My husband does a similar thing with the socks and other clothes, taking them off inside out right side out, just randomly throws them in the wash. I began folding the socks the way that they came off his feet and putting them back into the drawer. He didn't notice for over two years and the same goes for his undershirts. Now I just fold and put away everything just the way he took them off and after several years of doing that he has not said a word. I figure that if it's important to him, he can turn them right side out himself; so far it's working just fine.
