This week we had the wonderful Louise on for a quick tour of her veg garden before the rain came down to heavy. She has been creating amazing spaces within the local community to regenerate unused planting spots to brighten up and create wildlife pockets in the urban environment.
Marc and Jamie have been doing involved with the building of 2 showcase gardens Kim O’briens @dahliafarmerama and Ben Shutler @plot27bristol We also had an exclusive from Kim, Mario part of Kim’s build team also joined us. Leanne whose garden won a Platinum medal and Best Beautiful Boarder and Gardeners World Magazine readers choice awards!
How did we get to episode 40 already!! That’s crazy!! What a way to celebrate the milestone by having our first double guest on the podcast, the wonderful Jen and Richenda of Two Girls One Plot Podcast. I have recently found this podcast and binged it. It’s so great to follow their journey in creating there first allotment plot. We had a great chat with them and such a good laugh make sure you listen until then end of the conversation to hear this weeks code word used back at them. Today’s guest is the wonderful Head Gardener at Melbourne Hall gardens in Derby. It’s was great to hear some of the history of the gardens and some of the exciting newer additions that have been made in the most recent history. We also talk about slugs and pests and the natural order of thing. David told us about his journey in to gardening from South Africa where it wasn’t a viable career to Pershore college then finally to Melbourne.

Tonight’s episode Marc goes solo because Ben and Jamie both had Family emergencies. We had a tour of Leanne’s 3 allotment plots then talked about gardening in school and lots about Leanne’s Beautiful Border at Gardeners World Live in June.
Today’s episode was recorded at the end of November the guys are still trying to record the podcast in their gardens despite it only being 2 degrees outside. This week we had the pleasure of talking to the effervescent Gemma about her journey in to gardening. We talked about her awesome portable cutting garden, made from plastic crates meaning if she had to move houses she can take it all with her. We also talked about all things floral displays. This week we spoke to the brilliant August about her gardening journey from Air Hostess to the Head of Raymond Blancs gardening school. After technical issues at the start we managed to crack on and have a wonderful chat the evening flew by!
