Why Are We Called to Serve Others?Join Time to Thrive this month as we dive into God's Word to explore this powerful question. Today, Anna and Haelle lead us to a key passage: 📖 Romans 12:10–11 (KJV)"Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;💡 This month, let’s stand out by showing God’s love in action—not just by what we say, but by how we live. Let’s love like that. 💕
Let us hold fast to the endurance we receive through Christ Jesus. Every struggle we face, every hardship we endure, is not in vain. Through it all, our faith is refined and strengthened, drawing us closer to His purpose and glory.
🕊️ Marriage. Faith. Endurance.A few reminders for the journey:• Spend time alone with God. It strengthens everything else.• You don’t have conflicts—you have disagreements. Handle them with grace.• Choose your battles. Not every hill is worth climbing.• Check your expectations: Are they loving? Are they realistic?• There’s no hierarchy in love. Walk side by side.• Ask: What is most beneficial right now?• Prayer isn’t passive—it’s action.• Proverbs 3:5–6 — Trust. Submit. He will lead.• Be patient. Pray. Wait• You’re not just in a marriage—you are the marriage.• Take 3 days to pray before major decisions. Let peace guide you.💬 Which of these speaks to you today?
Endurance is not just about surviving hardship—it’s about resting in the promises of God while we do. True endurance comes from a place of trust. We hold fast not because we are strong, but because He is faithful.Trust. Wait. Work as you wait. His promises never fail.Jacob and Rachel’s story in Genesis 29 is one of love, endurance, waiting—and trusting God's timing even through hardship and delay. It perfectly echoes your earlier reflection: “Trust. Wait. Work as you wait.”
The apostle Paul reminds us that we should boast in our afflictions, not because pain is pleasant, but because of what it produces:"We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope..." — Romans 5:3-4Every hardship becomes an invitation to grow. Every trial is a refining fire. When we endure, it brings glory to God—because it points to His sustaining grace, not our own strength. Endurance testifies that Christ is enough, even when everything else is stripped away.

In a world where harsh words, gossip, sarcasm, or negativity are so easy to fall into, Paul reminds us that our words should build up, not tear down. Anna and Haelle wrap up the final Love Like That: Communication episode. We hope you've enjoyed listening this month!
Join Anna and Haelle in this episode of Love Like That as they sit down with Pastor Barry and Andrea to explore how effective communication can strengthen and transform a marriage.
In Luke 1:5–25, we see the story of Zechariah and Elizabeth, a devout couple who had long prayed for a child. Despite their righteousness, they remained childless until an angel visited Zechariah to announce that Elizabeth would bear a son—John the Baptist. Zechariah doubted, and as a result, he was rendered mute until the prophecy came to pass. This passage sheds light on how vital communication is in a marriage and how it affects trust, understanding, and unity.Communication in marriage is essential because it builds trust and respect, resolves conflicts, and prevents misunderstandings, which can lead to a strong and more fulfilling relationship.
The idea of corrupt communication is something that hits close to home for many people. In Ephesians 4:29, Paul says:“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.”It’s a powerful challenge, right? In a world where harsh words, gossip, sarcasm, or negativity are so easy to fall into, Paul reminds us that our words should build up, not tear down.
It's the last episode on Identity! As we wrap up our series, we hope we've given you ideas on how to look at your identity in your marriage and relationships. Just remember that the key to navigating this journey is being rooted in God’s Word. The Bible provides wisdom and guidance for all areas of life, including marriage. When we make scripture a daily part of our lives, we are better equipped to face challenges and celebrate victories together.
Marriage is often viewed as a partnership between two people, but there’s a deeper connection when Christ is at the center. As we explore this topic, we reflect on the truth that our identity is rooted in Christ first, and from that foundation, we can grow into the people we’re meant to be within our marriages. Listen as Anna and Haelle interview Ryan and McKenzie Leonard for this month's topic, Identity.
