My name is Chris McMichael. I am a husband. A father. A pastor. A missionary. An author. Once upon a time I was even a geologist.

On Theology, Things, & Stuff, I interview Christians from all over the world and from all walks of life to discuss their salvation experience and their unique interests and testimonies. From a missionary that gave up the American dream to preach in Africa, to a Catholic obsessed with excellence in woodworking; from a brother who runs 100-mile races, to a conservative black politician, the interviews on Theology, Things, & Stuff showcase the beauty and diverse experiences of the Body of Christ.

Each episode will conclude with a brief teaching that ties into some major point of discussion from the interview.

Katy Gordon is the Director of Children’s Ministry at Cornerstone World Outreach Church in Sioux City, Iowa. She was born and raised in the small town of Jefferson and later set out for the mission field. Prior to joining Cornerstone in 2002, Ms. Katy attended Bible School and Missions School, and lived overseas in Italy and Thailand, where she ministered in a church, elementary schools, and orphanages for three years.Today, Katy is the wife of Pastor Chace Gordon, mother to four beautiful girls, children’s ministry director, homeschool mom, business owner, and the list goes on. She is passionate about the Word of God, His design for the family, and His instruction for leading the next generation in paths of righteousness—both at church and at home.
Titus Murefu was born on March 29, 1954, during the Apartheid and the Rhodesian Bush War in Chivu, Zimbabwe. After losing his father, who was an evangelist in the Apostolic Faith Mission, to a violent death at the hands of Afrikaner mercenaries, Titus honored his father’s last commission by answering God’s call to preach the Gospel.Titus left his positon as a schoolteacher to begin ministry training in Harare in 1975 at an affiliate school of the renowned minister Reinhard Bonnke. He later went on to assist Rev. Bonnke by leading worship and interpreting at his crusades in South Africa.Today, Pastor Titus ministers and lectures at Living Waters Bible College, where he has served for over 40 years, and leads Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) Ebenezer Church in Harare. As a distinguished pastor, apostle, and Bible teacher to the Zimbabwean church, his decades of faithful labor have greatly edified the Body of Christ in a once war-torn region of Africa. He has been instrumental in unting and strengthening the church in Zimbabwe and is known around the world for his deep love for God’s people and the global Church.
Judd Saul is the founder of Equipping The Persecuted, an organization dedicated to ministering to the lost and persecuted Christians in Nigeria. The mission of Equipping The Persecuted is to take action to save lives and prevent terrorist attacks. Their goal is to protect, rebuild, and strengthen families enduring persecution by responding quickly to attacks with medical aid, food, and a prayer team to comfort victims. Judd is a family man, award-winning documentary filmmaker, entrepreneur, and missionary who answered the call to serve in Nigeria in 2011. He currently resides in Iowa with his wife, Sherry, and their five children. Also joining us is Sam Jones, pastor of Abundant Life Christian Fellowship in Humboldt, Iowa, and a member of the Equipping The Persecuted ministry team. Sam is a teacher to the Body of Christ, an avid podcaster, and a published author who focuses on the church’s role and responsibility in government and politics. Most importantly, he is a devoted husband to his wife, Sarah, and a loving father to their two sons. In this episode of Theology, Things, & Stuff, Judd and Sam shed light on the increasing severity of Christian persecution in Nigeria, exposing the cover-up, compliance, and corruption within surrounding politics, while revealing the truth and sharing ways we can help.
Dr. Richard Hanner is a longtime teacher and leader in the Body of Christ. As a vocational church planter, Dr. Hanner pioneered Courts of Praise Christian Center in LaGrange, Georgia, and served there through its 10th year. In 1989, he accepted a faculty position at Christ For The Nations Institute (CFNI) in Dallas, Texas. This role allowed him to serve as Dean of Students and Professor of New Testament during his 17 years of full-time and adjunct tenure.In May 1995, while at CFNI, Dr. Hanner led a team to plant Redeemed Community in the inner city of Dallas, Texas. He served the multi-racial congregation for 10 years. In June 2005, he and his wife Regina returned to LaGrange, Georgia, where they launched Christ the Redeemer. The church later changed its name to Church of the King after being gifted their beautiful church facilities.Dr. Hanner holds a Master of Religious Education from Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and a Doctorate in Practical Theology from Master’s Graduate School of Divinity in Evansville, Indiana. He currently serves as a Presbyter with Christ the King Family of Ministers and Churches.Residing in LaGrange, Georgia, Dr. Hanner has been married to Regina for 51 years. They have one daughter, Amanda; three grandchildren, Andrew, Anna, and Aaron; and one great-granddaughter, Millie.

Born in Sunderland, England, in 1960, Sapper Alan James (#871) joined the British Army in 1978 and served for 12 years in the Corps of Royal Engineers before joining the police force in 1990. He recounts his time serving as a patrol officer during The Troubles (also known as the Northern Ireland Conflict), openly sharing about his battle with PTSD and how he became a born-again follower of Christ in his mid-fifties. Still living in the UK, this army veteran is a faithful member of New Life Church in Billingham, where he testifies to having found his place building God’s Kingdom through the structure, accountability, and support of his local church.
Ray Bensch is a teacher of the Bible to this generation. A graduate of Central Michigan University and Supernatural Ministries Teaching Institue Bible college. He has been an ordained minister since 1992. Chief Scott Winfree, who hails from Cookeville, Tennessee, was recently appointed Chief of Police of his hometown. After graduating from Upperman High School in nearby Baxter in 1983, Chief Winfree continued his education at Tennessee Technological University (TTU), earning his BS in Sociology and AS in Criminal Justice in 1987. Joining the police force shortly after graduating TTU in 1989, Chief Winfree brings 36 years of distinguished experience to his new position as chief. In 1992, Chief Winfree married his wife, Stephanie, and together they have three sons, three daughters-in-law, and three grandchildren.

Tony Randolph was born and raised in Franklin, KY. After graduation, Tony joined the army and served for 6 years. He moved to Rapid City, SD in 1996 and married Audrey Randolph in 2011, they have 7 children. Tony is an electrical contractor and has served as a South Dakota state representative since 2018 and serves as the Pennington Co. State Committeeman since 2023.
