I feel sad for what happened to her but she comes of as a very self centered individual. That makes me sad for her. The nurse saying what she said was just awful!

This story hits so close to home with me. I wish I could be a friend to her because I know how she feels. I miss my father so much and I wish I could have told him before he left this life.

I was sexually abused when I was 7. I never told my parents, I don't know exactly why but I didn't. This was hard for me, I cried. I hate the world so much becausethere's so manycreeps out there. I was 3 the first time I was abused and my parents tried to get the man charged but he was 16 and we just moved away. It's a sick world we live in. I still haven't worked through my trauma. I'm bi polar and have severe anxiety. I feel for her so much,, we were sweet innocent babies. I don't understand how someone could hurt a child 😭

After listening to 3 or 4 story's I can't get any more to play. It says there's an unknown error. What's up with that? Has anyone else had this problem?

Somebody came, this unidentified woman came and administered oxygen to me until I was stabilized and then disappeared and nobody got her name and nobody could find her but she was just this angelic woman that saved my life. Love this. 🖤📿🎓

The pastor was...he was mean. He would openly mock people who left the church. He taught a class at bible college and he would make fun of people. I didn't think that was the spirit of God.  1 Corinthians 5:1

...they speak in tongues they do victory laps they dance in the aisles. It's very chaotic and is a departure from what I was used...because I grew up fairly liberal. I was taken aback at first, I didn't know what to make of it. They were hard-core. I don't know how to...it is like a carnival.

A haunting essay about a predator in a mentors clothing. That feeling of waking up and feeling violated... #flyingbackwards

As a mental health professional who's worked in both community mental health and maximum security psychiatric hospitals; I can tell you this story aptly depicts both the dissociative state some find themselves in while taking SSRI's and milieu of prison life. I thought this story was well delivered and completely engrossing with lessons for life, resiliency and humility. The narrator doesn't shy away from his relative privileged life, I only wish he'd touched on the fact that when this happens to people of color or lesser socioeconomic position the outcome is much much worse. Thank you for sharing your story, it truly was one if my favorites!

The cop who did this is a sick predator and there are likely others who he's done this to. My heart absolutely breaks for her having to go through so much trauma and the paralyzing symptoms of Complex PTSD in addition to ASD. If you are a victim of sexual assault, especially assaults that involve people in occupations of authority, you might want to skip this one. I had a really hard time listening to this episode, but I genuinely appreciate her courage and strength to share her story.

One thing I really admire about this man is his humility. The responsibility he takes for all decisions made is extremely honarable. Especially due to the nature of the environment he grew up in. Too many people like to blame everyone, and everything else except taking responsibility for choices made. We make choices every day. We also pay the consequences for our choices. This man is most deserving of a second chance at life. He will no doubt be an asset to society.
