With only the NPL NSW in action over the Easter long weekend, 4 out of the 5 Australian Championship clubs picked up 3 points to keep the NPL NSW league table very tight. The Derby D'Italia is restored for 2025 with both clubs in a great run of form, and Sydney Olympic begin to push their way into the top 6 and set their sights on the top 2 with their unbeaten run in April!!
Things go from bad to worse for South Melbourne, who are now managerless after parting ways with Esteban Quintas after 8 games without a win. Marconi continued their unbeaten run and finally ascended to the top of the table after winning against NWS Spirit. Round 4 of the Australia Cup continues as Round 5 fixtures begin to be announced!
Sydney United 58 pick up another huge win in their step towards regaining form against fellow Australian Championship side Apia. Marconi go equal level with NWS Spirit at the top of the NPL NSW ladder as they get ready to face off this weekend. And Preston returned to winning ways at the expense of the Knights. South Melbourne continues to struggle with form. Apia won a 7-goal thriller and set their sights on beating a fellow Australian Championship side in Matchweek 9. Plus, the Australian Cup returns with the 8 foundation clubs learning their fourth round fixtures.
Avondale proved to be too much for new boy Preston to end their impressive run in their return back to top-flight football. Meanwhile, Wollongong put 4 past their opponent and Sydney United 58 nearly caused an upset over the league leaders. Another big week of NPL NSW and Vic Football!
