What No One Tells You About Faith and Hard Times | Ralph Royea | THCC Days Until, Pastor Ralph's message from July 20th, 2025 The Shirelles' song, “Mama Said,” reminded us “that there’ll be days like this.” King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes 7:14, In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as the other, so that man may not find out anything that will be after him.” (ESV) Okay, some days will be better than others, but every day is a gift and an opportunity to consider God. Psalm 118 tells us, “This is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Faith does not wait “until” the good days to rejoice; Faith never stops rejoicing or believing in the promises of God. A thousand bad days cannot and will not compare to one day in His courts. If we finish the Cycle of “Rs,” the last "R" is Rejoice. Worship, Praise, Faith, and Rejoicing are not only prescribed or restricted for the good days, but for each and every one of the “days until.” Sure, “Moma Said,” but better yet is what Father declared in Jeremiah 33:14, The days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will fulfill the good promise I made to the people of Israel and Judah. How Faithfulness Brings Big Rewards! | Ralph Royea | Touch Heaven Community Church Fire-Works We come into Sunday after having the last few evenings lit up with the sights and sounds of fireworks. An illustrative reminder that the freedom and independence we celebrate as a nation came with a price tag of tears, wounds, scars, blood, limbs, and, for some, their very lives. Now, through Christ's suffering, we have Independence. We are no longer slaves to sin or the bondage of this world. We are made new and have, by faith, been given authority and dominion, none of this without great expense. Our nation celebrates Independence Day with fireworks. Can we celebrate our Salvation and Independence Day, trusting that the Fire Works? Jeremiah tells us that the Word of God is like Fire, and Elijah described Yahweh as the God who answers by fire. The Lord’s ministers are ministers of Fire. In Acts, it was wind and tongues of Fire that rested on the heads of the believers. Isaiah's lips were touched by coal from the altar. Let us continue to fear, reverence, and respect God by living in, trusting in, and working through His Fire. It's time to ASCEND! | Ralph Royea | THCC Time to go up. The first step is literally a leap of faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen. In Romans 12:3, Paul tells us that we, by the Father’s grace, have each been given a measure of faith. This faith is the power to be faithful. The first usage of faithful is in Numbers 12:6, stating that Moses is faithful in all his house. Faithful is more than loyal, steadfast, true, and dependable. It is that we, because of confidence and trust in Father, literally live, move, and have our being. Moving, Living, and Being in Him, with Him, and through Him, being fruitful and multiplying in all He has given us and given us to do. Faithful to complete the function, purpose, and assignment that Father has given us. Romans 8:37 “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” Because of the faith Father has given us, not anything in us lest we boast and become prideful. Great things our, “life and life more abundantly,” is our portion and our portion to bring into the Kingdom as a “faithful servant.” Matthew 25:25 “I was afraid and hid…” is not our portion; John 10:10 is! These "therefore" statements lead us to four responses that mark our life as believers. We make pleasing God our aim, we no longer regard the flesh as a means of measurement, we share this great news with others, and we represent and work on behalf of the Father Himself. We tend to hold on to the old, whether for sentimental, honoring, familiarity, comfort, or reasons of nostalgia. I am not saying these things are bad, yet we have to put on the mind of Christ and take every thought captive and examine its origin and intent. Our mindsets, consciousness, patterns, and beliefs have been made new. Aligning new desires, goals, passions, possibilities, and what we now value. We have been made new, “behold, all things have become new.” Embrace the newness of God in your life. There are new things and places we can go to, believe in, and receive in Christ.
