Two Broads From Brooklyn

The broads are back late this week because Cola finally picked up her cats. They kick things off with some TMI and discuss what the post-pandemic workforce will look like. Anna gets into the issue of women and internalized misogyny and Cola refuses to not be an elitist New Yorker. 

Cola is over the moon about the Mets seven-game winning streak which by the time this is released has already ended. Anna details her unfortunate saga of what it's like getting sick (not with Covid) during a parallelogram. And the broads dive into the upcoming Friends Reunion special and why you can't have Sex and the City without Samantha. 

The broads are back a day late this week because Cola got her second vaccine dose and is ready for a tits out LA summer. Anna discusses different scenarios in regards to why some people may be waiting on the vaccine and how the future might be more comfortable if we all just wore masks anyway. Cola talks about the newest additions to her family and the broads chat about how New York is desperately trying to be cool again so Cuomo can save his job. 

Cola and Anna discuss Demi Lovato's new documentary and album Dancing With The Devil. This is the most candid Cola has ever been when discussing her issues with alcohol on a public forum so be nice ya bozos.  The broads get sappy discussing how proud they are of each other and how Anna inspires Cola on a regular basis. Anna and Cola spend another episode discussing consent and why cis men, in particular, are stressing them out this week. Cola shares some stories from her straight encounters from college, and the broads mourn the loss of Chicken Delicious. (aka Chicken Ridiculous aka Chicken D-Lo) But with every death, there is also new life! Cola and Anna give a shout-out to Copper Mug Coffee in Williamsburg, their first plug request! 

The broads are back with Cola's secret shame and one of Anna's top five shows. Entourage! Originally airing from 2004 to 2011, Cola and Anna take a look at these controversial and at the same time relatable characters. But most importantly they acknowledge that when we know better, we do better and that this show, while a familiar comfort, is just that.  

Anna's dad reminds us that the east river has a body count, and Cola falls down the rabbit hole of NYC influencers on TikTok. She also really needs to know if anyone actually likes macha lattes. The broads then stumble down memory lane with some of their favorite New York dive bars, and talk about all that shattered glass near Wall Street. Are they Gen Z's favorte people? Probably not.

Cola's sister Michelle fills in for Anna this week as guest and co-host.  We give Michelle the usual guest rundown with Broad Questions and find out why Michelle screamed at her sister for drinking from a mason jar. Season 2! We're kicking off the new year with some resolutions, airing of grievances, and hopes and dreams for 2021 and beyond. Think of this episode as a giant segment of 'We Have Some Thoughts." Anna and Cola have a lot planned on the horizon for season 2 so buckle up! 

It's Anna and Cola's last episode for Season 1! The broads plan on taking a little break before kicking off a new season in 2021! This segment of we have some thoughts derails completely into ethics in comedy and whether comedians should be apologizing for their jokes. Then it's on to favorite Christmas Movies that take place in New York!  We want to thank all our listeners for the time they spent with us this year.
