Description

Florida, 2007: A famous local weather man is found dead in his water bed. His brother calls 9-1-1 to report the murder. This sets off a shocking series of events involving cults, boy bands, horses, and mistaken identity. From CastBox and the comedy producers behind Stop Podcasting Yourself, CBC’s This Is That, and Dexter Guff comes a story so believable it can't be true.

This is an amazing podcast, fantastic story telling. you'd have to be a moron to think it's real. My favourite line by far is " Your honor, he's just trying to get her to say "truth", so he can respond with "you can't handle the truth!" ".

I Hate Podcasts!

I could handle this podcast until "The Weatherman Strangler" episode. I had listen to a 3rd of the episode, haven't gone back. It reminded me of a really really bad low budget movie. Sorry guys, you lost me on that one.

I can't believe ppl didn't know this was fake from the beginning and then abandon the podcast when they realize it. That's a shame because this podcast is hilarious. By far, my favorite. I've gone back and listened to every episode twice. Pure genius!

This series has all the elements of a superior radio play wrapped up in a beautifully crafted documentary format. The narrator has that crisp, earnest element to her voiceover which lends us to both trust her and empathize with her feelings - a necessary touchstone throughout this series of otherwise outlandish (and often amusing) events and characters. Excellent voice acting all around, notably the off-kilter twin brother whose manner with the narrator alternates between distracted childishness and a keen, unsettling familiarity. The stark contrast of his voice with recordings of his twin only adds to the creeping discomfort of the thought he may, in fact, be a murderer. 10/10 - Highly recommend.

Phenomenal. I love the spot on parody of true crime podcasts. I hope you cover other "crimes" in the future. Can't wait for the finale.
