PERRIN FERTHA and VEL SARTHA, two characters with tragic relationships. One built on the cultural tradition of an arranged marriage, the other built on rebellion and love. Perrin and Mon. Vel and Cinta. Two relationships broken, by the Rebellion in completely different ways.Perrin is a hedonist, whose characterization in Season 1 made him seem antagonistic and loveless towards Mon. During Season 2 that perception has shifted to something more nuanced, and thanks to revelations of a deleted scene, our impression of Perrin might be more complicated.Vel is a warrior, like Cinta. Both are committed to the cause and torn apart by it. A relationship strongly implied in Season 1 was finally sealed with a kiss in Season 2 with Lucasfilm finally deciding to "say gay". As soon as we had this lovers return, Cinta was taken from us by a stray blaster bolt from a foolish boy.Today we take a deep dive into these two characters and their arcs during Andor S2. In the briefing room of Home One, Caroline Blakiston gave life to Mon Mothma.
