I think there's a problem.. why is this episode only 19 minutes long?
also: you NEVER DESERVE ANYTHING! NO ONE DOES. THINK ABOUT PUTTING OTHERS 1ST FOR A CHANGE. TRY THAT
when you let yourself be used as a crash dummy at 17, that's just plain stupid. when you found the dollar, you should have asked yourself or your friends, who said this guy had money to rob? and go take your rage out on THAT dude. that would have been the smart, stand up thing to do. youve been letting people run your show ever since. no wonder you could do jail,,12 step. mayne you'll get smart enough to figure who you are. bc you're not bad, just worthless. I feel sorry that you are so simple
this guy had a crazy imagination
Hard to really care about this dude.
Isn't it strange that hours after so many people and children being brutally murdered, that the teachers were calmly eating pizza?
This was hard to listen to 😠. While I myself benefit from God's grace, his sense of entitlement is nauseating. I can't speak to his salvation necessarily, but he has a perverse view of God and His mercy. He made the ppl in his life sound like enablers, and he was shameless to try and shift responsibility to the young boys he violated.
Very powerful story. BTW, what was your with the sound effects? All the other episodes I listened to had no sound effects. 8t as distracting.
It's great that you were able to gain perspective from the stories you have heard over the years. That's one thing I get from this show---the tragedies, the triumphs, the joy, the sorrow---the entirety of the human condition. I, too, know that indescribable feeling of epiphany that occurs after emerging from trauma and it is transformative to live the rest of your life with the knowledge of it. Keep this close to your heart---it is a gift.
seem like being white was convenient to her when she needed it
I'm listening from the beginning of a couple minutes in seems like that girl f***** her mother over and I bet she's divorced by now because she made a black man and all black men cheat
I hope those people have another ded bb
Nothing facilitates the progression of mental illness more than religion. It poisons everything it touches.
Hey, if it makes you happy and you're not hurting anyone else, have at it.
Remember---she was just a kid when all this happened. After all of the abuse she suffered and the familial instability it's no surprise that she got so f'd up. Trauma manifests itself in different ways in different people, let alone a kid who hardly has a clue about life. It doesn't excuse her actions, but it does help put things in context.
I’ve been an avid listener of ‘This Is Actually Happening’ for a while now, and it never ceases to amaze me. Each episode is a masterclass in storytelling and human experience. The way the host delves into the lives of ordinary people, revealing extraordinary moments and profound insights, is truly captivating. It’s both thought-provoking and deeply moving. Thank you for consistently delivering such powerful and compelling content! https://packaging-calgary.podigee.io/1-new-episode
when is the 82%over? I can't handle the winey people
Wow, this is my first time hearing of such a diagnosis/disorder 😲. I hope the narrator is doing better still.
At least he actually was held legally liable. I'm surprised bc usually they just shuffled priests around and hid them---especially back then in the 70s and 80s.
Her emotional honesty is inspiring. I've never suffered from her affliction, but to talk so openly about it comes from a place of strength and I'm sure this may be helpful to someone with the same problem.
