You can't complain about the deadly effects of the system while still defending the system. Patriarchy is bad for men and women. But if you want to hold to its validity then grab ahold of its consequences with welcoming arms. You've earned them. You can be happy and free or you can be unhealthy and imprisoned. But men... you are worth more than what you do. 😉

I am in a place that is greatly unsettling and I am not so sure that removing myself from the discomfort is the best course of action for my personal growth and strength. After all you are only as good as your competition.

Sometimes methods we use to deal with pain create different pain and before we know it we end up in a cycle of reacting to pain. That's what I have discovered this week and am in the process of allowing myself my humanity while seeking to find balance once again.
