(Chris - Collecting Stamps /Airmail)   In this episode, I had the honour to have Chris as my guest. He shared with me his interest in collecting stamps /airmail as his hobby.   Before looking it up online, did you know the term airmail? It’s as simple as it sounds, mail that is carried by air, so in other words planes. However, many years ago mail was mostly delivered by land or sea, it’s only once the world started using planes more and more that people have decided to try a new method of delivery of mail. Technically speaking all physical mail delivered these days are delivered by planes.   For Chris, collecting stamps and airmail allows him to learn more about our history as humans and learn how people back in the days said to each other and shared. To make this interesting, for this episode Chris shared what people shared in the past with their airmail and stamps.     Chris’s links: Website: https://www.christopherfreeze.com/  Website: check-six.com   Twitter: @ThatsMrFreeze Youtube: Christopher Freeze Instagram: @thatsmrfreeze Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ThatsMrFreeze/     Time For Your Hobby links: Website: Time For Your Hobby website (click to find Apple, Spotify, Google and more) Merch: TFYHpodcast  Instagram: @timeforyourhobby Twitter: @tfyhpodcast Podchaser: Time For Your Hobby  Patreon: Timeforyourhobby  Email: timeforyourhobby@gmail.com     If you like this episode and think it can be helpful to someone you are more than welcome to share it and leave a review. (Jason - Surfing)   In this episode, I had the honour to have Jason as my guest. He shared with me his interest in surfing as his hobby.   Mother nature can be your friend and also not your friend all at the same time. The important thing to remember is that you must always be aware of what nature can do. This is especially true when it comes to people who choose to surf. Jason fully understands that he must follow the flow of the wave and not try to fight it.    According to Jason, one of the key things that make surfing fun is not sharing your surfing location with everyone since it might make it overcrowded. Having company is always good but you don’t need the whole city’s population to be there.    Jason’s links: Twitter: @worstsongpod Website/podcast:https://worstsongpod.com/    Time For Your Hobby links: Website: Time For Your Hobby website (click to find Apple, Spotify, Google and more) Merch: TFYHpodcast  Instagram: @timeforyourhobby Twitter: @tfyhpodcast Podchaser: Time For Your Hobby  Patreon: Timeforyourhobby  Email: timeforyourhobby@gmail.com     If you like this episode and think it can be helpful to someone you are more than welcome to share it and leave a review. He shared with me his interest in geocaching as his hobby.   This is one of the hobbies that forces you to explore the outdoors and wanting to do more. Felix has done geocaching in many different countries around the world and enjoys the thrill of finding clues to discover the newest hidden location. Furthermore, this hobby has allowed Felix to do some good for the planet earth by picking up some trash along the way because he understands the importance of keeping the earth clean for the current generation and future generations.    Believe it or not but there a high probability that there’s a geocaching adventure in the city you currently live in. (Megan - Dice Stacking)   In this episode, I had the honour to have Megan as my guest. She shared with me her interest in dice stacking as her hobby.   Dice aren’t only used for board games or gambling, there’s a relatively new way to use dice, and that’s stacking them. It’s more challenging than it looks. Before the interview, I gave it a try and couldn’t even get one die in the cup. Megan continuously challenges her self by trying new tricks to stack these dice. At this point, she can even stack dice with both hands at the same time and even blindfolded. The cool thing about dice stacking is that you can challenge yourself and stack it on almost anything. As Megan and I discussed, it might not be a good idea to stack the dice on the family dog.   Time For Your Hobby links: Website: Time For Your Hobby website (click to find Apple, Spotify, Google and more) Merch: TFYHpodcast  Instagram: @timeforyourhobby Twitter: @tfyhpodcast Podchaser: Time For Your Hobby  Patreon: Timeforyourhobby  Email: timeforyourhobby@gmail.com     If you like this episode and think it can be helpful to someone you are more than welcome to share it and leave a review. (Deshawn - Bowling)   In this episode, I had the honour to have Deshawn as my guest. He shared with me his interest in bowling as his hobby.   Physics is your friend, your body is the only challenger to make the laws of physics work out for you. In this case, I’m talking about how the laws of physics apply to bowl. If done right, you can strikes a perfect game if everything was done to perfection. My guest Deshawn, almost achieve this by getting all strikes except for the first one. I have no doubt that he will soon get a perfect game, maybe even a few! Interestingly enough the bowling gen runs in Deshawn’s family. According to Deshawn, it’s only a few years after he picked up the hobby that he learned that his father also enjoys the activity. Now his new challenge is to beat his father in a bowling game. (Slavicka - Hula Hoop Dancing)   In this episode, I had the honour to have Slavicka as my guest. She shared with me her interest in hula hoop dancing as her hobby.   Hula hoops may seem like a simple circle at first but it has the capability to get your body moving. For Slaicka, she enjoys combining hula hooping with dancing because it allows her to get a full-body workout and also groove to some awesome tunes. One of Slvicka’s biggest challenges with hula hooping was to work on her patience and trying to master a move right away. However like everything in life, the more you do it, the better you will become and you might even end up creating something completely different and make it your own.    Slavicka’s links: Instagram: @sla.vicka   Time For Your Hobby links: Website: Time For Your Hobby website (click to find Apple, Spotify, Google and more) Merch: TFYHpodcast  Instagram: @timeforyourhobby Twitter: @tfyhpodcast Podchaser: Time For Your Hobby  Patreon: Timeforyourhobby  Email: timeforyourhobby@gmail.com     If you like this episode and think it can be helpful to someone you are more than welcome to share it and leave a review. (Curt - Painter)   In this episode, I had the honour to have Curt as my guest. He shared with me his interest in painting as his hobby.   Deep down inside there’s a Bob Ross in all of us, you just need a little spark of inspiration and maybe a happy tree. Curt pulls a lot of inspiration from Bob Ross’s work but likes to add his personal touch to it to make it more of his own taste and that pretty much the whole concept of being a passionate artist. If you want to get started with painting but don’t know where to start, you can do what Curt did and buy a Bob Ross kit on Amazon, because the first step is always giving it a try.   Curt’s links: Podcast: The Podcasters’ Tavern Twitter: @PodcastrsTavrn Facebook:The Podcasters' Tavern instagram: @hydensiek     Time For Your Hobby links: Website: Time For Your Hobby website (click to find Apple, Spotify, Google and more) Merch: TFYHpodcast  Instagram: @timeforyourhobby Twitter: @tfyhpodcast Podchaser: Time For Your Hobby  Patreon: Timeforyourhobby  Email: timeforyourhobby@gmail.com     If you like this episode and think it can be helpful to someone you are more than welcome to share it and leave a review. (Justin - Disc Golf)   In this episode, I had the honour to have Justin as my guest. He shared with me his interest in disc golf as his hobby.   Why limit yourself to traditional golf when you can try new ways to get a hole in one? With that being said Justin enjoys to play golf with a disc, hence the name of disc golf. The cool part about this sport/ hobby is that you can pretty much play it anywhere outside, heck you can even play it indoors if you want to break a few things. Unlike traditional golf, the wind plays a more significant role on the movement of the disc so it's important to find the right time to throw or else you might lose your disc and find someone else while you’re searching for your own disc.   Justin’s links: Youtube: JustDisc - JD Facebook: @JustDiscJD  Instagram: @justdiscjd Reddit: u/JustDiscJD     Time For Your Hobby links: Website: Time For Your Hobby website (click to find Apple, Spotify, Google and more) Merch: TFYHpodcast  Instagram: @timeforyourhobby Twitter: @tfyhpodcast Podchaser: Time For Your Hobby  Patreon: Timeforyourhobby  Email: timeforyourhobby@gmail.com     If you like this episode and think it can be helpful to someone you are more than welcome to share it and leave a review. He shared with me his interest in video game sprite and pixel art as his hobby.   Remember that Italian plumber that jumps on turtles and absorbs the power of stars? Well he had a simple pixel beginning and Dustin enjoys video games that use pixel art. Dustin enjoys improving the look of pixel art to give it a new or enhanced look and energy. Now this isn't just restricted to simply characters, it also includes world maps. He shared with me his interest in archery as his hobby.   Archery has allowed Dustin to connect to his routes and learn more about his ancestor. He mentions that in combat bow arrows can do something that guns can’t do. Do you know what that is? Arrows can curve  and hit targets behind other objects, unless you’re from the movie Wanted, I’m pretty sure guns can’t do that . We can’t all be Robin Hood, Katniss Everdeen, Hawkeye, Legolas or Cupid. But if you keep practicing, you can get pretty close. (Justin - Whip Cracking)   In this episode, I had the honour to have Justin as my guest. He shared with me his interest in whip cracking as his hobby.   Do you hear that? That’s the sound to the sound barrier being broken by a whip. Physics plays an interesting role with a whip and its even powerful enough to snap a can of pop in half. Justin enjoys to play around with the whip, he doesn’t simply fling his arm to crack the whip, he tries to do more and more complexe and cool tricks. He can crack whips with 2 hands, flip them, role it off his neck. He has a lot of tricks up his sleeves, well in this case he has those tricks in his hands. I’m almost certain that I would lose that duel but I will try my best to use a good poker face behind the mask to fool you.  The one person who is always up for a challenge/ duel is Spencer the Fencer. Spencer enjoys using the saber sword when it comes to fencing. If you don’t know what saber is, then I guess you’ll have to listen to this episode. That is honestly the best way to learn more and I’m sure you want to hear Spencer talk about me rather than me.    Spencer's link:  Website: http://chattanoogafencing.com/index.html   Time For Your Hobby links: Website: Time For Your Hobby website (click to find Apple, Spotify, Google and more) Merch: TFYHpodcast  Instagram: @timeforyourhobby Twitter: @tfyhpodcast Podchaser: Time For Your Hobby  Patreon: Timeforyourhobby  Email: timeforyourhobby@gmail.com     If you like this episode and think it can be helpful to someone you are more than welcome to share it and leave a review. She shared with me her interest in fly fishing as her hobby.   The great thing about fishing is that you get to relax and enjoy your environment around you while trying to catch a fish. It’s unfortunate when you don’t catch one but mother nature is always down to give you some company. For Katie, she prefers to do fly fishing because it requires a different set of skills compared to spin fishing. (Nichelle - Medieval Recreation)   In this episode, I had the honour to have Nichelle as my guest. She shared with me her interest in medieval recreation as her hobby.   Recreation of a history allows you to better understand the way of life of people from different time periods. For Nichelle, medieval age is her favourite because she enjoys meeting with her friends and try to live the way people back then lived. Why buy a metal spoon at Walmart, when you can make it? Why buy outfits in a store when you can make it? The easy answer is that buying it is easier but when you make it you get to customize it any way you want and you created something. Nichelle and her group can almost recreate anything from the medieval age, their imagination is their only limit.   Nichelle's link:  Podcast: Rotten Romance Podcast   Time For Your Hobby links: Website: Time For Your Hobby website (click to find Apple, Spotify, Google and more) Merch: TFYHpodcast  Instagram: @timeforyourhobby Twitter: @tfyhpodcast Podchaser: Time For Your Hobby  Patreon: Timeforyourhobby  Email: timeforyourhobby@gmail.com     If you like this episode and think it can be helpful to someone you are more than welcome to share it and leave a review. It might not be significant but it happened in your life. Laurie has a passion to learn about the history around the world and also his own history. He mentioned that talking about history is a wonderful tool to connect people together from various generations because we all have something to offer to someone’s knowledge. (Selina - Violinist)   In this episode, I had the honour to have Selina as my guest. She shared with me her interest in being a violinist as her hobby.   Instruments have the ability to create a mood for any kind of situation. Happy moment? Instruments have a sound for that! Sad moment? Instruments have a sound for that! Neutral moment? Of course, there are instruments that have a sound for that! I don't know about you but out of all the instruments, the violin is for sure my favorite, and Selina was generous enough to share why she enjoys playing the violin. Off the top of your head, what is the difference between Japanese Jujutsu and Brazilian Jujutsu. Don’t know the answer, well I guess you will have to listen to this episode where Iski goes into great detail to explain the differences and how Japanese Jujutsu played a significant role in her life. She also mentions in the episode that when it comes to protecting yourself there’s no such thing as a cheap shot. Use whatever you have to protect yourself. Zanah has always found a way to make best with what she has and bring to life vivid stories that will pull at your heart strings. First of all when you go metal detecting, you can find some pretty cool items that may have some historic significance. Secondly you’re helping clean up the environment from littering. From those two points of view it's a win-win situation. Why not give it a try, I’m sure you’ll find some interesting within 50 meters from where you live.
