Annie’s good buddy Maree has taken a leap of faith and taken her good self off to Tanzania to climb the infamous ⛰ Mt Kilimanjaro. All 19,000 plus feet of the Buggar! She has trained with a terrific hiking group in Melbourne called HIKED, altitude training in Croydeon (yeah, I know right!) and plenty of times up the 1000 steps.Annie spoke to Maree on the eve of her trip to get a sense of where she was at. The night finished with Annie and Maree being silly and singing small parts of all the best 80s tunes.
Its the veggie gardening renovation time. Bronny talks about how her veggie bed came about from a ugly garden. she talks about compost and what goes in the compost and then not having to buy compost or soil. It awesome!! Randal is once again the best gardening companion. And so is Basil! Basil is a great companion for your tomatoes plants. Tomatoes planting in a whole new way this year and she is keen to kill it with tomatoes this year. Bronny is a great believer in companion planting been putting flowering annual to encourage bees and keep away the bugs. Maccy boy is around again and because its recorded outside there are some interesting sounds including the breeze in the microphone. Enjoy.
Going solo for the first time ever!! Not the first time ever recorded though, there was a radio show a long time ago... So the theme in Bronny's garden starts with edible or look able. Somewhere in the middle of their Vietnam Trip Annie and Bronny are sitting pool side to podcast. They are exhausted and exhilarated from their motorbike trip the day before. It was hot, hot, hot and a bloody ripper trip. Greenie unknowingly made his podcast debut with special comments and then a massive bomb in the pool. Bronny says don't miss out, just get up and dance. Annie lurrrves being a pillion passenger rather than an accident waiting to happen. No OHS there just freedom. This Episode is all about what's important to pack for their impending trip. Interestingly their packing thinking is quite different!! Its about hot rocks and vitamins, its about naturopathic homeopathic & curash. Its luggage type and being honest. Annie calls Bronny a dork and its not the first time...she also calls Bronny a Wally sometimes, and that is also true. There is zip ties, zip locks and swim back bras. Oh and don't get Bronny started on her high hair, inner thigh rash and undergarments. For Annie its Passport, Credit Card defenders and sleepover knickers. They are back!!! Bronny & Annie have come of their poddy hiatus. And for some reason Bronny sounds like a pirate...no idea why. So for lots and lots of reasons they have taken some time away from the microphone, 3 months in fact. Todays poddy is all about why they have taken the time away...and the way forward from here. There has been so much going on at home and at work for both gals, but for Bronny there has been some sad stuff, some work challenges, there has been operations, broken arms and special fur babies going missing. And nothing can be done but to step down and accept what it is. Give yourself the time and space to deal with life as it is. Learn from it. The girls talk about the lessons they continue to learn. Simples! Oh and while your at it, go on holidays but make sure you enjoy the lead up...especially when Annie organises your whole trip.
