Single mothers frequently face the daunting challenge of juggling myriad responsibilities. The need to provide for a child while maintaining employment can stretch them thin, both emotionally and financially. Rising costs of living, coupled with the exorbitant price of childcare, often lead to a precarious existence, one that can cause a sense of despair and exhaustion. For many, the innate desire to nurture and be present for their children conflicts with the harsh reality of survival—keeping a roof over their heads, food on the table, and gaining access to fulfilling work.
Family is often seen as a safe haven, a source of unconditional love and support. However, the reality can sometimes be starkly different. Betrayal from family members—especially when it involves harm to your child—can lead to profound emotional turmoil and confusion. Understanding the dynamics of such situations, recognizing the signs of betrayal, and learning how to cope and protect your child is essential for navigating such tough times.
Seath Jackson, a 15-year-old, was lured to the end of his life by his ex-girlfriend, 15-year-old Amber Wright. Four teenagers waited for Seath to show up, and when Seath arrived, the group of teens brutalized Seath until he expired. This tragic story occurred in Summerfield, Florida, on April 17, 2011. All of the people responsible for his death were convicted of the crime. Amber Wright, her big brother, 16-year-old Kyle Hooper, 18-year-old Mark Bargo, 20-year-old Jason Soto, and 19-year-old Charlie Ely were all apprehended by investigators and ultimately convicted of the loss of Seath's life. I could not confirm the status of James Havens III's criminal charges. Leave a comment if you know what happened in his case.Show less
Aunty Bev is a well-known content creator on TikTok, Her videos are about words, definitions, and word origins. She also posts videos that are intended to instruct viewers on how to communicate correctly.
When I came across her content, I immediately followed her and enjoyed her content. It turns out, I was not the only one. Aunty Bev had over 100,000 followers at the end of 2022. Her videos were viewed often, liked, and shared. She found a niche - words - that was an instant hit and fan favorite amongst most TikTokers.
That is until she posted a video chastising this Wendy's employee during an interaction in the drive-thru. I was pretty surprised by the aggression Aunty Bev portrayed and I was not alone.
The backlash against Aunty Bev was swift: the negative comments poured in and some viewers labeled poor Aunty Bev a Karen.
Aunty Bev posted the video and ultimately pulled the video down. Shortly after that, her page on TikTok disappeared.
I am sharing the video here because it is an interesting portrayal of the human experience, mental health and cancel culture.

My teenage son has his first girlfriend. Here we go!
We heard from a few listeners who chimed in on who should pay for the repairs needed for Kate's car. I recommend that you take a second to listen to the previous episode Mary vs. Kate - When Helping A Friend Kills The Friendship. After listening to that episode come back to this one, so you can truly appreciate the listener comments in this episode.
