What does it mean to be an outdoor brand? Where does avant garde begin and functionality end? Can the two co-exist? I dont ask Sam he seems to be well versed on the topic as a fashion degree holder and a working designer!
Welcome to Season 2! First on the menu is Henry Munksgaard the founder of The Man Who Captured Sunshine. One of my favorite brands right now. Sunshine is an American heritage brand that in my mind focuses on simple living and the iconic americana styles that helped shape fashion. We had a wonderful chat, tune in 2 weeks from now to listen to the episode with Sam Liepke!
Antonio is a skater, connoisseur, and certified DRESSER! Founder of 18 East and the thing of envy for anyone who looks at his story. I had a blast talking to him about growing up in the outdoors and all of the various influences that shaped how he dresses and enjoys the outdoors today. Hope you all enjoy! PS: I just moved so the WI-FI is trash, It will hopefully be more stable for the next episode with Reese Cooper ;)
Mikey has incredible steeze and is an accomplished runner. Had a great time talking about being your own competition, peeing yourself while running, how skater style will never die, and so much more. Hope you enjoy!
Fan favorite Ben Greenwood is back on the pod to plug his 80 instagram accounts and shill for big goretex. Its always a good time to chat with Ben and this time was no different. If you love goprcore (not dead) and the reddit lake then stop on by and have a listen!
We're back by the fire folks. And who better to kick off the year by the fire than Ali George Hinkins himself. We spoke about Paris fashion week and how he'll never do another podcast again. Hope you all enjoy! and remember that you can watch teh video on Youtube as well.

Full government name in the IG handle and full send on whatever niche obsession he's into these days. Nolan was a blast to talk to, dare I say one of the classics here on the Trees and Nylon podcast. I hope you all enjoy the ep and look forward to the Fintan and NDW episode sometime soon!
Founder of AdhereTo Studios and a woman with a storied past in the apparel game, Alex Dean is a welcome edition to the Trees and Nylon rolodex. We talked about getting stuck in Australia, why the Toronto accent is a sin against God, and trying to start a brand when you have morals. Hope you enjoy!
Ben is an ice climber, The North Face ambassador, and thrill seeker who Im very happy has agreed to come on for a little chat. From scaling peaks in Timbs to ice climbing in North Face gear, Ben and I had a great conversation and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did!
Author of Ametora, Culture and Status, and a third book yet to come. David is a US transplant living in Tokyo and an enthusiast of menswear and fashion. We had a great talk about how culture operates in both countries and how that affects how fashion develops.
American transplant and biking enthusiast Charlie came on the pod this week. We have a lovely chat that was a little about trees and a little about nylon but mostly about how America has a car problem. I had a great time talking to him and I hope you all enjoy listening!
Were back and better than ever. Recurring character in the trees and nylon universe, Josty, makes his official second appearance on the podcast. We talked all about living it up in Manchester and breaking a vegetarian streak. Enjoy!
