Its been a long time, especially when the podcast is supposed to be monthly, but here is another doze of sweetness - this time, Japanese. The episode is aimed to elaborate on japanese sentimental, overly gentle music culture that has developed over decades. We know there is japanese harsh noise, and punk, but would be fair to say that this (namely acoustic-glitch music) segment represents most infantile and fluffy sides of japanese people that didn't stop dreaming. And it is beautiful.

This time the podcast is dedicated to meditative ambient/resonant drone. Current compilation is inspired by the intention to explore static, slowly changing tones and textures which inevitably conduct the listener to meditative state, reorienting the attention to inner self. Structurally introvert music, without any decorations, details are unnecessary and even if exist - eliminated by the main focal point of dense and rich flows of audio-spectrum combinations. Constantly shifting tones combined with binaural beat technology, meanwhile the frequencies change by 8th of tone and more therefore fitting the category of microtonal music and in this podcast - microtonal drone. Best pieces merged together in this episode to represent this flavour of music. This first podcast in the series of sonic explorations is dedicated to one particular character of sound - crackling rarefied micromusic, sometimes called Microwave or in this case term Clicks'n'cuts is very applicable. Clicks and cuts is a minimal aesthetic based in the use of audio material to weave entirely unique rhythms and atmospheres. Masterfully arranging such bits and pieces creators reached calm and fragile feel which is the leading motive of this compilation. Clicks music is born as an outcome of interaction process between a person and computer mostly as being dsp originated, but sometimes it is done with old samplers and tape recorders, therefore we cant say it necessarily should be digital. For many microsound producers its a process of zooming any musical material, examining for any interesting parts which then will be reconstructed and organised into new musical form. Music from the best representatives of such micro-manipulations has been carefully selected to emerge listener into the deep and light sound collage in silent evening just before you sleep...
