For our final installment in our three-part series on the Boston Marathon Bombing, we are once again joined by independent researchers Howie and Ben Howard as we turn our focus to Dhozkhar Tsarnaev and some of his closest friends. We walk through his arrest and controversial trial and dissect some of the curious information that comes to light from many of the government’s legal filings.
We speak to Boni Illagan, renowned Filipino anti-martial law activist, journalist, and playwright about his radicalization, Martial Law under the Marcos dictatorship, and the hollowing out of Filipino historical memory. Ferdinand Marcos’s son, Bong Bong Marcos, is running for President in the May elections alongside Sarah Duterte, the current president's daughter. A nightmare for those who survived to tell the stories of their capture, torture, and years of imprisonment under the Marcos rule, Bong Bong has soared in popularity particularly with young people.
Boni Illagan is co-convenor of the Campaign Against the Return of the Marcoses and Martial Law (facebook.com/CARMMAPH), an organization working tirelessly to keep the memory of the Marcos’s brutality alive.

kinda funny.... I listen to this shit in the shower, so I had to listen to that soothing music the entire time... Also, I put this off for a couple of weeks, so the April Fool's joke didn't quite land.. Jokes on you!
I saw the episode notification on my way to work. I wasn't looking forward to spending the next 12 hours in a forklift cab for the 13th day in a row but thinking about listening to the interview on the way home got me through the day. I even waited on playing the 'cast until I was situated with a nice fancy ipa (Fin Du Monde) and a couple of Percies back at the double wide. It is perhaps one of the most revealing scandalous hour or so of audio out there. Thank you TruAnon!
dirty
lame.
good one lol
respect the technique
Well that was a vibe
fuck yall
I listened to this looping track way longer than I should have before realizing it never ended
in ep 80 hearing liz get just really into performing that real estate ad is extremely entertaining. that was what made me comment in this podcast app but also they both do wildly good looks into important issues in this (series of!) legal case(s). I hate that this is my content-mines-style piece of media that I'm consuming to stay sane - in no universe should this be the sane thing, but here we are. the realest, truly, are Liz and Brace.
The thing they're trying to describe is a limited hangout. From Nixon's hatchetmen to Reagan's in Iran Contra, you hang the people you need to out to dry because you can't hide everything, but you then get to keep the majority secret and get to claim that justice has been served and the bad actors rooted out. We love to see it, don't we.
Wow, VDS comes to true anon.
Ward Churchill is an absolute joker and pretendian.
Deeeeeray is such a weird motherfucker.
