In the midst of a pandemic, a climate crisis, and an otherwise rapid changing 21st century, we have one question: where are all the experts?! The past decade has given us a drastic fall in the trust we have for our institutions and people who actually know what they're talking about. This episode we talk about the side effects of this. Topics include: the rise of armchair experts, the United States fall in education, and the psychology behind our avoidance of the facts.
Keith and Grant take a virtual sit down this week with good-friend and longtime Keith-Advocate and Grant-Denier, Gianni Damaia of the Bad Movies Podcast! We talk how the movie industry is going to take on the task of mounting a film in the middle of a global pandemic. If you want to know a bit of the ins and outs of a film set, and how that all might change (and what you will experience will change), take a listen! We also discuss the demolition of Movie Theaters, how "The Mandalorian" might be providing a key map to the non-covid galaxy that seems far, far away, and how Gianni Damaia is writing a book. But won't tell us what it's about. What a sucker. Enjoy. We're back and better than ever (debatable). We know Coronavirus is on overdrive these days, but we figured being in the thick of New York would give us a unique drop on the subject, especially in dispelling some hysteria. -- IG: @keithvartanian | @grantdavidcrawford Twitter: @keith_vartanian | @higrantcrawford
This week, we spend most of our time focusing on the top trending headlines that has crashed stock markets and inflated the prices of face masks; the coronavirus. Is it time for the United States to freak out? How is the Trump administration handling the outbreak? Is the stock market crash rational? These and many more questions are explored.
On this week's episode, Keith and Grant discuss how the advocacy and immediacy of climate change and the current global climate crisis might actually backfire in terms of true progress made. As pointed out on a previous episode about the misinformation on the wildfires in the Amazon, giving out false evidence for things without doing due diligence on a topic can set our sour taste in the mouths of the undecided or skeptical and can set the timeline of progress back years - sometimes even decades. On this weeks episode of Twenty Somethings Podcast, Grant and Keith talk about the disastrous Iowa caucuses that took place this past week and discuss how the voting system can be brought into the 21st century to convenience, rather than suppress, voters.
RIP to Kobe and Gianna Bryant. Our hearts at Twenty Somethings Podcast and Sound Pollination go out to all suffering from this tragedy. Today we talk about this event, as well as whether it is possible to separate artists from their art. Kobe Bryant was an idol for many, but he grew into the man that he was by the end of his life. We explore how people grow throughout their lifetimes and how this should effect the way their remembered.

I hope that title was enough clickbait for the day for you. It is another exciting week in the verging-on-thirty-something land, with so much to talk about. Fortunately, Grant isn't here again this week, so you won't have to turn the episode off at the five minute mark, like I (Keith) know you usually do. On this episode I talked about how Australia's genius preservation techniques, Trump's mercenary loan to the Saudi prince, and all things Democratic Debate. And Andrew Yang. Because of course, Keith uncontested by Grant = a solid chunk of some #YangGang. -- SoundPollination.com Patreon (Early Access) YouTube Stream Page Twitch Stream Channel
Of course we're kicking off 2020 with the best possible situation you could've imagined - no Grant Crawford! Yes boys and girls, you don't have to listen to his nagging for an entire week! Maybe next week as well! This week, Keith tackles the thought of another World War right before your very ears! It's exhilarating, what a time to be alive! There is a not-oft told history that predates all us twenty somethings, though, in the under-grumblings of the Persian Gulf Coast. Tune in to listen to our early relationship with Iran, and how it very much is still a factor today. And then of course, some RIDICULOUS headlines. And remember - No. Grant. Take Advantage. -- -- IG: @TwentySomethings_Podcast Twitter: @Podcast20Sum SoundPollination.com Patreon (Early Access) YouTube Stream Page Twitch Stream Channel

Keith is out this week on Twenty Somethings Podcast, which means Grant is taking full control of the podcast to call out the New York Times on one of their recent episodes of The Daily titles "America's Education Problem." Buckle up. Other topics include: Socks, the Rock, Climate Change, Chipotle, Andrew Yang and more!

On this week's episode, Grant and Keith exchange views on the billionaire phenomenon, and what we as a society should do with the creme de la creme while we struggle with such crippling wealth inequality. Should we tax Bill Gates? Should we incentive Jeff Bezos to innovate for pressing state issues? Is their money doing more good in their own hand's than the United States Government? -- IG: @TwentySomethings_Podcast Twitter: @Podcast20Sum SoundPollination.com Patreon (Early Access) YouTube Stream Page Twitch Stream Channel
On this week's episode, Grant and Keith discuss the cultural shift that has taken place in America over the last 10 years in regards to addiction. An empathetic epiphany that what those afflicted with a disease need is proper treatment, and not imprisonment and abandonment. This nation-wide waking up doesn't change the laws, though, so what are the next steps? Where do we look to as a model?
