There are 365 days in a normal year and 366 in a leap year. So the correct approximation of a year is 365.25 days not 364.25. 52 weeks is also an approximation - but not as accurate. References can be found that provide a more accurate definition of 365.2425 days in an Earthy year based on observations over 400 years.
