Then they look at the most famous ghost ship in history: The Mary Celeste, a ship found adrift in the Atlantic with no one aboard and no explanation as to their whereabouts. This week, we begin our dive into the twisted world of H.H. Holmes by examining the background setting of his crimes, the 1893 World's Fair. Also known as the Columbian Exposition, the fair ran from May of 1893 to October and featured one of the most expansive examples of products and inventions we know today. From the Ferris Wheel to Cracker Jacks to the moving sidewalk, the expo was a living testament to the will of man.
