He discusses how making mistakes will teach you so much more than any of your successes will. You have a 100% survival rate on this Earth, you have gotten through every trouble you’ve ever had, you’re here!Rather than wallowing in the failures and mistakes that you’ve made, focus on getting yourself better, start working out, start learning something new, keep your mind busy and challenge yourself every single day! You will work yourself out of a rut in no time. There are lions and there are sheep, the lions don’t have to be entrepreneurs, or millionaires, or thought leaders. It’s someone who loves what they do and has passion every day. Those that are great, are no different than the average person, it’s just the mindset that they have in the morning, and when they go to sleep.Always grind, always stay positive, and strive to inspire yourself and the people around you. That’s success. Links:  Follow True Underdog on IG: www.instagram.com/true_underdogReach out to Jayson directly at jayson@trueunderdog.comFollow Jayson on Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jayson-waller-/Follow Jayson on Instagram: www.instagram.com/jaysonwallerbamCheck out our website to meet the team, view show notes and transcripts: www.trueunderdog.comApply for a chance to receive a $10,000 business grant: https://trueunderdog.com/underdog-achievers-program/ Timestamps: 1:16 - What Are Your Going to Do About It2:08 - There Is No Top Floor4:24 - Tough Mentality5:59 - Never Easy8:00 - Inspiring the People Around You10:15 - Business Is Black and White12:18 - Take Control14:02 - Keeping Yourself Aligned16:43 - Utilize What You Learn18:49 - Use Your Problems as Motivation

Today on the show John LeBlanc is back and interviews Jayson about why you need to stop overthinking your problems, and start quickly making decisions, to solve them! Jayson talks about how he hates the phrase “what if” and how it means that you are looking backwards, when you should be trying to fix the problems that are at hand right now. It’s important to think of yourself last in business decisions, first think about how this will affect your brand and your team, then about how it will affect you. When making important decisions, Jayson thinks about how it will impact right now, tomorrow and 6 months from now. Thinking any further down the road than that will allow you to start overthinking the problem at hand.Follow the facts, make an informed decision, but ultimately following your gut will help you make quick decisions. Don’t try to make the right decisions, take action and move forward from there! Links:  Follow True Underdog on IG: www.instagram.com/true_underdogReach out to Jayson directly at jayson@trueunderdog.comFollow Jayson on Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jayson-waller-/Follow Jayson on Instagram: www.instagram.com/jaysonwallerbamCheck out our website to meet the team, view show notes and transcripts: www.trueunderdog.comApply for a chance to receive a $10,000 business grant: https://trueunderdog.com/underdog-achievers-program/ Timestamps: 1:14 - Everyday Overthinking3:38 - Analysis Paralysis6:21 - No Doubts10:24 - Struggling to Make Quick Decisions13:02 - Getting Unstuck15:08 - You Don’t Try, You Do15:54 - If Only…18:34 - Keep Moving Forward20:04 - In the Moment23:09 - Bigger Than Us26:50 - Aggravated Optimism30:39 - Growth Mindset Leader33:09 - Honest and Real Culture36:35 - Never Settle39:01 - Breaking Barriers
Today on the show we’re talking to Brian Scudamore, the founder and CEO of O2E brands, the parent company of 1-800 Got Junk, Wow One Day Painting, and Shack Shine. He also wrote a book, WTF?! (Willing to Fail): How Failure Can Be Your Key to Success, talking about his story of how he came from small beginnings to owning several companies. As a kid Brian moved from school to school, having to make new friends, learn the environment, and adapt. Brian thinks that had a big impact on becoming an entrepreneur. He had to learn to overcome those obstacles, meet new people, and create new relationships.Brian talks about how he needed to make failures in order to get to where he is today, he mentions a time, early in 1-800-GOT-JUNK’s life that he had to fire 11 people at once because they weren’t good fits for his image of the company. He doesn’t regret any of it because without those mistakes, he wouldn’t be where his today, with the lessons he’s learned from them. Links:  Follow True Underdog on IG: www.instagram.com/true_underdogReach out to Jayson directly at jayson@trueunderdog.comFollow Jayson on Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jayson-waller-/Follow Jayson on Instagram: www.instagram.com/jaysonwallerbamCheck out our website to meet the team, view show notes and transcripts: www.trueunderdog.comApply for a chance to receive a $10,000 business grant: https://trueunderdog.com/underdog-achievers-program/ Mentioned in the Episode:  Brian's Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/scudamore/?originalSubdomain=caBrian’s Twitter: https://twitter.com/brianscudamore?lang=enBrian’s Book, WTF?! Today on the show Jayson is interviewed by Ben Brookhart, CSO of Powerhome Solar. They are discussing Jayson’s opportunity to meet with President Trump. Jayson talks about how he didn’t want to just be another suit at the meeting, he wanted to stand out, and be memorable! If you’re given an opportunity like this, you can’t just sit back and not take advantage!Having a moment of insecurity is normal, having that second of doubt about if you should be there or not happens to everyone. Jayson talks about getting nervous being around billionaires and thinking he doesn’t belong in the room. He quickly was able to pull himself together, tell himself what he needed to hear and rock the room! Melting away any stuffiness that was present, for everyone!Jayson met this opportunity head on, and took action to make sure that he could stick in the president's head and help grow a name for his business and his industry. Take every opportunity in your life like the Super Bowl, you don’t just want to make it to the Super Bowl, you want to play in it! Links:  Follow True Underdog on IG: www.instagram.com/true_underdogReach out to Jayson directly at jayson@trueunderdog.comFollow Jayson on Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jayson-waller-/Follow Jayson on Instagram: www.instagram.com/jaysonwallerbamCheck out our website to meet the team, view show notes and transcripts: www.trueunderdog.comApply for a chance to receive a $10,000 business grant: https://trueunderdog.com/underdog-achievers-program/ Timestamps: 1:25 - Meet Ben Brookhart3:49 - Sharing the Story7:16 - Strategy for Talking to Trump9:03 - Act As If12:18 - Be Memorable15:29 - Set the Stage17:34 - Talking to Trump21:28 - Adapting to the Situation25:19 - Solar is Not a Political Issue29:29 - Creating Action31:27 - Opportunities35:47 - You Can’t Buy Time
