at 28:00 I've thought of this one much like the "rich young ruler". Jesus deals with each of us specifically & personally. He was mirroring what her own lifestyle and assertions were, so as to give her a chance to humble herself. She could have said, "That's what I thought!", and walked away prideful and angry. The flattery of the Young Ruler was met by Jesus mirroring that this man didn't know who Jesus was. The woman, I suspect, had recently said those words that Jesus said. She whispered it to her friend, "He's only here for the Jews; we're nothing but dogs to him."

re: Jesus becoming sin Yes 😀 to all y'all said. I also look at that like this: When God sees me, instead of my sin, He sees Jesus. He gives everyone the decision (faith enough) to accept this deal... or to choose to reject thereby God would see the sin instead of Jesus, our propitiation, our savior 🐑

This is why the beginning of Romans is so perfect... obedience comes naturally from faith through grace. Love Jesus and you'll transform. Romans 1:5 [Amplified version] [5]It is through Him that we have received grace (God's unmerited favor) and [our] apostleship to promote obedience to the faith and make disciples for His name's sake among all the nations,

this myth of "righteous war" is so wicked. i do not understand how godly men can abandon the teachings of Christ to worship the state and support war and all manner of evil when scripture makes it clear that god abhors war, that we are a separate Kingdom, and that our ONLY King is Jesus. We do things his way, not the world's way. "do not resist evil with evil". Romans 13 is not free agency to sin. it's merely a description of how we should operate while subjugated to evil man made systems of government.
