Description
For more than two decades the Hoover Institution has been producing Uncommon Knowledge with Peter Robinson, a series hosted by Hoover fellow Peter Robinson as an outlet for political leaders, scholars, journalists, and today’s big thinkers to share their views with the world. Guests have included a host of famous figures, including Paul Ryan, Henry Kissinger, Antonin Scalia, Rupert Murdoch, Newt Gingrich, and Christopher Hitchens, along with Hoover fellows such as Condoleezza Rice and George Shultz.
“Uncommon Knowledge takes fascinating, accomplished guests, then sits them down with me to talk about the issues of the day,” says Robinson, an author and former speechwriter for President Reagan. “Unhurried, civil, thoughtful, and informed conversation– that’s what we produce. And there isn’t all that much of it around these days.”
The show started life as a television series in 1997 and is now distributed exclusively on the web over a growing network of the largest political websites and channels. You broke into his answers too many times!
'Does God Exist?' is the title of this discussion, however the question is not addressed at all. The tedious assertions of the Discovery Institute's Stephen Meyer go unchallenged, Tom Holland goes on with his usual stuff about how fundamentally Christian our culture is, and the ever-entertaining Douglas Murray emphasises our human lack of knowledge (which is fine I suppose, but doesn't go further than putting a bit of intellectual humility on proceedings). Total waste of time.
These two guests always have interesting intellectual conversations.
awesome interview loaded with good information.
This is some worrisome info
Shelby Steele is such a underrated thinker
I have always liked Kimberly strassel, but did she take a mind altering drug before this interview? there is no discussion of the ballot dumps, in the middle of the night no less, nor of boarded Windows blocking poll watchers, nor of the strange automatic dismissal of very weird irregularities with no discussion, nor of the censorship of the Hunter Biden story among other things.
Douglas Murray is great!!
A good man fighting the good fight!
Condoleezza Rice😍 What a lovely lovely lady👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
👍👍
Thomas Sowell is brilliant, God bless this man!
Great interview. Ayaan is a great voice.
Such a crying shame, what was done to us.....
I am really glad there are at least a few universities that have kept their humanity 👍😉
You know the interviewer did his homework when he could complete his guest's sentences when the guest had a brain fart. Always outstanding and insughtful interviews!
This is a cringy episode. The Hoover Institution should be ashamed of making excuses for the Trump administration's shortcomings.
This is full of great tactical information. Share this episode around. Our efforts to re-open the country should be based on these findings from Dr Bhattacharyas' study.
Dr. Jay Bhattacharya👍👍👍
3 episodes in a month nice.
👍
He is very well-spoken.
Too bad Uncommon Knowledge releases on average an episode a month, I would love to hear more episodes more often.
