But, when their mission intersects with the Delgado family, whose boat capsized in dinosaur-infested waters, stranding them on the island, both groups confront not only the prehistoric predators that stalk the island but a sinister, long-hidden discovery buried within the facility's ruins. The expedition quickly transforms from a scientific endeavor into a fight for survival against creatures that have mutated and evolved in ways no one anticipated.

Oh, Canada... So, while Derek and Tito prepare to head down to the Big Apple for New York Comic Con next week, Marc an Brien jumped in the escape-pod and headed up North to the Big Smoke (that's Canadian slang for Toronto) to meet up with friends-of-the-show (and fellow podcasters) Christopher and Tristan Ham of the Get Your Shinebox podcast. While we were there, we took in a couple of Toronto Blue Jays baseball games and hung out to drink copious amounts of alcohol, eat poutine and watch lots of movies...two of which we talk about in this week's episode, Blood of Heroes (starring Rutger Hauer, Delroy Lindo, Vincent D'Onofrio and Joan Chen) and Turbo Kid (featuring Michael Ironside).

Hey listeners... So, last weekend we had the privilege and the honor of recording from this year's Dark Arts Festival. This time the festival took place at RISD (the venerated Rhode Island School of Design). Brought to you by our good friend (and Friend of the Show), Josh Dahlin of The Horror Depot...the festival brought together, vendors, artists, authors, side-show performers, drag queens, oddities, and much much more in an all-inclusive and diverse space to celebrate the weird and wonderful world of horror, creativity and community. We were fortunate enough to get to talk to film-makers, paranormal investigators, artists and performers. It was a rainy and miserable late-summer New England day but, all that rain certainly didn't dampen anyone's spirits as we, and everyone else had a helluva lot of fun and you can check it all out by listening in ths very episode!
This week, we're taking a look at the new Amazon Prime Video movie, War Of The Worlds starring Ice Cube, Eva Longoria and Clark Gregg. His relationship with his pregnant daughter Faith and son Dave is strained due to his use (abuse?) of the program to constantly monitor them. While helping FBI agents try to find a mysterious hacker, known as "Disruptor", meteors begin striking all over the planet. When large machines emerge from the meteorites and start attacking humans, Will and his friend Sandra (Eva Longoria) from NASA conclude it is an alien invasion. Can Will stop spying on his own kids long enough to figure out a way to end the invasion? Tune and and find out how we made fun of this cinematic disaster!
Bad movies...we've all seen them, be it on late-night TV or as part of a midnight screening or maybe even being riffed on by the guys from Mystery Science Theater 3000 but, why are we drawn to them, what makes some of them cult-favorites and why do we watch them over and over again? Is it purely out of morbid curiosity? Is it simply to make fun of them or is it that these movies serve as an example of how NOT to make a movie? All these questions (and many more) "might" be answered tonight as we, along with long-time friend of the show, Josh Dahlin, talk all about bad movies. Also, Josh tells us all about his upcoming DARK ARTS FESTIVAL!!!
