Description

Mental illness and deaths by suicide are on the rise. People are, more and more, claiming their lives are purposeless and valueless. The existential therapists are mostly right when they say that our neuroses or mental illnesses are a product of an underlying existential vacuum and that addressing the will to meaning is the best way to heal such a hole. The Tweaking Optimism Podcast is hosted by Adam Mosley and will typically feature guests from various backgrounds spanning a wide variety of topics addressing the will to meaning.

In this episode of Will Work For Purpose I am joined by Freeman who works at a district level position in the American school system. His particular position has given him the perfect vantage point for assessing all of the changes that Covid-19 has forced on our schools. Throughout the episode we talk not only on the benefits and setbacks caused by the pandemic but also the impact the election cycle has in the classroom.
In this episode of the Tweaking Optimism Podcast, I speak with Darren from Seeking-I, a podcast where he speaks with experts on topics such as life after death, consciousness, and near-death experiences. In this interview, he shares his experiences that lead him to study in the areas featured on his podcast. We discuss some of his interesting findings as well as some of his personal fears regarding death, feelings I think we all share at one level or another. Later in the conversation, we also move to the nature of echo chambers and how they hinder our ability to see the truth.
In this episode of the Tweaking Optimism Podcast, I speak with Rob from Sentinel Apologetics. He shares his experiences that lead him to become a Christian. His story begins with a meditation on death and questions about finding meaning in life. Two areas of life that are both singularly important and worth consideration by every living person. Rob's story is engaging, relatable, and insightful. If you are interested in the existential questions of life and the role religion plays in answering such questions, this episode is for you.
In this episode of the Tweaking Optimism Podcast, we have another conversion story. J.K Riki, an author, illustrator, and previous guest, shares his story of how he became a Christian. Throughout the conversation, we talk about the nature of Christian conversion, truth, nihilism, ethics, and developing the ability to be yourself in any context.
In this episode of the Tweaking Optimism Podcast, I am joined by Paul VanderKlay. As a pastor and YouTuber, he has spent many years having tough conversations over a wide variety of controversial topics. Not only has he been having the conversations, but he has been having them effective, which can be attested to by the hundreds of hours of content on his YouTube Channel. Throughout the show, we talk about politically divisive conversations, Christian ethics, and moral role models.
