In this podcast, we are using a basic structure 是……的 to talk to each other. 是……的 is a structure mostly used in past events, to emphasize time, place, with whom, who did the action, methods, and materials. Chinese always omit “是” while they are talking, But the “的” is essential and can not be omitted.
