Oh what a beautiful mornin! It's time for a Rusical! This week the queens get to star in a brand new Rusical as some of the UKs most influential pop stars on a Top of the Pops parody! Joe and David talk about whether they have faith in Kyran getting another win and if Actavia can spice up her life or not. Regardless, much like the character Marmalade plays, the bitches are back!
We are halfway through the season and finally at the snatch game! This week, the Queen’s have to start the episode by reading the house down boots yassss God… A.k.a. the reading challenge, followed by the snatch game! Is RuPaul being shady by having them do both of these in one Episode let us know in a five star rating in review on Apple podcasts. David and Joe truly have the best time discussing one of the best snach games in a minute.
It's a Halloween treat as we finally finish Global All Stars! Yaaay! No one is satisfied and everyone wants to go home! We talk fashion, we talk lewks, we talk Wicked (because we have a problem), we talk about THE BORE WORMS and make references that Joe doesn't get, and we finally put this season to bed. Here's hoping that if we get GAS again, it'll be with some Tums or something. Join the conversation now with This Toxic Fandom as they say goodbye to RuPaul's Global All Stars!
David is in London! Joe is in LA! and Pope... will be on the finale of GAS. This week the Queens have to pull out their best anecdotal stories because they're guests on the Graham Norton show! Well, the version that fits on the MainStage. Joe and David tell their own stories, talk about who they'd like to interview, as well as which queens bared their soul, and which queens were barely there. As Bowie says in the lip-sync song, Let's Dance!
While Joe's away, the gays will play as David and Steven discuss a lip-synch smackdown for a consolation prize! All the queens return (again?!) to perform for a $50,000 prize, and each girl has their own reason for fighting it out besides just kinda deserving a consolation prize for being on this season. Meanwhile, David and Steven discuss theatre etiquette (and their lack thereof), the Rocky Horror Picture Show, and how much stuff can fit into a butt. It's a weird one, folks, so tune in and join the fun as we get every closer to ending Global All Stars!
This week the queens get into two spooky girl groups and have to write their own verses and choreograph to the song "Dead or Alive". In a twist at the end, the girls are actually judged individually instead of as teams shaking up the competition. Which group embodies Scary Spice rather than Spoopy Spice? Was one team All Saints while the other was All Sinners? Joe and David are all Gouls Aloud with their opinions, listen and find out.
HOW HAVE WE HAD TEN WEEKS OF THIS!? The girls are asked to make commercials advertising their home country (or, y'know, where RuPaul THINKS their country of origin is) and then we have weird commercials for Star Trek and Canva! What a world! Meanwhile Steven is back from his break and we're gonna see how many times we can say the not-nice-word-for-gay because apparently it's a food! Hey, United Kingdom, quick question: What the fuck? Join us for a bit of spotted dick and a trip to the clinic in Australia in the latest episode of This Toxic Fandom!
We're just a podcast sitting in your up next queue asking you to listen to us. It's an acting challenge this week, and the queens are asked to dig deep into their diaries to see if acting actually is in their wheelhouse. They spoof some of the best British (and a few American) Romcoms and on the runway see if they can spin the judges right round with their New Romantics look. Yes, "romance" is in the air, but one of these queens is going to sashay away and find a brand new lover.
Steven continues to be MIA and now he’s missing the first good episode in a minute! Well that’s fine as David and Joe dive into the obligatory makeover challenge, this time with the remaining girls giving the eliminated queens new looks and new names for some reason! Nehelina finally gets her roses, but will that be enough to stop the reign of the Ru Girls? Find out in this all new This Toxic Fandom!
This week the queens have to work in teams to create a cohesive collection to present on the runway. Their materials? Things mama Ru has Marie Condoed from different rooms in her house! Did you know Rupaul has a disco room!? You do if you watched her AD video... Garments are made, queens are thrown under buses, and the Drag Race franchise proves once again that if it were an Olympian, it'd probably be Tonya Harding.
Much like Sabrina Carpenter, and how one of these podcasters takes their espresso, this episode is Short n Sweet. Do you have a lot to say about Global All Stars? That's what we thought. Find out who we thought was giving us a real buzz this episode, how we take our coffee, and why we're crying over spilled greek yogurt (they can't all be coffee jokes.)
Cheerio and welcome back to Drag Race UK!! In this season premiere we discuss the new queens, their talents, and figure out which queen truly shows us if life really is a Cabaret. Bliebe, reste, stay and listen to us talk about this brand new season! (Please note due to technical difficulties, this episode came out strangely in the audio quality department.)
In the latest episode of This Toxic Fandom, Steven cashes in his doctor's note to be excused from this season and leaves David and Joe to talk about RuPaul's Global All Stars Snatch Game of Love. The roughest challenge on a season that's aggressively rough? What could go wrong? What about cultural insensitivity and King Kong in the year of our lord 2024! Oh bother. Then the girls serve us dinner as the runway theme is - brace yourselves - food from your country! Makes me want a hot dog real bad. And to think, this is the first time Steven is sober in three episodes! David makes their triumphant return as they come in to celebrate everyone's second favorite kind of cock, cocktails! Okay, that joke might've been too blue, sorry. But the bois talk about cocktail dresses, the mysteries around the suitcases the queens brought, and more! Woe be upon us as we continue to crawl our ways out of the hot, sunny, blistering heat of Los Angeles and try to bring you entertainment from a boulder of unpleasantness known as RuPaul's GAS! I'm sorry, I meant Global All Stars. This week the girls are given hilarious (questionable) scripts that are parodies of classic films and also sequels to Barbie, but everyone gets Jimbo's breast plate because we learned nothing from Veronica Scone I suppose! Meanwhile, Joe and Steven try to keep the boat afloat and by Joe and Steven I mean Joe because Steven is WHAT? Inebriated.    Check us out on TikTok at https://www.tiktok.com/@thistoxicfandom and on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/thistoxicfandom/
The inmates are running the asylum as David takes a break (because he HAD A FREAKIN' WEDDING AND IS TIRED DAMMIT) so Steven and Joe are left to their own devices, but sadly after a computer malfunction they had to get together after some drinking and re-record this episode! Oh no, it's very silly!!! While the bois slur their way through the latest episode of RuPaul's Global All Stars, the girls are put into groups and told to make a girl group by writing original lyrics to the song Everybody Say Love. Are any of them good? Will Alyssa continue to be the unintentional villain of the season? Will Nihelenia get her moment?! Find out on this latest episode of This Toxic Fandom! Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go back to sleep and get rid of this hangover...   Support Kaos by checking out their GoFundMe here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-support-kaos-in-this-kaotic-time Check us out on TikTok at https://www.tiktok.com/@thistoxicfandom and on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/thistoxicfandom/
The top four of Canada Vs The World get their portraits done, recap this palette cleanser of a season, and dive into a Lip Sync for the Crown where it could be anyone's game! But it belongs to Lemon, let's not be silly, here. The bois meanwhile dive into how much fun this season was and how great it is when you have a cast with great chemistry and a narrative that makes any of our top four a viable heir to Rajah Davenport O'Hara's crown! Will the crown go back to Canada, or will it remain somewhere else in the commonwealth? Download now to find out! For some reason that can only be chalked up to poor planning and/or intentional villainy, they decide to do a ball in episode two with THIRTY SOMETHING LOOKS. Glad to know poorly planning international trips isn't just a me problem! The girls are given a James Bond-inspired challenge where they have to make super spies and their octopussy is on fire! Well, some of them. Some of them just wrap themselves in fabric and put on a good wig and call it a day. The bois talk about runways, international travel, and how much they stan Canada. Hey, the finale comes out Friday, so make sure you tune in for that! Check us out on TikTok at https://www.tiktok.com/@thistoxicfandom and on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/thistoxicfandom/
Leave it to the Canadians to look at two of the hardest challenges that queens do every season and go "Hey, what if we combined the two?" While we experience some technical difficulties, the bois go into what makes a good and a bad choice, what is so damn funny about saying Cheryl like she bit your finger in an aughts viral video, and why Joe is wrong about How Far I Go not being a good lipsynch song YES JOE I CONTINUE TO CALL YOU OUT HERE IN THE COPY! Want context for this nonsense? Give it a listen now! Check us out on TikTok at https://www.tiktok.com/@thistoxicfandom and on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/thistoxicfandom/
What a title, huh folks? While we try to figure out how to make our new profile picture look good (turns out two unathletic Jews and a gym bunny lead to some interesting olympic-themed photographs) let's meet our very first GLOBAL ALL STARS! From all around the world, from the Philipines to Belgium to America, drag queens have congregated under the banner of Drag Race for a chance at glory and now some of the best of the best (and honestly it's a pretty damn stacked cast) have come together to battle it out for the first inductee into the Drag Race Hall of Fame International Pavilion! How EPCOT of them. The bois sit down and go through both parts of this two-part premiere and it is a HOOT, so give it a download now and let's see what these queens from around the world can do!
