I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Saturday morning, the 8th of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go straight to the Book of Exodus 32:1: “Now when the people saw that Moses delayed coming down from the mountain, the people gathered together to Aaron, and said to him, “Come, make us gods that shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.”Oh, I want to tell you my dear friend, when I read that scripture this morning, my heart broke. What short memories do we have? Here is a man, Moses, being directed by God to take the people of Israel, out of slavery, out of Egypt, to take them to the sea, and the Red Sea opened. They passed through the sea, then the Red Sea closed on top of the most powerful army on earth at the time, and drowned them all. Then he turned water that was so brackish that they couldn’t drink it into sweet drinking water. They tell me it is still there today. He took them through the most savage of all deserts, where it is over 50 degrees. Then they had no food to eat. He fed them manna from Heaven, every single morning, and partridges (quail). He looked after them, and just because he was a bit late in coming down the mountain with the Ten Commandments, they forgot all about Him.Maybe today you are feeling like that. You are feeling “Angus, I have taken care of my family. I grew them up, I paid for their schooling, I paid for their university, I paid for their wedding and now they don’t even phone me.” Or maybe a young person is saying, “My mom, my dad, they don’t want anything to do with me. They said, ‘You are on your own now,’ but I have loved them and been faithful to them all these years.I want to encourage you today to look up and speak to your Heavenly Father. He understands the hurt that you are experiencing right now because it hurt Him as well when His beloved people turned their backs on Him because His servant, Moses, was a couple of days late, and they went straight ahead and made an idol out of gold. How could they do it? How could your son, your daughter, just walk away? How could your mom and dad disown you?Turn to the Father today and speak to Him. He understands. He will listen to you, He will dry away those tears. Have no animosity, no unforgiveness, and move on.Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day,Goodbye.
I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Friday morning, the 7th of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for the day. We go to the Book of Deuteronomy 9:19-20:“But the Lord listened to me at that time also. And the Lord was very angry with Aaron and would have destroyed him; so I prayed for Aaron also at the same time.“ The Lord changed His mind! The Creator of Heaven and Earth and everything in it, listened to His creation and changed His mind! Remember what happened? Moses was up the mountain on Mt Sinai getting the Ten Commandments from the Lord and the Lord said to him, “What’s that noise I hear down there?” And of course what had happened was the children of Israel were impatient. They had been waiting for their leader, Moses, for 40 days and 40 nights and he hadn’t come down, and they thought maybe he had died, so they said to Aaron, “Let us make an idol out of gold, a golden calf.” Now, that angered the Lord so much. Can you imagine? God was so angry, probably so disappointed as well that He was going to wipe off the face of the earth, the children of Israel and you and I would not have been here today if that had happened, but one man, Moses, said, “Lord, You can’t do that because the Egyptians and all the other nations of the world will mock You.” The Bible tells us very clearly that the Lord relented. What does “relent” mean? It means finally agreeing to something after first refusing it. He said, “I am going to blot them off the face of the earth.” Moses said, “You can’t do that Lord,” and the Bible says that God relented. What an incredible God we serve that He would even listen to His creation! When I was farming, I would often stop and have a chat to my tractor driver or my stockman and ask him questions, and we’d have a chat, and he felt that he could talk to me because I was definitely not superior to him, although some farmers maybe won’t listen to their workers. He would explain to me something that he had learnt on another farm - a better way of maybe looking after the cattle, a better way of building fences - and I tell you what, it cost nothing and I would be going in this direction and after talking to this worker, I would change my mind and say, “You know something, your idea is much better and I’m going to do it.” And it worked and it also paid off.Today, don’t be proud. Be prepared to listen and change your mind if you have to. Jesus bless you and have a lovely day,Goodbye.
I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Thursday morning, the 6th of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go to 1 John 4:16: “And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love (please remember that - God is love), and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.”God is love. People need love desperately, all people, in every walk of life! I am doing this programme particularly today to say thank you to every single person who has been praying for the event that we had in the Cape Flats in Cape Town, South Africa. I would like to thank you all over the world. We love you very, very much. Words cannot express how we appreciated your prayer cover when we went down to that very dangerous place, where very few people want to go, and we saw and experienced something that I have never experienced before in over 40 years of preaching the Gospel. I experienced the love of God like never before! When we arrived in the Athlone Stadium, the first thing I asked for was to meet the intercessors, because as an evangelist I know that if there is no prayer there is no power. They took me into a room that was full of approximately 50 women who were interceding. They weren’t just interceding, they were travailing. Now if you don’t know what that word means - a woman who is having a child, in labour, she is travailing, and that is what they were doing - travailing for their people, for their families, their children, their husbands. I was so touched, I was overwhelmed, and I prayed for them and they prayed for me, and they loved me and they hugged me and kissed me, then they took me out to the stadium. There was such desperation from the men. We were talking to men, it was a Mighty Men event, but I want to tell you, they were hanging on every word. These men are hungry for the love of God. Before I left home, my wife Jill said to me, “Just tell them, Angus, that God loves them.” And that’s all these men wanted to know. Young boys, 12, 13 years old, to older men, they were there in the thousands, and we thank God.The Lord laid on my heart to commission them, like you commission someone into the army, and we called them into the front, we prayed the prayer of repentance, and then we prayed over them andcommissioned them. I said, “The Government can’t help you,” I said, “the army can’t help you,” I said, “the police can’t help you. The only people that can help you are yourselves and the power of the Holy Spirit.”As we left, a young man ran up to me. I said, “Bring him.” I said, ‘What can I do for you, young man?” He said, “I just want a hug from you. I lost my dad, he died, I lost my grandfather a few days ago. You remind me of my grandfather.” And with that he said, “I just want a hug.” That’s all he wanted. I took him in my arms, we hugged each other, he wept, I wept and God did the rest.I am believing for revival in the Cape Flats. Thank you for your love and your prayers.Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day,Goodbye.
I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Wednesday morning, the 5th of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go to the Gospel of John 17:17:”Sanctify them by Your truth. Your Word is truth.” Then we go straight to John 4:42:”Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.”Remember what happened? After Jesus had told the woman at the well her whole life story, she knew that He was a prophet indeed, and she ran into the village and told them, ”I’ve found the Master. I found the Messiah.” She told them that He has just told her her whole life story and she’s never seen Him before. Isn’t that amazing? Then the whole village was saved and they came out to meet Jesus at the well, and that is when they said, ”We don’t believe that He is the Christ because of your story. No, we believe He is the Christ, not because of your words but because we have heard it for ourselves.”I want to tell you today, and I’m saying this with the greatest love, that the Lord Jesus Christ is the ultimate authority. Now, He is the Word. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God. (John 1:1) People are not interested in our opinions, they want to know what Jesus says about the matter. That’s why when you go to a high court and you have to give evidence, they make you put your hand on the Bible and they ask you to swear that you’ll tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help you God. Why? Because God’s Word is final. It is the ultimate answer.I want to speak to families who are experiencing disputes within their family. You want to know about inheritance; you want to know who’s going to get the business; who is going to get the farm when dad dies, or maybe dad has died, or what’s going to happen with the children when they leave school? You need to go to the Bible. You need to go to the Word and see what the Lord Jesus says about the situation. You say, ”No, but times have changed now.” No, they haven’t. Nothing has changed. Go to the Word, hear what God says and apply it to your family, to your situation, your workplace, wherever it might be, and you’ll be surprised how things will be agreed to, not because of what you said, not because of what I said, but because of what the Word says. Jesus bless you and have a lovely day,Goodbye.
I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Tuesday morning, the 4th of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go to the Gospel of John 4:34: “Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.”We want to speak about food. What is your favourite food? Well, being a cattle farmer, my favourite food has got to be steak! I know that I have one young man who is very dear to me, and his favourite food is vegetables because he is a vegan. So we have got a lot of things to talk about. He respects what I love and I respect what he loves. But you know, we are not talking about that kind of food, are we? No. We are talking about doing the will of the Father. That is what fills us up more than any physical food. I love to carry a pocketful of sweets. That’s right. I can hear mothers say, “That is not good for the children.” Well, mom, a little sweet is not going to hurt them, and when I go to church these little children come and stand around me and I know why they are there, because they know I have a sweetie for them. Visitors must think, “Aah, look at the way the children flock to Uncle Angus - oh, it must be because he is a holy man.” No, it’s because children love sweets! But folks, I want to tell you now, it’s so important to do the thing that God has told you to do. Jesus said, “My food is to do the will of Him (His Heavenly Father who sent Him)…” And not only that, but to finish the job.I don’t know about you, but when I have had the chance to speak to somebody who is struggling, someone who just needs prayer, or a young person who needs godly counsel, that is the food that sustains me. After I have been to a meeting where I have been able to pray for someone in hospital, where I have been able to preach the Gospel to a crowd of people and see the response, that fills me more than any physical food. Today, go out and do the will of Jesus Christ and love people, and I want to tell you, you will be filled to the brim, pressed down, shaken together and running over.Jesus bless you today, as you eat the food that the Father is going to give you.God bless you and goodbye.
I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Monday morning, the 3rd of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. If you listen very carefully, you can hear the rain on my tin roof. Oh, it’s like music from heaven, I tell you what! We start in the Book of Leviticus 11:44: ”…and you shall be holy; for I am holy.”That’s the Lord speaking. We go to 1 Peter 1:16: ”because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.” You and I serve a holy God. Holiness is so important in our lifestyle, the way in which we love our Lord and Saviour, and people can see it from far. Oh, I want to tell you, they are watching you and they are watching me. The way in which we behave towards our beloved Jesus. If we love Him, we must respect Him, we must honour Him and we must give Him first place in our lives always. Do you know that the scribes in the Bible would change their clothes and wash their bodies before they even wrote the name of Jehovah on a parchment? Isn’t that amazing? When an Orthodox Jew writes me a letter and he signs the letter at the bottom and says, “God bless you”, he spells God, G-D, He will not even write the name of God.I don’t know about you, but there’s nothing more pleasing to the eye than to see the way in which a young man or a young woman respects their elders. I love it. I love to see a young man walk an old lady across the road when she’s waiting for the traffic lights to change. I love to see the way in which a young man will take an old man’s rucksack and put it on his back and carry it for him with out even being asked, but I also want to say to you, there’s nothing more hurtful for me and I’m sure for you, than to see young people pushing old people aside so they can be first in the queue. It’s very disrespectful. When you go to the house of the Lord, remember you are going to honour God and one day you are going to see Him, face to face. It is going to be a glorious day. I know what’s going to happen. He will run to you and love and hug you, but never forget that He is a holy God who deserves our love and utmost respect at all times.God bless you and have a wonderful day, Goodbye.
I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Sunday morning, the 2nd of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go straight to the Gospel of John 3:35: ”The Father loves the Son and has given and entrusted all things into His hand.” Our Heavenly Father gave Jesus all authority and all responsibility, and Jesus fulfilled and completed the responsibility right to the last letter. He died on the cross for your sins, for my sins. He set us free. He put the devil down once and for all, and then He went back to Heaven to be with His Father. But before He went back, He told His disciples that He will not leave us as orphans. Homeless, with no leaders. He said, ”I am sending you My Holy Spirit.” In Greek the name is, Parakletos, which means “the Helper”. “I am sending you the Helper so that you can complete the entrusting that God has given to me.” That’s what Jesus said. Now in the amplified version, reading that today, in both scriptures, we go to John 16:7: But I tell you the truth, (Jesus said) it is to your advantage (our advantage) that I go away (that I go home, that I go back to My Father in Heaven); for if I do not go away, the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him (the Holy Spirit) to you [to be in close fellowship with you]. I want to speak today, not only to men but to women, to young people, to leaders. The Lord never expected us to do it on our own. Our Father in Heaven sent His Son down to earth because He saw that we were failing terribly. The Son did the work. He’s gone back to the Father but He’s left us with His Holy Spirit. He says, ”Now you” (That’s you and me, sir, you and me, young lady) “complete the job.” You know, it’s a handing over, it’s a responsibility. In these Olympic relay races, the most important part of the race is handing the baton over. If you drop the baton, you are disqualified, and there’s only a certain place that you can hand it over. There are two lines. You’ve got a few yards. You’re running at a full sprint. You need to be in unison with the person that you’re giving the baton to. Today, you and I need to understand that our Heavenly Father has given us the authority, he has given us the ability. Now we need to do it, we need to do it fast and we need to do it safely. Let’s finish the job. Jesus bless you and goodbye.
I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Saturday morning, the 1st of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in 1 Samuel 17:45”Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you.” What a powerful scripture! Then we go straight to 2 Corinthians 10:4-5: “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,” What an incredible scripture!Today, we are on our way to war. Yes, we are. We are going down to Cape Town, the southernmost city in our beloved country of South Africa. A most beautiful place, but there is a war going on in the Cape Flats as I speak to you. We are going to assist. We are going to support. We are going into the fight, and we are going to take satan’s head off, just like David took the head of Goliath off, and we are not going with firearms. No, we are going with the word of God. Even as the young boy David said to the giant, ”You come against me with spears and swords. I come against you with the name of the Lord God of Israel.” It is going to be a most wonderful day of victory. I cannot wait. In fact, the victory is already there. We are just going to join up with God’s men in the Athlone Stadium in the Cape Flats. Please, gentlemen, if you are not planning to come, come along, because you will see something you will never, ever forget as long as you live, and one day you will sit with your grandchild on your lap and that child will ask you, ”Were you there, grandad?” I hope you will be able to say, ”Yes indeed, I was there, the day that the Lord Jesus Christ came down in fire and authority and defeated the devil once and for all!”Please pray for us. God bless you and goodbye.
I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Friday morning, the 31st of October, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go to the Gospel of John 4:35:”Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!”Do not be unprepared for the greatest harvest the world has ever seen. The signs are all there. The question is, are you ready to bring it in? Are you prepared? Is your harvesting equipment in order? In this day and age, the scythe that they used in the old days to cut down the wheat and the corn is not sufficient. The harvest is too great and the time is too short. It is time for that huge four-row, six-row mechanical harvester that can harvest literally hundreds of acres in a day. Remember, we need to be ready.I remember as a young farmer, once passing a farm where a man had a beautiful crop of maize. Golden unto harvest. It was magnificent, but every day that I rode past that farm, nothing was happening and then I saw in the corner of the farm, he was planting a crop of cabbages but the time was running out. He could not see it, and the tragedy was that in the end, when he did start to harvest this beautiful crop of maize, it was too late. It was springtime and the rain began to come and blew the crop over and the crop rotted in the ground.Today is the day of salvation, not tomorrow. Tell that loved one today, they must be ready for the coming of the Lord. Tell those people who are sitting on the fence, you need to make up your mind. Are you going to be part of what God has prepared for us or are you not? Because you cannot be indecisive. We really need to get our act together. Get that harvester into the field. Get the crop in while there is still time left.Jesus bless you and have a wonderful harvesting day today,Goodbye.
I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Thursday morning, the 30th of October, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. Matthew 17:21. Jesus says:”However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”Now remember the story, the disciples could not cure the young man who was demonised. They failed. Jesus came in, prayed over him, cast out the demon immediately. They came to the Lord, they said. ”Lord, how come we could not do that?” And He said, ”This kind only comes out except by prayer and fasting.” He said, ”If you’ve got faith the size of a mustard seed, you can tell that mountain to move from here to there, and nothing will be impossible.”We need to fast today. I have asked very humbly that you will join me. In a couple of days time we are going to the Cape Flats in Cape Town, South Africa and we are believing for a full stadium of young men. It is a Mighty Men Conference and we are going to trust God for a complete encounter with the Holy Spirit, and we want to purify ourselves, even today. Now you might ask, well, I can’t fast because medically the doctors have said I’ve got to keep eating. That’s fine, it’s no problem. Maybe you can spend a little less time watching television and read your Bible and pray a little more. Maybe today, you can go without something that is very special to you. Maybe you like eating chocolate, what about giving it a break? You say, ”Come on. Angus, fasting is a bit more important than that.” No, it’s not. It’s a time when we will remember the Lord. Maybe you need to just drink water today and nothing else. Maybe you need to have an extra quiet time in the middle of the day and pray for the situation that we are going to face on Saturday. Young people are getting murdered daily. Young children are getting caught up in the cross fire. Old people are getting murdered in their homes through the gang wars. It’s got to stop, and we are asking you to please fast and pray with us so that the Lord can completely take over in that stadium.Never before in my life have I been so excited about what God is going to do on the 1st of November at two o’clock in the afternoon in the Cape Flats in South Africa, when we face up to this terrible slaughter that is taking place, and in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, we will cast it out. Please fast today with us.God bless you and have a special day today.Goodbye.
I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Wednesday morning, the 29th of October, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Book of Exodus 25:40, and this is what the Lord says to Moses: ”And see to it that you make them according to the pattern which was shown you on the mountain.” The building of the tabernacle - keep it to the pattern. Then we go straight to the Gospel of John 14:15. Jesus says:“If you love Me, keep My commandments.”Don’t tell people you love them, then do the opposite. “You shall know them by their fruit,” Jesus says. An apple tree produces apples, and an orange tree produces oranges. We really need to keep to the pattern. You know what a blueprint is, young man? A blueprint is something that you have been given by a builder, and then he says, ”Build it according to the blueprint. Do not change anything because it is proven, this building will stand if you build it according to the blueprint.” Smith Wigglesworth said, ”Jesus said it, I believe it and that settles it.” No arguments! What does the word say, that is your pattern for this life. That is your blueprint. You know the wisest man that ever lived, according to the word of God, was Solomon, and if you look at Ecclesiastes 1:9, He said, ’ ... And there is nothing new under the sun.” It has all happened before, it will all happen again, but we’ve got some whizz-kids thinking they are inventing something new. Nothing new under the sun. I sound like an old man, don’t I? Well, I’m getting old, and I want to tell that young lady, I wish that I knew when I was your age what I know now, and I wouldn’t have made so many mistakes and I wouldn’t have hurt so many people. The Lord told a farmer named Noah to build an ark. He said build it according to the blueprint, and he did, and the ark never sank, did it? There is nothing new. Running your home - run it according to the principles of God. Discipline in your house, love your wife, submit to your husband, respect your parents, discipline your children. These are according to the blueprint. What about business? “Aah, my people don’t want to work for me.” Maybe because you don’t pay them correctly. What about having a quiet time every morning? You say, ”Uncle Angus, you’re always telling us that.” Of course, I am, because that’s where you’ll get your instructions for the blueprint that you are going to implement on that day. Practise what you have been taught.Jesus bless you and goodbye.
I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Tuesday morning, the 28th of October, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Book of John. Now, the most famous verse in the whole Bible has got to be John 3:16. Ask your little girl, your little boy as you are driving them to school and they will quote it for you and they will: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” But don’t we often just stop there? What about verse 17? Now, this morning, the Lord Jesus impressed upon me to share with you the importance of the next verse, verse 17:“For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” Oh, what a beautiful scripture! The Lord does not condemn you today, Sir. The Lord came to forgive you of all your sins so that you can live a life that is abundant. If we go to Romans 8:1, I will confirm that: “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus,...” If you love the Lord Jesus with all your heart today, He says, “I do not condemn you”, He says, “I came to set you free.” When the Father forgives, He forgets. Isn’t that beautiful? When you forgive somebody for something they have done and you have a bit of an off day, what do you do? Oh yes, you do! I do as well, ”Remember that thing that you did the other day?” No, when the Lord forgives, He forgets.“Lord, remember that sin I committed before I became a Christian?”“No, I don’t remember it at all, and I don’t want to hear about it.”What do we need to do this morning? We need to repent. Say sorry for the thing we have done and then move on with our life. Now this is important that I am going to share with you. It is the devil, satan, who condemns you, but Jesus convicts you. There is a big difference. He says, “Listen, get your life right. Stop that nonsense, stop having that affair because it is going to catch you out and destroy your marriage, stop that drinking because it is going to kill you.” I want to say to you as we close, I remember a long time ago hearing a story about a little lake, and there is a big signboard which says, “No fishing here!” Now, you take that sin, that thing that is condemning you, throw it into that lake and put that sign up, “No fishing,” and move on with your life for Jesus. He loves you. That’s why He died for you.Have a wonderful day,God bless you and goodbye.
I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Monday morning, 27th October 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Book of Exodus 25:8:”And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. According to all that I show you, that is, the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, just so you shall make it.” Then we go to the Gospel of Mark 1:35:”Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a “solitary place; and there He prayed.” Do you have a solitary place where you meet with God every morning? It is very important, especially in this hectic lifestyle that we are living in at present. I want to tell you about a place called a poustinia. It is a Russian word for a quiet time place. It literally means a desert place. Yes, a physical one but also a spiritual one. Do you have a place where you can come aside on your own, where the family doesn’t come and distract you, or anybody, and spend undivided time with the Lord every day? A poustinia is a quiet place to contemplate, to think about, a place to encounter God. It’s a place where you remove all distractions. It’s a place for solitude and prayer. It’s not a thing, it is a practice. Now, I want to tell you about my poustinia. When I travel, it is very busy. Sometimes I have to change planes, I have to wait in the departure lounge, maybe sometimes for an hour, two hours before I go to the next appointment to preach, and it is very busy. Then I close my eyes and go into my spiritual quiet time place, my poustinia, and I will describe it to you: There’s a place up in Zambia where they buried the heart of Dr David Livingstone after he died, and I went and spent time there. Now you walk down this little path and on the left hand side you’ll find a big log. I sit there quietly. I hear the birds singing. There’s a gentle breeze blowing the reeds and I pray and I spend time with God and refresh myself. Then I hear on the overhead speakers, ”Flight number 256, flying to Nashville, Tennessee, is now boarding through Gate number 25.” I get up, take my bags and I move on. I am refreshed. I have spent time with Jesus. You need to do the same today.God bless you and goodbye.
I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Sunday morning, the 26th of October, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Gospel of John 3:7. This is Jesus talking: ”Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.”Then we go to 2 Corinthians 5:17:”Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” We must make a new start. We must be born again. That is not a charismatic or a Pentecostal statement, that is a Jesus statement. Every single man, woman and child must be reborn. You see, you telling me that, ”Ah, I come from a Christian family and I was born into a Christian family, and my mother and my father were Christians, and my grandfather and grandmother were Christians. I want to tell you something very carefully, the Lord has no grandchildren in heaven. Do you know what that means? It means that every one of us, me included, especially me, we need to make a clean start. We need to start all over again. Each one of us has to make a personal commitment to Jesus. That’s what Jesus told Nicodemus. Nicodemus said, ”How can a grown man go back into his mother’s womb for a second time?” Jesus said, ”You don’t know where the wind comes from and you don’t know where it goes but you can feel it. You can feel it on your face.”I want to say to you today, please consider what the Lord is saying. It is so very important. We are living in the last days. Look around you, see what is happening. We need to make a complete change in our lives. Let’s do it today. I want to pray a prayer with you. There’s somebody that’s listening to this message who has been struggling with this issue for many years. Please let that pride fall away and say, ”Lord today, I want to tell you, I cannot carry on on my own, I can’t make it. This depression is killing me. The stress. The responsibility with the family.” I know, I was there. Now let us pray this prayer together. I’m going to pray it real slow so that you can grasp it and it’s going to be very simple. Pray after me:Dear Lord Jesus,I know that I am a sinner, and I need you to save me. You have told me this morning, very clearly, through Your word that I need to be born again. I repent of all my sins and I ask You alone to be my Lord and my Saviour. I will serve no other gods but You. Thank You for dying for me, a sinner, on the cross of Calvary. In Jesus' name, amen. Now go out and tell the first three people you meet what you’ve done, ”I have become a born-again Christian.” Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day,Goodbye.
I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Saturday morning, the 25th of October, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. ”...Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”Nehemiah 8:10I want to sing a hymn with you today. Do you remember Fanny Crosby? Remember, she was stone blind, but she wrote some of the most beautiful hymns that have ever been written. Do you know that beautiful one “Do not pass me by, oh gentle Saviour”?Let’s sing it together:Pass me not, O gentle Saviour,Hear my humble cry; While on others Thou art calling,Do not pass me by.Saviour, Saviour,Hear my humble cry,While on others Thou art calling,Do not pass me by.Doesn’t that make you feel good? Absolutely! Now the other day, I was walking through the field and a young girl, I didn’t even see her, she was listening to me, I was whistling. I say with great sadness in my heart, how many people do you hear that whistle these days? I hardly hear anyone, but I love whistling, and I’m going to try and whistle this one for you today.Go out today and whistle and you’ll feel so much better and Jesus will be so close to you.God bless you and goodbye.
I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Friday morning, the 24th of October, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for the day. We start in the Gospel of John 15:7. Jesus says:”If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” Then we go to the Gospel of Matthew 11:28-29. Jesus says:”Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”I really want to share my heart with you this morning, the Lord has been so very, very close to me. I’ve been listening to a broadcast by Andrew Murray, the South African preacher, whose books are still very well read, all over the world. The one I’ve been listening to is, “Abide in Christ.” Stay in the Lord, that’s what he wrote, and then just a few days ago I sent you that thought for today, “Practise the presence of God.” “Practise the presence of God” by brother Lawrence, the French monk who lived 300 years ago. People flocked around him all the time. All he was, was the cook in that monastery. He wasn’t the abbot or holding a senior position and he used to mend sandals, remember I told you. In fact, he himself never wore any shoes but the people flocked around him. Why? Because Jesus was in him! You see, he said that Jesus was with him wherever he went, and I want to encourage you today. That’s exactly what Andrew Murray’s talking about. He says, if you abide in Christ and He abides in you, then you are with God all the time. Whether you are a shoe maker; a cook in the kitchen; whether you are a CEO of a large company; whether you are an airline pilot, whether you are a policeman; a school teacher; a farmer; a miner, Jesus can be with you all the time if you allow Him to.Remember Colossians 1:27: ”…Christ in you, the hope of glory.” It’s not about going to church on Sunday. Yes, I go to church every Sunday. It’s not about going to a midweek Bible study, I go to two prayer meetings every week, but that’s not where I find Jesus. I find Jesus every moment of every day in my life, from the time I open my eyes to the time I go to sleep, and what these mighty men of God are talking about is that we can live with the Lord even when we are here on earth. We don’t have to wait until we get to heaven to experience the presence of God!Today, open your heart, listen to the word of God and talk to Him because He wants to listen to you. Jesus bless you and goodbye.
I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Thursday morning, the 23rd of October, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go to the Book of Exodus 23:10-11: ”Six years you shall sow your land and gather in its produce, but the seventh year you shall let it rest and lie fallow,…” What does the word fallow mean? It means to do nothing with it. It means to leave your land and let it rest. It means to let the weeds grow. It means to let the earthworms do their work. It means to allow the ground to build up compost from the residue of the previous season. For six years we work the land, I’m talking as a farmer now, in the seventh year we must grow no crops whatsoever. As a young farmer, I really struggled with this scripture from the Lord because I have a rather small farm, and it’s an arable farm so we plant up the whole farm every year to grain crops. But becoming a Christian, I wanted to do the right thing, so I came up against this scripture, six years you plant, seventh year you rest, and so I said to the Lord, ”I can’t rest the whole farm for one year. I’ll go bankrupt.” And then I felt the Lord say to me, in my heart, ”Why don’t you rest one seventh of the arable land, and after seven years, the whole farm would have rested once.” I thought that was brilliant, so that’s what I did. I would leave one seventh of the land without touching it. No ploughing, nothing whatsoever. I’ll never forget, one day, a young agronomist came to see me on the farm. He was a very clever young man, and he was driving around my maize fields, I was growing seed maize at that time and he said, ”Your crop looks fantastic.” Then I took him past the one field that I was resting in and he said to me, ”What is going on over there?” because the weeds were about six feet tall and the grass was growing. It looked terrible and I went and parked our pickup right next to that field and I said to him, ”Do you really want to know?” He said, ”Yes, please, I do.” He was not a Christian by the way, and I said, ”The Bible tells me I must rest the land and that’s what I’m doing.” You know that he was so intrigued, we carried on talking and I ended up praying the sinner’s prayer with that young man and I’m trusting that maybe he’s even listening to this message at the moment. His name is Sean. Folks, I’m talking maybe over forty years ago.I want to tell you, we also need to rest. The Lord says rest the land. Rest the animals, and we need to rest so that we can be strengthened. This modern idea of just go for it seven days week, it can’t be sustained. Something will break down. Please, today, listen to God’s word and rest on the Sabbath. Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day, Goodbye
I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Wednesday morning, the 22nd of October, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Gospel of John 2:11: “This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.” Jesus turned the water into wine at the marriage feast in Cana, the first miracle. My dear friend, I want to say something to you. One genuine miracle equals a thousand sermons. I really believe it with all of my heart. Jesus was known by the miracles He performed, not one, but many. But the sad thing was, He performed very few miracles in His home town, Nazareth, because of the unbelief of the people. Jesus could perform very few. I want to tell you, it wasn’t His sermons that convicted the people, it was the signs and wonders and miracles. Apart from the sermon on the mount, I don’t know of too many other sermons that Jesus preached, but miracles, one after another, and I want to tell you that faith begets faith. Faith is contagious. When you see a miracle, it changes the whole situation. I remember many years ago, preaching right up in the northern part of Mozambique, a place called Montepuez. It was a huge meeting. The soccer field was full of people, but nothing was happening. No one was responding. I looked up and I saw there was a line of muslims right along the back of the soccer field. I could see them by the white caps they were wearing, and there was nothing happening. The Holy Spirit spoke to me almost audibly. He said, “Stop preaching. They are not listening. There is a man in the front row, (I looked down. I saw him. His leg was sticking out straight) “go and pray for him.” I went down off the platform. I did not know who he was but everybody else did know who he was. He was a woodcutter. That was what his trade was, and what had happened was, a tree had fallen on top of him and crushed his leg, and they had put a steel pin through his leg. I walked up to him, laid my hands upon him, prayed the prayer of faith, “In the name of Jesus Christ, the Miracle-worker”, asked him to stand up, we took the crutches away and he was totally healed. He was running back and forwards in front of the platform and the people went wild. I didn’t have to make an altar call that day. They wanted to give their lives to Jesus before I had finished speaking, and the funny thing was too, amazingly, after the service, the muslim people came behind the big Seed Sower which I was preaching off, and they brought their sick children and their sick people for prayer. We prayed for the muslims for a long time after that service. One genuine miracle equals a thousand sermons!Jesus bless you and goodbye!
I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Tuesday morning, the 21st of October, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Gospel of John 1:41-42: “We have found the Messiah” (which is translated, the Christ). And he brought him to Jesus.” Who brought Peter to Jesus? It was Andrew. He introduced Peter to Jesus, and Peter, of course, eventually was the one who headed up the church when Jesus went back to heaven to be with His Father, but how many people remember Andrew being the one who introduced his brother, Peter, to Jesus? Somebody sent me a little clip some time back, and it was a beautiful story, and I want to share it with you. Two young men, 16 years old, heard there was an evangelist who had come to their local town, and these two young men decided to go and have a look. It was a tent meeting, as they arrived, they were looking for a seat, and they couldn’t find one, so they both walked out the back of the tent and thought, ”Oh well, we’ll just leave it.” Then an usher, yes, an Andrew, (and his name wasn’t Andrew, nobody knows his name. Only Jesus knows his name, and you and I will meet him maybe one day when we get to Heaven), he ran after them. He said, ”Boys, where are you going?” “Sir, the tent is full, so we decided we’ll just go along.” ”No, come with me.” He took them into the tent and brought them up to the front, found two chairs for those two young men and the rest is history. Who were they? Well, the one young man, his name was Billy Graham. I’m an evangelist myself and he’s one of my heroes. He’s a man who’s been used by God, to introduce more people to Jesus than anybody else, ever. Today, don’t despise becoming an introducer. People need to be introduced to the Lord and He, the Lord Jesus Christ, through the power of His Holy Spirit, will do the rest. Today, become an introducer. Maybe start in your own family.Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day,Goodbye.
I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Monday morning, the 20th of October, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go straight to the Book of Exodus 20:15:“You shall not steal.” Then we go to the Gospel of Luke 19:8-9:”Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold. And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house…”We may not take something that does not belong to us. Zacchaeus was convicted when Jesus came to his home to have a meal with him, convicted by the presence of the Lord that he was a thief. He had been stealing money from his own people, charging them exorbitant tax fees and putting the money in his own pocket. He was convicted and said, ”Lord, I will repay anything that I have stolen from anybody else 400%.” Folks, that is beautiful, that is conviction, and I want to tell you that Zacchaeus slept very well from that night onwards. What about you? Are you sleeping well at the moment? You say, ”But Angus, but I haven’t stolen anything from anyone.” Are you sure? The Holy Spirit’s been talking to me this morning. If you are not paying your income tax, that’s theft. You say, ”But I don’t believe what the government stands for.” That’s got nothing to do with it, my friend. The Lord says be no man’s debtor. Pay your debt. What about time from your boss? Are you stealing time from your boss? Are you doing other things in his time that you shouldn’t be doing? You are stealing his time. What about paying your debt?I want to tell you a sad story. I remember a young man, many, many years ago. He was starting on his own as a mechanic. He would come to our farm and repair tractors or implements that I couldn’t repair myself. Eventually, one day, he never came back. I made enquiries, ”Where is this young man?” And they said, ”He’s gone bankrupt.” I said, ”Why?“ He said, “because the people would not pay their accounts and he couldn’t carry on.” So sad, and then lastly, what about the time you are stealing from the Lord? Oh, my dear friend, you need to have a quiet time with the Lord every single morning. You say, ”I can’t Angus, I’m too busy.” You can never be too busy to have a quiet time with Jesus. You owe it to Him. Give Him the first most precious moments of the day and you will be surprised how He will reward you.God bless you and have a lovely day, Goodbye.
