Eli Harwood @attachmentnerd is today's guest. She is a mom of 3, a relationship nerd, a therapist and an author of a best selling book "Raising Securely Attached Kids".This episode is dedicated to those "my kid is the center of my universe" parents so we can understand where we can give our kids (and ourselves) the toolkit to resilience and security, while also giving us a bit of grace in the process. Our conversation was an important one for me because I often wonder if I am too anxiously attached to my identity of "MOM".Eli and I talk about some things that may affect our attachments, such as loss / grief, divorce, ADHD and how our own upbringing plays a huge part in how we are now raising our own children. It's an easy listen and the best part is, we leave you with some tangeables for you to put into practice in your own lives.I am excited to share this conversation with you because if it helps out one person, one family, then the conversation has done it's job.Holla at ya girl. Stay for more!Love ya,Nicki
SUPERNANNY PART 2Today's guest is Jo Frost. Jo is a global parenting expert who has been working with families since 1987. Many of us know her as Supenanny from the award winning television show, Supernanny, where she showed us the vulnerable, challenging sides of parenting that so many of us feel, but aren't always equipped for. Jo is also a recognized TV personality, New York Times best-selling author, global thought leader in the parenting arena, in-demand speaker, consultant as well as the go-to expert for media outlets around the world. Today, I am honored to have a friendly (and vulnerable) conversation with Jo about life as a conscious, mindful and present parent. This conversation started several weeks ago in my instagram DM's and I said to myself "gosh, so many other parents need to hear this", hence, my podcast! My most exciting part of my social media growth is that I get to share THIS STUFF with you! Because let's be honest, we all need time to reflect on our own self-growth, goals and values. Let's start together, today, with this episode. Without further ado, I invite you into a conversation between instagram friends: Jo Frost and Nicki Marie. Thanks for being here. I hope you enjoy it. Social media has become a huge fan of our brother + sister outings, random humor and the adventures of two adult siblings. Yes, that's us. Frankie is my brother and he was born when I was 18 and my mom was 40. Even though I was grossed out at the news that my mom was pregnant, when I was laser focused on enjoying my senior year in high school and my college field hockey endeavors, it turned out that my moms "gross" pregnancy led to one of the best things that's ever happened to me. MY LITTLE BROTHER.
Frankie lives in California and I am here in Massachusetts, so we don't always get to create content together but when we do, it's a hit. And, when we are long distance, we are chatting about brand deals and social media growth.
Join us for this brother / sister chat about life as siblings, my recent dabble into an edible, our recent day at King Richard's Renaissance Faire and life with a bonus brother and step parent.Holla at ya gurl, stay for more. Thanks for listening.

Today's episode is inspired by a girl who is rewriting her Happily Ever After (me) and in the first chapter, she wants to introduce you to some of the most impactful characters in the story.
Meet Renee Hawk, THE DIVORCE LAWYER.
I hired Renee in February of 2021 and we just finalized my divorce in January of 2024 so, needless to say, she has had a front row seat to my divorce journey and my goal is to give the gift of Renee (her insights, experiences, bad-assery) to you all. Because, strong women need strong women and that's exactly my goal today is to remind you that you ARE STRONG, YOU ARE DESERVING and YOU ARE NOT ALONE in this world that may sometimes leave you second guessing yourself.
This podcast episode is not just about DIVORCE, it's about marriage, marital roles, what women are feeling and also it might leave you with some thoughts if you are wondering if you are happy or not. My goal, no matter what, is to DO THE WORK that it takes to create your Happily Ever After.
THANK YOU FOR SPENDING YOUR PRECIOUS TIME WITH ME.

After 4 episodes of UNPLUGGED with Nicki Marie, I've heard this from you:"Nicki, I love your podcast so far but I'm also wanting MORE" and "Nicki, keep slaying and please bring us some mindless humor / randomness into the podcast just like you do to our social feeds".So, I would like to introduce you to a less podcasty podcast, something digestible for anyone who just wants to listen to something that doesn't make them have to think.CHARGED UP with Nicki Marie is my mid-week mashup of what's cooking, what's trending and random everyday topics and questions.kick back, listen in and THINK LESS
Nicki is a former Sr. Executive in the business world, turned full time SAH (divorced) mom and social media queen. Matt is an expert in leadership and human performance. He has been coaching Nicki since her corporate leadership days and through their college (UCONN) sports connection, all the way to raising children through each of their divorces, he has had a front row seat to Nicki's journey to recreating her life. Matter of fact, he's a huge reason she has the stamina and grit to keep persevering through hard times. SHE HAS DONE THE WORK with Matt leading her on a weekly basis.
In today's episode, you will hear about parenthood after divorce from two perspectives, "his and hers", as Matt and Nicki each share their divorce journey and all things coparenting.
This episode is packed with the hard truth about divorce as a parent but it's delivered with a growth-mindset perspective. Matt and Nicki both have a positive approach to taking a high road with your ex, not only for the sake of your kids but for the sake of YOU. The focus will be about self-growth, self-reflection and rebuilding your life (after loss).
Life after divorce, life after loss of a dream you once had or even a shift in your adulthood plans: The lesson is: it's your story to tell. The future is up to you! So, get your pen and paper out, it's time to rewrite some of this so that you can go in the direction that you wish to go.
Enjoy this conversation and please pass this episode along to anyone who might need to hear it.
So glad you are here,
Nicki
UNCONDITIONAL LOVE is defined as - a type of love that is given freely, without conditions or expectations, and without regard for personal benefit. WOAH. Read that again. AND AGAIN.
If you're anything like me, you've always used the term "unconditional love" to define a deep feeling of connection with another. For me, it's indefinitely what motherhood feels like for me. But, outside of motherhood, how capable are we of UNCONDITIONAL LOVE? Talk about a thought starter! ...
Let's take a deeper dive into this, as I invite you into a conversation about love and mental health from a lens that you probably (definitely) weren't expecting.
Welcome, Kellie. A mother, daughter, a sister, a wife and a licensed mental health professional in the prison system as well as the hospital emergency department for those who are mentally ill. Kellie is the epitome of humanitarian.
Listening to her speak about her passion will certainly make you think about the people in your life and in the world around you. How different our feelings are, how different our perspectives can be and how matters or the heart are never a "one size fits all".
The takeaway: the importance of LOVING and showing up for our children, while also realizing how much further we have to go, as a society, when it comes to HURT / PAIN / SELF-LOVE and MENTAL HEALTH.
The disclaimer: this is a broad stroke on the topic of mental health and in this conversation we are diving into what it means to help others who are really looking to change their lives and change their outcome.
Love you all, thanks for listening.
Ya girl - Nicki
I heard you loud and clear...you're in my DM's and in the comment section on IG, Facebook + TikTok whenever I talk about FRIENDSHIP IN ADULTHOOD, FRIENDSHIP in MOTHERHOOD and most recently, I tossed out the "how involved should I be with my kids friendships" question.
So many of you are LONGING FOR CONNECTION but also overwhelmed on where to even pull time from in order to created more connection.
Some of us are feeling disappointed in your adult friendships that exist and you're wondering if you should "break up" with a friend (and the guilt that comes with it).
To continue the conversation, I felt it was only fitting for me to call up one of my real life BFFs, who I admire deeply.
Please meet Jessa. She is a social emotional consultant specializing in helping kids with different developmental delays such as autism, ADHD and anxiety.
She runs social friendship groups, helps parents navigate stages of parenthood, provides emotional regulation tools while incorporating mindfulness, yoga, healthy eating and exercise. She is a rockstar friend, wife, mother, daughter and is the epitome of SISTERHOOD (someone I deeply admire, if you couldn't already tell).
Jessa has been there for me for some of the best and worst days of my life, and I am honored to introduce her to you. ️ She doesn’t spend a lot of time on social media but if you want to check out more of her, she’s at @socialandkind (I keep telling her the world needs more of her…)
