Clay has a new single out and it was written by Toby Keith!
Bio:
There’s more to the duality of Clay Walker’s debut Show Dog Nashville album Texas To Tennessee than the title. Certainly, the realities of place are as central as this comeback album’s name implies: Nashville busily working toward the next fresh hit; Texas moving at its inimitable and familiar pace. There’s also a mix of songwriting and production approaches, evident and more nuanced relationships between the songs themselves, and the overarching presence of a naturally gifted vocalist who relentlessly pursues his own development as a singer. But don’t mistake those dualities for dichotomy – and certainly not polarity. In a storied career dotted with smash singles, platinum albums and countless honors and acclaim, maybe the connection between country’s timeless themes and music-of-the-moment timeliness has been there all along.
Many of the country fans behind the almost 20 million on-demand and video streams for his latest single “Need A Bar Sometimes” – who may also be among his 750,000 TikTok followers – are wholly unaware of Walker’s history. Discovered in a Beaumont area bar by noted producer and head of Giant Records James Stroud (Toby Keith, Tracy Lawrence, Tim McGraw, Kenny Rogers), Walker was in his early twenties when he started rattling off a string of smash hits. Among them, “Live Until I Die,” “Dreaming With My Eyes Open,” “This Woman And This Man,” “Hypnotize The Moon,” “Rumor Has It,” “Then What,” “I Can’t Sleep” and “She Won’t Be Lonely Long.” His self-titled debut album rocketed to platinum status, the first of four to cross the million-sold mark. Racking up more than 30 charted singles and 11 No. 1s!

The Frontmen features three singers who were THE voices of three of the top country bands of the '90s: Richie McDonald, formerly of Lonestar, Tim Rushlow, formerly of Little Texas, and Larry Stewart of Restless Heart. From their rave review performances around the globe for our troops, to casinos, fairs and corporate events, to their globally televised performance on the steps of the hallowed Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC, The Frontmen are making their mark on the country music scene. Stewart, Rushlow and McDonald have collectively sold over 30 million records and had over 30 major hits between them. They have a chemistry and brotherhood seldom matched, and they have logged the travel miles to prove it, wowing audiences around the globe with their brand of highly successful intimate unplugged shows. Powerhouse hits performed by The Frontmen include Restless Heart classics, “The Bluest Eyes in Texas,” “That Rock Won’t Roll,” “I’ll Still Be Loving You” and “Why Does It Have to Be (Wrong or Right)." Lonestar smashes such as “Amazed,” “Front Porch Looking In,” and “I’m Already There,” plus Little Texas hits including “God Blessed Texas,” “Amy’s Back in Austin,” and “What Might Have Been.” These songs and many others included in their shows are the soundtrack of a generation. With their combined vocal and instrumental talents, The Frontmen deliver a high-energy show packed with fan-favorites from their three award-winning and critically acclaimed bands. The Frontmen’s debut self-titled album, THE FRONTMEN (available via BBR Music Group / BMG Nashville), brings the three iconic voices to the forefront for the first time. The twelve-track album, produced by two-time GRAMMY-nominated Mickey Jack Cones, features nine original songs, as well as three Lonestar, Little Texas and Restless Heart No. 1 hits, re-recorded Frontmen-style. The trio tag team lead vocals throughout.

After graduating from high school, Sylvia headed to Nashville. She arrived in Music City with a plan: get a day job in the music industry; learn about the music business, and work on getting a recording contract. Sylvia got a job at Pi-Gem Music, which was then one of Nashville’s hottest publishing companies. Pi-Gem was run by Tom Collins (who produced acts like Barbara Mandrell and Ronnie Milsap) and featured a stable of top songwriters, including Dean Dillon and the Grammy-nominated duo Kye Fleming & Dennis Morgan. She spent 4 ½ years at Pi-Gem Music – answering phones, running errands, making coffee, singing song demos, and hanging out with those people every day. “What a magical thing that I happened to get a job working there!” Sylvia states.
After hearing Sylvia sing at an audition, RCA offered her a recording deal. Sylvia’s first two singles snuck into Billboard’s Country Top 40; however, in those days, your label would likely drop you if one of your first three singles didn’t crack the Top 10. Fortunately, her third single, “Tumbleweed,” reached #10 and her fourth, “Drifter,” went all the way to #1. Sylvia’s successful singles led to her debut album, Drifter, which peaked at #10 on Billboard’s Country charts in 1981. Her follow-up, the Just Sylvia album, reached #2, and contained her chart-topping, two-million-selling crossover hit, “Nobody.” The song was BMI’s Country Song of the Year for most radio airplay in 1982 and helped Sylvia be named Academy of Country Music's "Female Vocalist of the Year" and Billboard’s #1 Country Artist, as well as earning a Grammy nomination for "Best Female Vocalist." Sylvia released three more albums on RCA, which yielded a half dozen Top 10 Country singles.

Singer-songwriter and artist Brady Seals has a pedigree for success. He is related to numerous music industry heavyweights including, Jimmy Seals (Seals & Crofts), Dan Seals (England Dan & John Ford Coley), and country songwriters Troy Seals (Songwriting Hall of Fame Member) and Chuck Seals. Throughout his career, Brady Seals has sold over 11 million albums, topped three genres simultaneously, and his songs continue to captivate audiences and attract licenses for TV, radio, and film.

When country music lovers talk about the greatest groups in the genre, Shenandoah is always at the forefront of any
discussion. Fueled by Marty Raybon’s distinctive vocals and the band’s skilled musicianship, Shenandoah became
well known for delivering such hits as “Two Dozen Roses”, “Church on Cumberland Road” and “Next to You, Next
to Me” as well as such achingly beautiful classics as “I Want to be Loved Like That” and the Grammy-winning
“Somewhere in the Vicinity of the Heart” duet with Alison Krauss. The boys from Muscle Shoals have left a potent
legacy in country music with more than 300 million streams, over 8 million combined album sales, and 13 No. 1 radio singles over the course of more than three decades. Today, that legacy continues as Shenandoah has launched its 2024 concert tour.

The Georgia native actually began recording his “new” album Southern Man more than 25 years ago working with Country Music Hall of Famer Waylon Jennings and his legendary bassist Jerry Bridges. Townsend met Jennings when he was just a kid and never dreamed his idol would one day become his mentor.

As the daughter of Country Music Royalty, Pam Tillis was determined from a young age to find her own way in music as a singer and songwriter. After many false starts with her own recording career, including a pop single on Elektra and 1984’s “Above And Beyond The Doll Of Cutey” for Warner Brothers, Tillis came to the attention of Tim Dubois who headed up the Nashville office of Arista records. After much soul searching, Tillis made the commitment to make an honest country record. The album “Put Yourself In My Place” yielded 2 number ones, 2 top five singles, and one top twenty hits and in its first year the album was certified gold. Tillis followed with 3 platinum albums on Arista “Homeward Looking Angel” in 1992, “Sweethearts Dance” in 1994 and an Arista “Greatest Hits” in 1997. Tillis achieved 6 number 1 songs during this time including “Shake the Sugar Tree”, “Mi Vida Loca”, “When You Walk In The Room”, “In Between Dances” “Don’t Tell Me What To Do” and “Maybe It Was Memphis” while 14 of Pam’s other singles landed in the top ten and top twenty.

From Wade:
“The determining factor was when I was 22 years-old. I’d been through four years of college and changed my major twice. I was only doing it because I thought that’s what I was supposed to do,” says Hayes. “I was watching the CMA Awards, and Ricky Skaggs came on and said that all the young artists out there struggling should stick with it, because that’s what they’re called to do. It literally hit me like a ton of bricks, because I was looking for direction, and I had my eyes and ears wide open. It felt like he was speaking to me. I was praying for direction and guidance, and I felt like that was it. The very next day, I started making preparations to move to Nashville.”
