What if your dad trapped you in a basement for 35 years and never let you see the sun, because of his paranoia and fear of communism? You're right, that does sound like the basis for a fun and charming 90's oddball comedy starring Brendan Fraser. Here we go!

Fresh out of the jungle, it's time for Brendan to jump start Ian McKellan's movie career with this movie about strokes, cigars, Frankenstein, and mowing lawns. That's most of it, that's most of what it's about.

It's Brendan's final film before the arrival of George. There's puppets. Sleeping on pianos. Cons and schemes. It's got everything. I mean it's really not George of the Jungle but it's got a lot of stuff.

It’s time to talk about one heck of a 90’s TV movie. In this one, genetic testing can determine whether a baby will be gay or not, and the family have to decide whether to abort it or not because of that. It’s actually kind of good..? Listen in to hear us stumble our way through this one!

We're back! After a painfully long break the boys are back on the mic with another tiny Brendan Fraser cameo in a big sad Baffleck movie about being 22, becoming self-aware, and shredding with your bros. Angst for the memories everyone.

Brendan Fraser had a cameo in this Canadian sketch troupe's movie so we had to watch it just for that.

On the 17th episode of our Brendan Fraser filmography odyssey, we're breaking the chronology to go back to the cinema for most of the day. The legendary Martin Scorcese brings some legends back to the screen, including the big bad Brendan himself. So is it good? And more importantly, is Brendan loud enough?

On the 16th episode of our Brendan Fraser filmography odyssey, it's cameo time again in a girl movie for girls about what it's like to be a girl in a Stephen King novel in the 70s except there's no monster. Needless to say we got a lot out of this one.

On this episode, it's Brendan Fraser's 1994 anthology series episode Professional Man! Brendan plays gay, psychopathic hitman Johnny Lang, whose cover is as an 'ace elevator operator'. Directed by Steven Soderbergh (for real). Join us for a discussion of noir, the mechanics of shivving someone, and what the gay mafia's vibe would probably be like.

On the 13th episode of Turns of Frase, Brendan plays a baseball man who loves baseball and is all about baseball. That's why there's so much baseball in this movie. So much. Because it's a baseball movie.

Adam Sandler! Steve Buscemi! Brendan Fraser! ... David Arquette kind of! On the 11th episode of Turns of Frase, it's time to rock and roll in a movie about young spaced out white guys holding people at gun point because they deserve to 'be heard'. So yeah Airheads kinda misses the mark tonally, but a fascinating watch!

On the tenth episode of Turns of Frase, it's a 1994 movie about Joe Pesci in his Robin-Williams-With-A-Beard-Movie era, and a group of attractive friends at college. (The college is Harvard by the way and this movie will not let you forget it). Didn't mind this one.

On the 9th episode of Turns of Frase, we're back in the Pauly Shore-iverse with a suprisingly good movie about Carla Gugino pretending to be attracted to Pauly Shore in South Dakota. Brendan Fraser is in this for about twelve seconds. We really are doing this.

You know how cool and sexy running a storage facility is? You know what a high paced, high stakes environment that is? Well this movie is about that. It's about a group of psychopaths doing that.

It’s not a guilty pleasure, because we have no guilt. The third Christmas Prince movie is here, and the franchise is better than ever.

This film has actually provided an almost perfect litmus test for judging people who decide that they are movie critics worth listening to. This pair has a little bit to offer, but it's still amateur hour. First, don't record your podcast in a place that's filled with voices and commotion. And if you DO, get the sound right and don't b**** about it throughout the podcast. Be a man and own that s***. Second - and may be most important in this case - these two have a ridiculously narrow definition of what qualifies as horror. You cannot have that, then turn around and expect your criticisms of a movie like this to be taken seriously. Hell, their solution to everything that was "wrong" with the second half was to change it so that it would be exactly like every other horror movie. Seriously? I'm going to have to pass on subscribing to this one.
Regarding this lunacy that every single death has to have meaning and be some sort of a production, I have a question for people: Would you be more afraid of a highly contagious virus that afflicted only people with certain characteristics, or one that could afflict anyone at any time, with no rhyme or reason?
