When Belle Lockerby was 19, she lost her mother to suicide.  Soon afterwards, she lost both her father and sister to cancer.   Belle now works as a transformation coach, and is a best selling author.  Her book, "Awkward is the New Brave - Wipeouts happen, get back up anyway" aims to help women reclaim their confidence. Michelle Anhang dealt with the stigma after her husband took his own life 15 years ago.  Honoring his family's wishes, she agreed to explain that he had died as the result of an accident.  She since has faced the situation head-on, and has become an advocate for mental health. A Safe Place Inside Your Head was founded by Joanne and her son Tanner, after losing her son Kenny to suicide.  They wanted to share messages with others who struggle  with mental health issues on a daily basis.  I got a chance to talk to her about everything from her struggle with alcoholism to how to sympathize with someone who is having thoughts of suicide.



Thought's of Suicide is podcast that works towards getting ride of the stigma around suicide and mental health, but having conversations.  The goal is to provide support to anyone who have been affected by suicide in any capacity.
