On this episode of They Walk Among America… It is often said that money is the root of all evil. Whether in the relentless pursuit of wealth or driven by desperation to maintain it, individuals can find themselves committing unimaginable acts. The Roseboro family seemed to possess everything one could desire: a blissful marriage, a nice home, and a thriving business worth millions. During weekends, Michael and Jan Roseboro frequently spent quality time in their backyard with their children, engaging in activities such as swimming or simply enjoying each other's company. Nevertheless, appearances can be deceiving. Some who live a life of luxury are never content, and they are willing to do anything to get what they want…*** LISTENER DISCRETION IS ADVISED *** ‘They Walk Among America’ is a Law & Crime podcast network production. This episode was hosted by Nina Innsted.Researched and written by Emily G. On this episode of They Walk Among America… Ethylene glycol is a colorless and odorless compound with a sweet taste commonly found in antifreeze. Ingesting a sufficient quantity of it can lead to fluid accumulation in the lungs, organ damage, seizures, and, ultimately, death. The effects of this poison typically manifest within one to twelve hours after ingestion, initially impacting the gastrointestinal tract and central nervous system. Within twelve to 24 hours, ethylene glycol starts affecting the heart and lungs, while toxic calcium oxalate crystals begin to form. After 24 hours or more, the metabolized poison takes its toll on the kidneys, and death becomes possible at any stage. This type of poisoning results in a slow and agonizing demise, yet it often remains imperceptible. One particularly troubling aspect is that antifreeze poisoning does not readily show up on standard toxicology tests. Consequently, if a death doesn't appear suspicious, the presence of antifreeze poisoning may go undetected…*** LISTENER DISCRETION IS ADVISED *** ‘They Walk Among America’ is a Law & Crime podcast network production. This episode was hosted by Nina Innsted.Researched and written by Emily G. Mother's Intuition

On this episode of They Walk Among America… It's often said that the bond between a mother and her child is incomparable, even transcending the boundaries of life and death. A mother forges a connection with her child that defies any worldly explanation. Such is the power of a mother's intuition. In 2004, this truth manifested in a remarkable way when a mother encountered a girl who bore an uncanny resemblance to someone she knew all too well. Having tragically lost her own daughter following a fire in 1997, she was struck by an overwhelming sense of familiarity upon seeing this girl…*** LISTENER DISCRETION IS ADVISED *** ‘They Walk Among America’ is a Law & Crime podcast network production. This episode was hosted by Nina Innsted.Researched and written by Emily G. On this episode of They Walk Among America… When people with children embark on new relationships, the children involved often require an adjustment period. This may involve adapting to new routines, becoming part of a blended family, and getting used to an entirely new dynamic. Additionally, the new adult in their lives might bring unresolved issues from their own past. At about 3 PM on July 8th, 2009, Spartanburg Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a scene following reports of a domestic incident. When first responders arrived, they were shocked to find a young child had been caught up in a situation that had nothing to do with her. The case sent shockwaves throughout the community, shedding light on the unfortunate reality that far too often, innocent children can become collateral damage in adult affairs…*** LISTENER DISCRETION IS ADVISED *** ‘They Walk Among America’ is a Law & Crime podcast network production. This episode was hosted by Nina Innsted.Researched and written by Eileen Macfarlane.Editing and scoring by Kory Hilpmann. Script editing, additional writing and production direction by Rosanna and Benjamin Fitton.MUSIC: Those Lost by MomentsThings Gone Wrong by MomentsThe Pain of Losing Love by Kurtis ParksDead Ends by Wicked CinemaVanished by Wicked CinemaSweet Collapse by Matt GrossmanWords For A Good Man by Lost GhostsDark Cloud by Ian KeloskyShadow Passage by Cody MartinNight Watch by Third AgeAl Fine by Markus HuberFor more information, visit https://lawandcrime.com/podcasts/ or https://theywalkamonguspodcast.com/  Hosted on Acast. On this episode of They Walk Among America… Every individual possesses unique fingerprints, making them invaluable in resolving homicide investigations. The year 1911 marked a significant milestone as U.S. courts officially recognized fingerprints as a dependable method of identification. Advancements continued into the 1970s when forensic professionals pioneered a novel technique—fingerprinting the deceased. This innovative approach incorporated chemical powders and photosensitive paper to capture prints. A pivotal moment occurred in 1978, as forensic experts in Miami, Florida, adopted this revolutionary method while probing a triple murder case in a local spa. At first, the crime appeared to be a robbery gone wrong. However, the examination by the forensic experts revealed that they were looking for somebody much closer to home…*** LISTENER DISCRETION IS ADVISED *** ‘They Walk Among America’ is a Law & Crime podcast network production. This episode was hosted by Nina Innsted.Researched and written by Emily G. On this episode of They Walk Among America… On the evening of July 24th, 2000, Sarasota police officers were dispatched to a house on Grand Cayman Street following a 911 call from a local resident who said a young man had told him he believed his aunt had been killed. After forcing their way into the property, they found a woman lying in a pool of blood in the kitchen, beaten to death. It didn’t take long for the victim to be identified, and it took even less time for the media to pick up the story. 52-year-old Nancy Campbell-Panitz had appeared on national television just hours before she was found dead. Her ex-husband and his new wife had confronted her on an episode of The Jerry Springer Show, and it seemed as though their troubles had followed them back home…*** LISTENER DISCRETION IS ADVISED *** ‘They Walk Among America’ is a Law & Crime podcast network production. This episode was hosted by Nina Innsted.Researched and written by Eileen Macfarlane.Editing and scoring by Kory Hilpmann. Script editing, additional writing and production direction by Rosanna and Benjamin Fitton.MUSIC: A World Suspended by Brent WoodThings Gone Wrong by MomentsInto by HillGhosts by Enoch YangJun by Kevin GrahamStorm Before The Calm by LNDOThe Skeptic by CJ-0Quiet Desperation by JCarSpooked by jshirtsNight Watch by Third AgeCaffeinated Marimba by JCarSussex by Stephen KeechRampant by CJ-0Shadow Passage by Cody MartinCompassion by ShimmerFor more information, visit https://lawandcrime.com/podcasts/ or https://theywalkamonguspodcast.com/  Hosted on Acast. On this episode of They Walk Among America… Nestled in the heart of Somers, New York, The Turner House stands as a remarkable testament to the grandeur of the 19th century. This pristine white-framed home was crafted by a wealthy Gentry farmer, and its presence exudes a sense of affluence and historical significance. Spanning an impressive 4,731 square feet, The Turner House rests on a sprawling 2.05-acre estate. The front of the home is framed by majestic and age-old trees, providing shade and ensuring an air of privacy. However, The Turner House is not without a dark past. In 1980, this once tranquil abode became the haunting scene of a gruesome murder, a murder that sent shockwaves throughout the peaceful bedroom community…*** LISTENER DISCRETION IS ADVISED *** ‘They Walk Among America’ is a Law & Crime podcast network production. This episode was hosted by Nina Innsted.Researched and written by Emily G. On this episode of They Walk Among America… It was the mid-afternoon of Wednesday, June 6th, 1962, in the Jamaica Estates North area of Queens. The street was cordoned off outside of one of the large ranch-style houses on Union Turnpike. The road had been torn up by heavy machinery, and construction workers were standing idly by. It would have been reasonable to assume that there were maintenance works underway if not for the heavy police presence. Crime scene investigators were reaching down into the sewer line that was flowing from the house and pulling out pieces of human flesh. The homeowner was nowhere to be found, but the police suspected that the victim was a teenage girl who had been brought to the residence for an illegal abortion…*** LISTENER DISCRETION IS ADVISED *** ‘They Walk Among America’ is a Law & Crime podcast network production. This episode was hosted by Nina Innsted.Researched and written by Eileen Macfarlane.Editing and scoring by Kory Hilpmann. Script editing, additional writing and production direction by Rosanna and Benjamin Fitton.MUSIC: Things Gone Wrong by MomentsOld Moor by Lincoln DavisIn Search of Discovery by Cast of CharactersUnrelenting by Dakota MackWooden by Wicked CinemaEvil Intent by Kurtis ParksC'est La Vie by ReveilleTippy Toe by VOLKShadow Passage by Cody MartinTrench by Lincoln DavisHaunted by EmorieFor more information, visit https://lawandcrime.com/podcasts/ or https://theywalkamonguspodcast.com/  Hosted on Acast. On this episode of They Walk Among America… Teachers hold a significant role in the lives of young children, second only to parents in terms of influence. Within the school environment, they are entrusted with the care and education of children, nurturing their growth and safeguarding their well-being. Consequently, parents place a considerable amount of trust in their children's teachers, relying on them to act in the best interests of their students. However, in 1998, a shocking violation of that trust unfolded in a school in Seattle, sending shockwaves worldwide. The case served as a stark reminder of the double standards that exist within society when it comes to female sexual predators…*** LISTENER DISCRETION IS ADVISED *** ‘They Walk Among America’ is a Law & Crime podcast network production. This episode was hosted by Nina Innsted.Researched and written by Emily G. On this episode of They Walk Among America… Many factors can be listed as motives in murder cases, such as greed, love, or revenge. But, when it comes to family annihilators, there is no way to make a jury understand why someone would commit such a horrendous act. When the person accused of wiping out generations of the same family happens to be a pillar of the community, a person in a position of trust and power, any sense of security is lost - but faith is not… *** LISTENER DISCRETION IS ADVISED *** ‘They Walk Among America’ is a Law & Crime podcast network production. This episode was hosted by Nina Innsted.Researched and written by Eileen Macfarlane.Editing and scoring by Kory Hilpmann. Script editing, additional writing and production direction by Rosanna and Benjamin Fitton.MUSIC: Things Gone Wrong by MomentsI Dream In Three by JCarAs Dusk Descends by Wicked CinemaGlorious by LNDONo Name Streets by ReveilleThe Matter At Hand by Salon DijonStorm Before The Calm by LNDOCompassion by ShimmerOnly In Winter by ShimmerShadows by Markus HuberStolen Moments by Salon DijonDead Ends by Wicked CinemaRunner by FallsTitan by Ghost BeatzRecognize by Grant BorlandShadow Passage by Cody MartinFor more information, visit https://lawandcrime.com/podcasts/ or https://theywalkamonguspodcast.com/  Hosted on Acast. once again, the sentencing is poor. dude IS a sex offender! he should have been put in the registry. regardless of his lack of previous (known) criminal behavior, he did become predatory and stalk-y, and was potentially far more dangerous than the Court accorded him. he was sophisticated for a first time predator finding his predatory wings. and he escalated quickly.

Please quit playing TV reports/ interviews and police interrogations within podcasts. The audio is generally poor, and the information is repetitive and annoying to listen to. Direct narration and description of events are easier to understand and flow much nicer when listening. Thanks.

rapist and murderer does not want the death penalty and does not want the label of sex offender in prison. prosecution is all like "okay pal, whatever you want". it's not just this case that shows that the Courts are at the mercy of sociopaths. yet somehow there is justice in spite of this. and once again, a woman protects a monster that hurts and kills other women.

That 911 operator was very infuriating.

she and her brother murdered a completely innocent woman, who had nothing to do with the abuse they were subjected to before she came into their lives. What she is saying about trauma, and the statements that are all like "trauma makes kids violent", " only a traumatized kid could pick up a gun" etc., are irresponsible and dangerous, and - as if we need any more of this - it further stigmatized survivors of abuse and trauma.

Sabrina is no victim. She is no Billy Flynn. She is a psychopath. so is her foster father. terrible things happen when psychopaths collide. both their sentences are unjustly insufficient.

Sabrina has been a victim of many things. And she clearly was exploited and manipulated by her foster father. But no, she is not the victim in this case. She is a murderer and a conspirator to murder. this crime would not have been possible if she had not become jealous of her foster mother and wanted her dead. that said, she is less guilty of this than her foster father.

The writer of this episode needs to fact check. Phil Spector did not get off with murder. He was convicted!!

Rod Jr is the right one to point fingers - wasn't he a successful pathologist? And yet he wanted to sue his mother because he couldn't get his hands on his father's money fast enough. Hypocrite.
