vance not invited to Dick Cheney’s funeral
Political figures from across the aisle gathered Thursday in Washington, DC, for the funeral of former Vice President Dick Cheney — a key figure of pre-MAGA Republican politics, reports CBS News.
The funeral, which was attended by two former presidents and all living former vice presidents, was a bipartisan who’s who of Washington dignitaries yet with the notable absence of two of the country’s current leaders.
Neither President Donald Trump nor Vice President J.D. Vance were invited to the funeral.
Cheney received full military honors at the invitation-only memorial service at Washington’s National Cathedral. Attendees included former Presidents Joe Biden and George W. Bush, former First Ladies Jill Biden and Laura Bush, as well as former Vice Presidents Kamala Harris, Mike Pence, Al Gore, and Dan Quayle.
George W. Bush: Dick Cheney was a serious man
Former President George W. Bush eulogized Dick Cheney, his former vice president, as a consummate public servant who could be relied on, and who “lifted the standards” of those around him.
BUSH: “In a profession that attracts talkers, Dick Cheney was a thinker and a listener. And when he did speak up, conveying thoughts in that even tone of voice, that orderly, unexcitable manner, you knew you were getting the best of a highly disciplined mind.
“No colleague, no legislator, no foreign leader who ever met Dick Cheney ever doubted that they were dealing with a serious man.”
Cheney, who served as Bush’s vice president from 2001 to 2009, died on November 3 at the age of 84. Prior to being elected vice president, Cheney served as defense secretary, White House chief of staff, and as a congressman representing Wyoming.
Texas Governor slams judge who blocked redistricting map
Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott slammed the El Paso federal judge, a 2019 Trump nominee, who once worked for Abbott, for authoring the decision that blocked the state's congressional redistricting map that President Donald Trump wanted ahead of next year's elections, reports the San Antonio Express-News.
In an appearance on Fox News, Abbott said a previous redistricting decision by U.S. District Court Judge Jeffrey Brown, who worked for Abbott when he was a Texas Supreme Court justice in the 1990s, was overturned last year.
ABBOTT: “Judge Brown, who wrote that opinion, he was just reversed last year in a different redistricting decision. He was wrong last year. He's wrong this year. I have never seen an opinion so erroneous in its writing. That's something that the United States Supreme Court, I think, is just not going to tolerate.”
Abbott said he is “confident” that the U.S. Supreme Court will side with Texas and allow the new map, which gives Republicans five more winnable seats, to be used in the 2026 midterm elections.
The case has major ramifications for control of the U.S. House during the final two years of Trump's presidency. Republicans currently hold a five-seat majority in the U.S. House. If Democrats retake control of the chamber, they would have the power to stop all major legislation Trump wants passed and would be able to hold hearings to investigate the administration's policy decisions and actions.
British shoe cobbler victorious in David vs. Goliath battle
And finally, a British shoe cobbler in Gloucestershire, England, named Alan Macdonald, has been happily repairing shoes for thirty years at Macdonald Traditional Cobbler.
MACDONALD: “Well, my father was a cobbler and my grandfather was a cobbler. So, I've been around probably since I was about five. I think my father had me doing work.”
Recently, a corporate shoe repair chain wanted to open a location right across the street. Local citizens signed a petition to protect Alan McDonald, reports GoodNewsNetwork.org. The petition to reject the corporate newcomer collected 1,000 signatures from people in the area through social media, including the local Parliament member.
MACDONALD: “You know, I hadn't expected this swell of support that's happened as a result of this application. I mean, I just was not expecting that.”
A United Kingdom grocery chain Tesco had submitted a planning application together with another chain called Timpson, to open a new location of one of their bizarre service centers that offered combinations of dry cleaning, watch repair, key duplication, photo printing, engraving, portraiture, and shoe repair.
To Macdonald’s delight, when the corporate application for its new location was due to be discussed at a parish council meeting, Tesco confirmed it would not be moving forward. However, it failed to specify whether or not the petition drive led to their decision.
MACDONALD: “It was quite a worry to be honest. You know, I don't make a massive amount of money. I mean, only a small amount taken away from the income that I make here would make it very difficult to survive, to be honest.”

Muslims in Congo killed 17 patients in a Christian hospital
Sheer evil has struck Africa again.
Last Friday, Muslim militants with the Allied Democratic Forces killed 17 people at a Christian hospital in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
The armed rebels killed patients in their hospital beds, including women who were nursing their babies. Such civilian massacres are becoming more common in the Christian-majority area.
Congo is ranked 35th on the Open Doors’ World Watch List of the most dangerous countries to be a Christian. Open Doors’ profile for the country notes, “Allied with the Islamic State group, the [Allied Democratic Forces] abduct and kill Christians and attack churches, leading to widespread terror, insecurity and displacement.”
European Court of Human Rights denied rights of unborn humans
The European Court of Human Rights ruled in favor of abortion last week, denying the rights of unborn humans.
The case began when a woman wanted to get an abortion in Poland after discovering her baby had a genetic disorder. However, Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal had struck down abortion on the basis of disability.
So, the woman travelled abroad for an abortion and challenged Poland’s decision. The European court ruled against Poland in the case.
Dr. Felix Böllmann with Alliance Defending Freedom International warned, “This judgment sends a troubling signal that the Court is again willing to overstep its role. The Court should return to its original mission of protecting genuine human rights, not inventing false ones.”
Isaiah 10:1-2 says, “Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, who write misfortune, which they have prescribed to rob the needy of justice ... that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless.”
U.S. pregnancy centers are seeing growth
In the United States, pregnancy centers are seeing growth in recent years.
The Charlotte Lozier Institute released its 2025 National Pregnancy Center Report. The study found 2,775 pregnancy centers provided over $452 million in care, education, and material goods to families in 2024.
The centers also saw over one million new clients for the first time last year. That’s the equivalent of each location serving a new client every day!
The phase out of the unnecessary Department of Education
The U.S. Department of Education announced Tuesday it is handing off major responsibilities to other federal agencies. This is part of the Trump administration’s plan to close the department.
The plan transfers major programs to the Departments of Labor, Interior, State as well as Health and Human Services.
Listen to comments from U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon.
MCMAHON: “The announcement really follows the plan that President Trump has had since Day 1, and that is returning education to the states. He fully believes, as do I, the best education is that that is closest to the child, and not one run from a bureaucracy in Washington D.C.”
Only 11% of U.S. churchgoers have Biblical worldview
Christian researcher Dr. George Barna released his latest survey on the worldview of Americans, specifically regular churchgoers.
The report found only 11% of churchgoers have a Biblical worldview. Only 54% say the Bible is the inspired, error-free Word of God. About 50% or less believe the Bible speaks clearly on moral issues. And 32% of churchgoers now prefer socialism over capitalism.
Dr. David Closson, Director of the Center for Biblical Worldview at the Family Research Council, commented on the study. He said, “The answer to these trends is not despair, but a return to the faithful proclamation of God’s Word. We must help Christians connect their zeal for God with the knowledge of God, as Scripture commands in Romans 10:2.”
That verse says, “For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.”
WalMart CEO and Berkshire Hathaway CEO retire
And finally, CEOs of U.S. companies are leaving at record rates this year. This comes as many executives are reaching retirement age.
For example, 59-year-old Doug McMillion will retire from being CEO of Walmart next year after leading the retailer’s growth for over a decade.
In another case, 95-year-old Warren Buffett is stepping down as CEO of Berkshire Hathaway this year. After 60 years in leadership, the renowned investor sent out his final letter to shareholders last week.
In his final thoughts, Buffett wrote, “Greatness does not come about through accumulating great amounts of money. When you help someone in any of thousands of ways, you help the world. Kindness is costless but also priceless. Whether you are religious or not, it’s hard to beat The Golden Rule as a guide to behavior.”
Buffett’s billions funded millions of abortions
Too bad Buffet has not used his resources to treat the unborn children in the womb with such Golden Rule kindness.
Instead, the Media Research Center reported that Buffett’s grants to abortion groups through the Buffett Foundation totaled at least $1.3 billion between 1989 and 2012. (The tax returns from 1997 to 2000 were missing.) The New York Times reported, “Most of the [Buffet] Foundation’s spending goes to abortion and contraception.”
Buffett’s biographer describes him as having “a Malthusian dread” of population growth among the poor.
And the Buffett Foundation’s spending in this area was accelerating rapidly as the 2000s unfolded.
Beneficiaries of Buffett’s deadly giving include $300 million for abortion giant Planned Parenthood as well as millions more for the National Abortion Rights Action League, the National Abortion Federation, Catholics for a Free Choice, Abortion Access Project, Population Council, Marie Stopes International, the Center for Reproductive Rights, and dozens of other pro-abortion advocates.
In addition, the Buffett Foundation gave money that was instrumental in creating the abortion drug RU-486 and pushing it through clinical trials. Tragically, 63% of mothers who abort in America today use this deadly drug to kill their babies.

Christians faced 2,211 hate crimes in Europe last year
Christians and churches are facing increased attacks in Europe. The Observatory on Intolerance and Discrimination Against Christians in Europe released their latest report on Monday.
Christians faced 2,211 hate crimes across the continent last year. The number is slightly down from 2023, but last year saw a rise in violent crimes like physical attacks and arson.
The countries with highest number of anti-Christian incidents were France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, and Austria.
189 university evangelists gathered in Spain
The Fellowship of Evangelists in the Universities of Europe held their 17th annual meeting in Spain recently.
Evangelical Focus reports 189 university evangelists from 39 countries attended the conference. Evangelists are committed to the public proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the universities of Europe.
The article noted, “A strong theme of the conference was the renewed spiritual openness emerging across the continent, particularly among young people.”
Romans 10:15 says, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!”
Trump lifted tariffs on 200 food products
In the United States, President Donald Trump lifted tariffs on over 200 food products last Friday.
The products include coffee, beef, bananas, and orange juice.
The move comes as Americans face rising grocery prices.
Listen to comments from President Trump aboard Air Force One.
TRUMP: “For the most part, the foods, when we cut back a little bit on those tariffs, will get the price down. But they're not competitive in this country, like tomatoes and bananas and things we don't make in this country. So, there's no protection of our industries or our food products.”
President Trump also suggested sending $2,000 tariff rebate checks to most Americans next year.
House to release Epstein Files without redacting perpetrators’ names
The House of Representatives, in a near-unanimous vote, passed a bill on November 18 that would require the Department of Justice to release more files surrounding the deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, reports The Epoch Times.
The final tally was 427–1. Republican Congressman Clay Higgins of Louisiana was the sole lawmaker who voted against the measure.
Republican Senate Majority Leader John Thune of South Dakota said he will take up the bill.
The Epstein Files Transparency Act, introduced by Democratic Congressman Ro Khanna of California and co-sponsored by Republican Congressman Thomas Massie of Kentucky, would order the Department of Justice to release “in a searchable and downloadable format all unclassified records, documents, communications, and investigative materials” tied to Epstein no later than 30 days following the enactment of the bill.
The legislation would prohibit the Justice Department from withholding, delaying, or redacting records for reputational and political reasons.
Oregon to pay 2 teachers $650,000 over their objection to biological boys entering female bathrooms
A school district in Oregon recently agreed to a $650,000 settlement for wrongfully terminating two teachers who opposed transgender ideology.
Back in 2021, Grants Pass School District terminated two teachers named Rachel Sager and Katie Medart. The two had voiced objections to allowing biological boys to enter female bathrooms and locker rooms.
Alliance Defending Freedom represented the teachers in the case. Attorney Mathew Hoffmann said, “Teachers don’t give up their First Amendment rights when they set foot on school property. Public schools can’t retaliate against speech simply because they disagree with what’s said.”
Deaths by in vitro fertilization surpass abortion deaths
Live Action reports the number of lives lost to in vitro fertilization now surpasses those lost to abortion.
In 2023, 3.8 million embryos were created through in vitro fertilization. Of those, 1.9 million embryos died or were deliberately killed. Another 1.7 million embryos were either miscarried, destroyed, donated to researchers, released for embryo adoption, or frozen indefinitely. Only 95,860 babies were born through the process.
In comparison, there were one million abortions in the U.S. in 2023.
Live Action noted, “In vitro fertilization is not about creating life but about controlling it, determining which lives are accepted as valuable and worthy and which are automatically destroyed for being deemed ‘subpar’.”
Only 49% of Americans say religion important to daily lives
A new report from Gallup found that the U.S. is experiencing one of the largest drops in religiosity in the world.
Forty-nine percent of U.S. adults say religion is an important part of their daily lives today, down from 66% in 2015. The only countries with greater drops in religiosity, over a 10-year period, are Greece, Italy, Poland, Chile, and Turkey.
However, Americans still have medium-high levels of Christian identification. The report noted, “The U.S. increasingly stands as an outlier: less religious than much of the world, but still more devout than most of its economic peers.”
Revelation 3:15-16 warns, “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.”
Last penny was just minted last week
And finally, the United States Mint struck its final penny last Wednesday.
The penny was authorized under the Coinage Act of 1792. At the time, a penny could purchase items like a biscuit, a candle, or a piece of candy. Not anymore. In fact, it costs nearly four cents to make a penny now.
The U.S. Mint has struck the penny in its current form since 1909, featuring the motto, “In God We Trust.”
U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach struck the final penny last week. He said, “God bless America, and we’re going to save the taxpayers $56 million.”

Nigerian Muslims abduct 7 people in Borno State, Nigeria
Persecution.org reports that seven people have been abducted in Chibok in Borno State, Nigeria, Africa.
Boko Haram, the Muslim terrorist group, is suspected of involvement in this kidnapping of mothers and their children, including two daughters of a local pastor and an infant.
One resident described the atmosphere in the area as shock and fear. She said, “I’m shocked and saddened by the attack. … My heart goes out to the families of the abducted. It’s heartbreaking that this is happening weekly in Chibok. The silence is deafening — we must demand action from our leaders and support our troops to bring an end to this senseless violence.”
25 girls kidnapped in Kebbi State, Nigeria
And this just in.
The Associated Press reports that 25 girls were kidnapped yesterday morning from a high school in Kebbi State, Nigeria.
Nigerian military opened fire on police in Benue State, Nigeria
Meanwhile, the Nigerian military opened fire on a police patrol in Benue State last week.
The patrol was offering protection to villagers from Fulani Muslim terrorists. Just another incident marking the unravelling of the social and political state of the Nigerian nation.
Congress might impose sanctions on Nigeria
The United States House of Representatives Subcommittee on Africa has scheduled an open hearing this Thursday on the President’s recent designation of Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern.
If ratified by the Senate, the designation would allow the U.S. to impose sanctions on Nigerian government officials found complicit in religious persecution.
German authorities targeting homeschooling and Christian schooling
Homeschooling and Christian schooling are under attack in Germany, again.
The Dietrich Bonhoeffer International School in Germany is a part-homeschool and part-Christian school hybrid. After three court hearings over the last six years, education authorities are not forcing school closure.
Two partner schools have been denied accreditation by German authorities.
Alliance Defending Freedom International is appealing the case to the European Court of Human Rights.
In 1920, Germany introduced public school compulsory attendance, By 1939, almost all denominational or confessional schools in the Reich were converted into “community schools” under state control or they were closed.
Keep in mind, God is in control. In Isaiah 43:15-17, God says, “I am the Lord, your Holy One, The Creator of Israel, your King.” Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea and a path through the mighty waters, who brings forth the chariot and horse, The army and the power, they shall lie down together, they shall not rise; They are extinguished, they are quenched like a wick.”
Marco Rubio to designate Venezuelan cartel as terrorist group
Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced Sunday that the State Department would designate Cartel de los Soles or Cartel of the Suns as a Foreign Terrorist Organization. It will take place within a week.
The cartel is believed to be headed by Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his cronies.
The State Department press release promised that the United States would use “all available tools to protect our national security interests and deny funding and resources to narco-terrorists.”
Since September, the U.S. military has completed 21 attacks on boats thought to be carrying drugs in the Caribbean seas. As of Saturday, 83 people aboard ships have been killed, and 22 ships sunk.
State Department called Maduro “one of largest narco-traffickers”
Not only has the State Department referred to Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro as "one of the largest narco-traffickers in the world,” but also the U.S. government has offered a $50 million reward for information leading to his arrest.
Venezuela’s Gross Domestic Product has sunk from $371 billion in 2013, when Madura was elected, to an estimated $107 billion this year.
HIs government is known for having killed thousands of political enemies.
In his early years, Maduro was trained as a communist in Cuba, and leads the United Socialist Party of Venezuela.
Venezuela, once rich oil-based country, no relies on illegal drugs
Venezuela was one of the most prosperous states in South America back in the 1980s and 1990s, that is, until a left-wing politician named Hugo Chávez was elected as President in 1998.
Since then, the country has shifted from an oil-based economy to a drug-based economy. Venezuelan oil production has dropped off by 75% since the late 90s.
Proverbs 28:16 speaks to this: “Like a roaring lion and a charging bear
Is a wicked ruler over poor people. A ruler who lacks understanding is a great oppressor, but he who hates covetousness will prolong his days.”
African, Muslim & Eastern countries vs West on trust in governments
The Edelman International Survey finds that the people of African, Muslim, and Eastern countries are far more optimistic about the future of their nations than the people in Western countries.
Those who live in Kenya, Indonesia, India, China, and Saudi Arabia are very optimistic — over 50% believe the next generation will be better off.
By contrast, the population of France, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Australia, the United Kingdom, Sweden, and Canada are extremely pessimistic — barely 9-20% could say the same thing.
In terms of distrust of governments, the people of Japan, Germany, Spain, Colombia, and South Africa were highly distrustful.
But those who live in Saudi Arabia, China, India, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia registered high trust in governments.
Hollywood’s economic slump
And, finally, Hollywood has gone into an economic tailspin — now sporting the worst summer season in 44 years. At $3.67 billion, Tinseltown’s summer box office season registered a 43% decrease from the peak year of 2013, adjusted for inflation.
Pagan worldview of How to Train Your Dragon 2025
In case you missed it, How to Train Your Dragon 2025 featured a pagan worldview with ample references to the ancient demonic gods of Odin and Thor, not to mention the witch consulting bones and magic.
Jurassic Park Rebirth advocated the evolution of man, environmentalism, and the woke of feminism.
And Superman 2025 got a little political and wokey around the edges, once more setting the worldview of existentialism against the polytheism of the superheroes.

Catholic cathedral bombed in Bangladesh
On November 7, a Catholic cathedral and school in Dhaka, Bangladesh, were bombed hours before a worship event that drew bishops from across the country, reports International Christian Concern.
A suspect on a motorbike threw two homemade bombs at the church — one exploded near the gate, and another landed near the property, failing to detonate. Thankfully, no one was injured in the attack.
The incident did not deter 500 Catholics from attending the worship event the following morning at St. Mary’s Cathedral, nor did it deter students from returning to school at St. Joseph School the following Monday.
Police investigators arrested a suspect and identified him as a member of a banned student political party. They have been initiating violent protests against the government, but more recently, their attacks have shifted toward churchgoers as they prepare for the February 2026 election.
St. Mary’s Cathedral plans to take legal action and punish the perpetrator.
One churchgoer said, “Anxiety grips many of us while going to church.” And Bulbul Rebeiro with the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Bangladesh, said, “We are peace-loving people, but these incidents are frightening us.”
Bangladesh ranks 24th on the Open Doors’ World Watch List of the countries most dangerous for Christians.
Gen Z protests in Mexico City, storming presidential palace
AUDIO: Sounds of rioting against police
Those are the sounds of rioters who stormed the barricades outside the presidential palace in Mexico City on Saturday as an anti-cartel protest descended into chaos, reports The Daily Mail.
Mobs of frustrated, mostly Gen Z Mexican protestors traded blows with cops and screamed slogans about how corruption and cartel killings have spiraled out of control in their country.
Thousands of people filled the streets of the nation's capital and marched to the palace, which is the official residence of President Claudia Sheinbaum, the liberal politician who took office last October.
The demonstration, largely organized by young activists and supported by older supporters of opposition movements, was the culmination of citizens' frustration with the government's inability to stop violence and provide economic opportunity.
Pablo Vazquez, Mexico City's chief of police, said 20 people were arrested and are set to be charged with battery, assault and robbery, reports Bloomberg.
Vazquez added that 60 of his police officers were injured, 40 of whom had to be sent to the hospital for treatment.
Trump supports Christian foster parents against pro-LGBT states
President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Thursday aimed at “modernizing” the child welfare system in the United States, including a guarantee to side with foster families discriminated against by states for their religious convictions, reports LifeSiteNews.com.
For example, Heath and Lydia Marvin, a Christians couple in Massachusetts who have fostered eight children under the age of four since 2020, lost their license to foster children because they refused to sign an agreement to “affirm” the alleged LGBT status of any children placed in their care.
LYDIA MARVIN: “We have been an active foster family in Massachusetts for the past four and a half years, and lost our license earlier this year due to new discriminatory policies against Christian families in Massachusetts. So grateful to be here and have the [Trump] administration's support for foster care, but also specifically for Christian families and faith-based organizations to continue caring for those who are most vulnerable in our communities.”
Her husband Heath offered his support for the Trump administration as well.
HEATH MARVIN: “It's so neat to hear the President and First Lady talking about both foster care and just the need that exists across the country for that, but also specifically, how Christians are twice as likely to be a part of foster care and to adopt. They recognize that there are states that are putting policies in place that actually drive Christians out of foster care.”
In Leviticus 18:22, the Bible affirms heterosexuality, saying, "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; such a thing is an abomination."
High school Worldview listener upset no reference to Veterans Day
Last Tuesday was Veterans Day.
Genevieve, a high school listener to The Worldview, was disappointed that we failed to acknowledge that special day.
President Donald Trump issued a proclamation. He noted, “The story of America is written with the courage, honor, and dedicated service of our veterans. Through their sacrifice, the fires of freedom burn brightly, our Republic secured, and our way of life made possible.
“For nearly 250 years, their unyielding spirit has carried our Nation through every trial and triumph, ensuring that liberty endures for all time. This Veterans Day, we show our gratitude and recommit to honor their service, uphold their legacy, and give every veteran the loyalty, respect, and support they have earned and so dearly deserve.”
Genevieve, we apologize for the oversight.
Michelle Obama: America not ready for female president
Former First Lady Michelle Obama has shut down the idea she might one day run for president.
While speaking to actress Tracee Ross this month at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Obama insisted the United States is “not ready for a woman” to lead, reports TheWrap.com.
Listen.
ROSS: “Think that that impacts the room that we've made for a woman to be President.”
OBAMA: “Well, as we saw in this past election, sadly, we ain't ready. That's why I'm like, ‘Don't even look at me about running, because you all are lying. You're not ready for a woman. (cheers) You are not. So, don't waste my time.
“You know, we got a lot of growing up to do. And there's, sadly, a lot of men who do not feel like they can be led by a woman, and we saw it. What was the question?” (laughter)
Perhaps America was not ready for Kamala Harris to be president.
Mercy Ships surgeon saves baby’s life by removing gigantic tumor
And finally, a British surgeon removed a life-threatening tumor from a baby’s neck that was as big as her entire face, reports GoodNewsNetwork.org.
The lump has been growing since she was just five months old, but when her mother, Aminata, took her to the local hospital in Sierra Leone, West Africa, doctors told her she was too young for surgery.
By the time Memunatu was ten months old, her family began to fear the worst until her mother bumped into a volunteer who works for Mercy Ships, a healthcare charity that operates hospitals aboard ships.
Providentially, the Global Mercy ship was docked in Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone. When the staff saw how the tumor would eventually suffocate her, they immediately agreed to perform surgery aboard their ship for free.
Earlier this year, she was admitted and prepped for the meticulous four-hour surgery performed by Royal London Hospital’s Head and Neck Surgeon, Dr. Leo Cheng. He successfully removed the tumor, effectively saving Memunatu’s life.
In Acts 20:35, Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
If you’d like to make a donation to help the ongoing work of Mercy Ships, look for the special link in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com.
