Friday, December 18, 2015, is an opportunity and a great excuse to get us caught up and in the world of wacky politics and a further opportunity to explore and emphasize the insanity of modern day insanity os what passes as acceptable in today's world, which is NOIT acceptable to the vast majority of us. We'll look at topics as diverse as public education, "real time" and deep activism, our conservative commentator Dan Calabrese with his take on the Democrats response to ISIS, and sports with our Sports Director Sean "Smitty" Smith.

December 17, 2015, is an opportunity for our National Political Director Richard Zombeck, a featured columnist for The Huffington Post, to debate the Republican debate from Tuesday evening. Was there real information, conversation, analysis, and opportunity for the candidates and profound moments of clarity and truth that presented itself? You can probably guess the answers to those questions withi=out even watching or reading about the debates, but there were moments worth exploring in further detail and commentary. Stay tuned. We'll also visit with State Representative Brian Banks on car insurance rates in Detroit and other environs across the state. This IS a conversation and a solution to get the legislature to finally do something realistic that actually helps, which means that most likely will not happen. I mean Mr. Banks is a Democrat, after all, so good ideas are less than welcome. We'll see but will not hold our breath!

Roz Keith, another admired regular guest joins Tony this morning to explore whether or not Caitlyn Jenner is helping or hurting the dialogue on transgender rights and lifestyle. Editor and Publisher of Inside Michigan Politics and a leading political columnist for MLive.com bring her amazing observations of current politics and the reality of this insanity and the reality of what is transforming the media and the world. Jon Sherman with the Fair Elections Legal Network and a prestigious list of advocacy organization who believe in democracy and are opposed to the series of anti-election bills dangerously close to being passed by the Michigan legislature and perhaps signed by Rick Snyder. They want to be sure that the vast majority of voters oppose these bills but more importantly, we don't believe the lies that proponents are using to justify their position. And to close out the show, Doug Cunningham the anchor of WIN News updates us on ongoing labor disputes, the increase in worker strikes and activism of Organized Labor, and how the power of the people is alive and well, thank you very much!

December 7, 2015, is another day that will live in infamy, but more for the assault on public education and the legislative and lack of leadership from the Governor to the local "leader" of the Educational Achievement Authority that is wrapped in scandal, secrecy and abysmal failure, backed by fact and data. It is also time for Eastern Michigan University to pull its support for the EAA and exit with profound declarations as to why, loud and clear. We'll visit with our Political Strategies Joe DiSano with DiSano Strategies and Chris Savage with Eclectablog.com. Tony will also host State Representative and candidate for Congress in the 7th CD Gretchen Driskoll to discuss her outrage and plan to stop the elimination of straight ticket voting. The Saturday, December 5, 2015, T&Z Talk spectacular will focus in on the tragedy in SanBernardino, CA and all of the issues that accompany it: terror, gun control, denial, political reaction from both sides, and much more. We'll also explore a recent racist comment by Michigan State Senator Marty Knollenberg on black children in public schools, and this one will blow your mind. It's not just what he said, which is obviously bigoted, but how freely he said it. Listen and be offended. The question that remains unanswered as of this writing is if the Senate will do anything to help heal and correct his assertion. We'll see!

This particular December 4, 2015, will be, or should be, a clarion call to the racist and bigoted views of State lawmakers who out themselves all the time and it is time to hold them accountable for what they say and why they say it. Join David Hecker from the American Federation of Teachers - Michigan as he recounts a Senate hearing yesterday that spells this all out. We'll also visit with our activist expert and visionary Sam Daley-Harris and our conservative commentator Dan Calabrese and Sports Director Sean "Smitty" Smith on Kobe's retirement, the Lions last second loss and much more.

December 3, 2015, brings yet another mass shooting, another reminder that the National Rifle Association owns the GOP, that the political will we discuss so often on this show is absent and the courage to protect our citizens with the kind of logical and obvious legislation that can no longer be about politics but about reality. And the reality is simple: while the extreme 2nd Amendment zealots continue to buy their ability to sell more guns, at all cost, our friends, neighbors, CHILDREN, and others are being killed at the pace of a mass shooting a month. Think about that, seriously!
Joining us is our National Political Director Richard Zombeck to help Tony break down what happened, what needs to happen and the likelihood it will happen. Is this time enough? We'll also check in with Lonnie Scott, the Executive Director of Progress Michigan and PM's recent FOIA request of the Attorney General's office and discover the cost and what is at stake. As the political candidate season is on top of us, a recently announced candidate for the State Board of Education, John Stweart, joins Tony to discuss his vision for the Board, his amazing background, and his ongoing commitment to making sure our school-age children get all the advantages they should have. He is a great advocate and will stop at nothing to be sure we protect our children in the classroom and beyond! James Clift with the Michigan Environmental Council checks in with the show to share the cost of power and how the state and the utilities are still getting it wrong.

This December 2, 2015, program, will place needed and underserved attention to the LGBTQ community, with a special emphasis on Transgender rights, misinformation, realities and solutions. Both Amy Hunter, Trans Advocacy Coordinator for the ACLU of Michigan/Trans Advocacy Project and Roz Keith, parent, advocate, and activist for trans youth will explore and empower us and give us an opportunity to assist them in their efforts to continue the journey to acceptance instead of tolerance. Stay tuned. Susan Demas, the Editor and Publisher of Inside Michigan Politics and a leading political columnist with MLive.com is back this week and her words are never gray and always sharp and on-point whether you agree or disagree, you always get it straight from Susan and today will be no different.

December 1, 2015, begins the march toward a new year and a new focus if we so choose. I choose the new focus and I hope you will join me on this journey as we wrap up 30 days of watchful legislative action as every year-end pushes topics and agendas that many in the state and federal legislative think we are not paying attention to, but we are, oh, yes we are!
Today we begin that march with regular guests Ryan Fishman with the Fishman Group, Mark Brewer with Goodman Acker and Chad Selweski. Topics will be diverse and carry messages I hope you will help me deliver to a wider audience. The goal, as always, is to empower more people to facts and truth so that change can and will happen, even if it is one person at a time. Please pay attention today as you will get information here that no one else is discussing in this kind of detail and we will give you direct access to insider information, analysis and opinion based in reality. That is a promise Tony keeps daily!

November 30, 2015, may be the end of the month, but it is NOT the end of our quest to enlighten and empower you all to the truth about what is happening right in front of you that you can and should be doing something about. Joe DiSano with DiSano Strategies and Chris Savage with Eclectablog.com join Tony again this week as their regular Monday segments have become critical to many of you not just because of their strong and truthful voices, but because they delve into issues that many ignore or wish would go away. Not so fast!
