If one swears or vows and forgets, once remembered, they are guilty and must bring a trespass offering (or sin offering) to God for their sin. Once the priests makes atonement, their sin is forgiven. Short on the Substance. It was called the burnt offering because it was literally burned on the altar all night until the morning. The priest then put on his priestly attire and carried the ashes outside the camp to a clean place. The fire for the burnt offering was never to go out! On the third day it should be burned with fire as it is an abomination to eat of it after the second day. These sacrifices could not be eaten if one was unclean, the consequence would be a removal from his people. The chapter closes out with God commanding no consumption of fat in the ox, sheep or goat. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/timeoutwithjim/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/timeoutwithjim/support

Aaron and his sons were commanded to keep the order of the tabernacle of the congregation outside of the vail every day, all day. This became a statute forever for the children of Israel in their generations. In chapter 28, Aaron and his sons were chosen by God to minister or serve God in the priest’s office. Holy garments were commanded for tailoring for glory and beauty. The garments needed to have a breastplate, ephod, robe, broidered coat, a mitre, and a girdle. https://solo.to/timeoutwithjim --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/timeoutwithjim/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/timeoutwithjim/support
