We are asked to trust the experts, but do they always know best? What does it mean to be an expert?

If perception is reality, then all matter within reality is subjectively perceived. Then only laws that are perceived are true or laws that are desired. Matter made up of atoms would be interchangeable or malleable, depending on the perceiver. The physical world would simply be a projection of the perceiver, and nothing more. So concepts like love, truth, justice, honor, morality, fear joy, happiness are subjective notions existing only inside the conscious mind of each individual. This has great implications as other people existing within your conscious reality are equivalent to everything else existing in your conscious reality, meaning that atomic physical matter can be malleable, expendable and extinguishable. There would be no difference between a piece of rock or a person because matter is subjective to your own consciousness you could actually say that rock matter is highly valued above human matter, but even to say that is that make distinctions, these distinctions are subjective to your understanding . In short, if your subjective projections are reality, then that makes you God and those living among you are simply beings created value for you, and they only exist and move and have their being because you allow them to.

What if we viewed life and reality as a book? There is a transcendent author who lives outside of the parameters of the book. They have language and knowledge that is outside that of the characters. And they exist even if the characters don't fully grasp it in their limited consciousness. Are we characters in a book? Is God our author?

It is the tension or reason, like the kit string, that allows imagination to inform our consciousness about the objective reality around us. Don’t think that if you cut ties with “oppressive” Reason that the “kite” would be free to be their true self. It will not soar to untold heights, but it will crash to the earth and be broken. It takes the synthesis of imagination and reason for humans to reach their optimal selves.

Trigger Warning: Extremely Controversial!! I am dealing with ideologies and philosophies, not individuals whom I know. Testing the validity of these thoughts to see if they are worth adopting. This is verbal processing through current social taboo trends and faux pas. I can not adopt something that is verifiably false or untenable regardless of who it offends or who demands I accept it. The discord in America and the world is from 2 epistemological thoughts: 1. Will to Power 2. Will to Meaning. The first looks for ways to wrest power and influence from those who possess it or seem to possess it. Meaning is found only when power hierarchies are reversed. “Might Makes Right.” 2. Will to Meaning looks to find meaning in reason and objectivity in the observations of reality.

What does it mean to think? Are there good and bad ways to think? Wes breaks down a few of his beliefs and why he engages with certain academics and popular authors. Also, a tip on how to begin the ReThinking process.

What if we took the arguments we disagreed with and presented them to ourselves in the best light possible? I mean really actually argued for it and even try to pick apart your own preferred argument. What would happen? You might lose your fear of opposing ideas and you might gain a greater degree of compassion for others. But better yet, you may find that the belief and argument you originally rejected is in fact superior to yours. Steelman the opposition and see what may come of it.

I discuss the apparent flaws in CRT from a cursory overview and why the fundamental foundations are spuriously at best. I point out that a superior political and cultural aim is found in the Declaration of Independence not in collective ideologies.

As the world spirals deeper into chaos everyday, I feel I must (with my skill set) wade into controversies where I would rather not. Today I set the record straight about where I stand and why I am speaking out on more controversial (philosophical) topics. You have been warned. Listen...if you dare. 😉

Yesterday I had a talk with my daughter about her thoughts about Thinking, and what she has learned over the last year in homeschool. She has a brilliant mind when it comes to abstract concepts. She is amazing and I’m so proud to be her Daddy!!

Today my twins joined me on the drive in! I let them choose the discussion topics. They chose hearing God’s voice and meditation, as well as their take on CRT (Critical Race Theory.) I am so blessed to have such deep thinking kids who are constantly challenging their beliefs (as well as my own...believe me they challenge!) These are their own thoughts not simply regurgitation of mine.

This is an extemporaneous musing about the Declaration of Independence and formation of America. We discuss the meaning of politics and the application of it, how it is best implemented to create the most good for everyone. Warning: I do not shy away from my convictions or my strong love for America...you may be triggered if you adhere to the 1619 project or similar ideas.

Today more than any other time I can remember we are being told that all Philosophies are equal; Truth and Falsity can share the same space and that the consequences of each will be equitable!! Western thought did not create flourishing because they had power, they gained influence because they mastered bits of reality before other societies did! Competence is often mistaken for usurpation, a believe that may just be the West’s undoing.

Wes discusses his theory on why certain literature is considered “classic.” He promotes two ideas: 1. They are the favorite books of the historical “winners”. 2. They are the best that the best of us could write. What do you think?

Wes talks about the foundations of UR Institute and how he has used these throughout his life. These have been tested and tried for the last 30 years, even through loss, anger, and fear. He also talks about not being afraid to be wrong and challenges anyone who can find better principles to host a class for UR Institute and try tearing everything apart. This is not out of arrogance but out of genuine desire to find truth. Why would you believe something you can’t defend or others can take apart in an evening? What do you think you believe...can you defend it?

I take on the notion all that Math and Logic are racist or unnecessary. Without precise calculations and language we will appropriate things outside the bounds of their reality and it will be to our detriment and destruction. “My Truth” can not be The Truth! There is a reality all around you that exists whether you choose to see it or not...those that have and use the correct tools will enjoy the rewards of it. Those who refuse to use will misuse and squander the beauty and mystery that is life. Give it a listen, give your feedback, but I dare you to really think about what I’m saying. If I’m wrong this was a waste of a few minutes...if I’m right it may just change the entire course of your life!! That sounds like something worth listening to, if you ask me.

It’s another chat as I drive into town. Do you know what foundation your truth making process is built on? Do you believe a person or a set of people based on their authority? Where did they get that authority? This is a daily musing from my car as I head to work. I am pulling on the idea that if language is a social construct and seems to be used to promote and sustain social norms...then the idea that language is a social construct is itself a social construct used to promote and sustain its own power and authority. Meaning that the statement itself is not or cannot be truth but rather the act of social manipulation through positions of authority. It is the thing it seeks to undermine. Did I miss something?
