Los Angeles, also known by its nickname The City of Angels, is thought by many to be one of the most glamourous places on earth. Home to the rich and famous, the Hollywood walk of fame and several success movie studios, thousands of people flock there with the hopes of making it big. Behind all the glitz and glamour, L.A is also the home of thousands of homeless people and has more than its fair share of violent crime. Today, we will be focusing on the dark side of the City of Angels as we uncover the unsolved murder of Reet Jurvetson.  If you have any information regarding Reet's murder, please contact the LAPD Cold Case Homicide Special Section 213-486-6810.Twitter - @Uncover_podInstagram - @uncovertruecrimepodYou can contact me by emailing uncovertruecrime@gmail.comCase Suggestion Form - https://forms.gle/mUDbNYeoTZ5kGfaq7
When I came across Patricia Newsom's case, I didn't think I was going to be able to cover it as there is very little information on her disappearance online. I'm sure many people listening to this can remember a time before mobile phones or cell phones, depending on what country you are in.  It's hard to imagine a world without wireless technology now but back then, It wasn't as easy as sending a text saying "I'll see you in 5". We depended on landline phones and payphones if we needed to talk to people that we couldn’t see in person. Today, we will be discussing a young woman who, like many others, pulled over to use a payphone but was tragically abducted and has never been seen since. Let's uncover the unsolved disappearance of Angela Hammond. If you have any information in the abduction of Angela Hammond, please call the Clinton Police Department at 660-885-5561. Trigger warning. This episode discusses the murders and disappearances of children and also mentions child sexual abuse. Listener discretion is advised. Many crime documentaries on TV portray serial killers as some sort of cold-blooded creature who only prey at night, like some kind of wild animal. I think the reason these programmes describe them this way is to try and put as much distance between them and us as possible, to lure us into a false sense of security that we won't ever come into contact with them and that we would know if we ever did see one in person, but this is far from the truth. To the outside world, these people seem to live very normal lives with normal jobs and normal families. They live on regular streets amongst unsuspecting neighbours, never in their wildest dreams imagining that they are in such close proximity to someone capable of the most horrendous crimes. The man we will be talking about today was one of these individuals. He did the unthinkable – sexually abusing and murdering children, yet he went undetected for over a decade and even over 40 years later, we still don’t know for sure how many victims he had. Today, we will be discussing the cases he is either suspected or thought to have committed as we uncover the cases that are possibly connected to Mack Ray Edwards.Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500 or the LAPD Cold Case Division at (213) 847-0970.Timestamps:Cases that are known to be connected:Stella Nolan - 2.31Brenda Howell and Donald Baker - 6.00 Gary Roche - 7.41Roger Madison - 08.14Donald Allen Todd - 08.46Thomas Bowman - 09.15Mack Ray Edwards - 12.11The Confessions - 15.03His Trial and Death - 19.00Other cases on Namus - 22.34Lynn Bernatte Luray - 24.51Mark Walden Wilson - 25.14Sammy Janckon & Alfred Grimes - 25.42Cases that Mack Ray Edwards is a suspect in - 26.42Bruce Kreman - 27.02Karen Tompkins - 27.53Dorothy Gale Brown - 29.03Ramona Price - 30.10Updates in recent years - 31.26Twitter - @Uncover_podInstagram - @uncovertruecrimepodYou can contact me by emailing uncovertruecrime@gmail.comCase Suggestion Form - https://forms.gle/mUDbNYeoTZ5kGfaq7Music:  The Rake, The Woods and There is Something You Should Know by CO.AG & The Art of Silence by Uniq
It's never just as easy as "just leaving" an abusive relationship. The fear of repercussions, not having anywhere to go and the emotional and mental torture that victims go through, being just a few reasons why. The only people that know exactly how hard it is are those who have been  through it and they are often the best people to support those unfortunate enough to find themselves in that exact same situation. Sadly, the people who are trying their best to help get people out of dangerous situations can unknowingly find themselves in one. That is the main theory in today's case as we uncover the Keddie Cabin Murders.Check out Manscaped's Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale and get an additional 20% off and free shipping with the discount code UNCOVER at manscaped.comTwitter - @Uncover_podInstagram - uncovertruecrimepodYou can contact me by emailing uncovertruecrime@gmail.comCase Suggestion Form - https://forms.gle/mUDbNYeoTZ5kGfaq7Music:  The Rake & The Woods by CO.AG The Art of Silence by Uniq
No community or country is immune from the effects of gang violence, from forcing people to engage in prostitution, peddling drugs onto the streets and senseless murders. The latter of which is particularly heart-breaking as perfectly innocent lives are destroyed for absolutely nothing. Going to school is a journey that a lot of children don't look forward to. To some kids, school is the bane of their life and they can’t wait until they return home so they can chill out of hang out with their friends. Some kids love school and can’t wait to get stuck in, get involved in extra-curricular activities and are just excited to learn. For one girl in 2003, the latter was definitely true and each day, she would leave her home to walk the very short distance between her home and the school bus. However, she would never come home. She didn't even make it onto the bus and even now, over 18 years later, police still don’t know what happened to her. Let's uncover the unsolved disappearance of Tabitha Tudurs If you have any information on Tabitha's whereabouts or the circumstances surrounding her disappearance, please contact the Nashville Metro Police Department (615) 862-8600 or you can call the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (800) 843-5678. You can also submit an anonymous tip to the FBI.Twitter - @Uncover_podInstagram - uncovertruecrimepodCase Suggestion Form - https://forms.gle/mUDbNYeoTZ5kGfaq7Music: The Rake & There is Something You Should Know by CO.AG and The Art of Silence by Uniq
Not to see eye-to-eye with your in-laws is a struggle that I am sure many people can relate to. Whether parents don’t like their child choice in partner or the way their grandchildren are being raised, or even just small petty disagreements, it can take its toll on a family dynamic. Most of the time, these issues are sorted but other people have some shocking horror stories of arguments and incidents they have had with their partners family. Today, we will be discussing a case where a feud between in-laws resulted in a tragic and senseless murder. Let's uncover the murder of Tammy Palmer. If you have any information about the whereabouts of Eugune Palmer, please call the FBI on 212-384-1000 or the Haverstraw police on 845-354-1500. Alternatively, you can submit a top on the FBI's website.Twitter - @Uncover_podInstagram - uncovertruecrimepodCase Suggestion Form - https://forms.gle/mUDbNYeoTZ5kGfaq7Music: The Rake & There is Something You Should Know by CO.AG and The Art of Silence by Uniq
Many of us have a morning routine, a way to ease ourselves into the day ahead. Having a bath or shower, eating breakfast, doing your hair and make-up, getting dressed, listening to the radio, etc. I know with my routine, I don't even think about it anymore, it's that habitual that I get up and do it without a second thought and I'm sure many of you are the same. When two parents entered their daughters house one January morning, it was clear that she had also followed her morning routine. An unmade bed, a wet towel hanging up and makeup lying across the bathroom countertop. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Except for the fact that she hadn't arrived at work and her car was found in a place she had no reason to be. To this day, their daughter remains missing and her parents are still fighting for answers. Let's uncover the unsolved disappearance of Jennifer Kesse. Crimeline are offering a $15,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in her case. If you have information on Jennifer's disappearance or her whereabouts, you can call Crimeline on 1-800-423-TIPS (8477).  Alternatively, you can call the Federal Bureau of Investigation on (407) 875-9976 and quote the case number:  06-32039 Twitter - @Uncover_podInstagram - uncovertruecrimepodCase Suggestion Form - https://forms.gle/mUDbNYeoTZ5kGfaq7Music: The Rake & There is Something You Should Know by CO.AG and The Art of Silence by Uniq

When people go missing or are murdered, their loved ones are often desperate for media attention, hoping that it will lead to new information in the case. Some victims receive very little media coverage, some receive a lot and there are a few that dominate headlines for months, weeks or even decades. While this seems like a good thing, sometimes in the midst of sensationalised stories and tabloid speculation, the focus is taken off the victim and people forget there is a real family grieving the loss of their loved one. That is certainly true in the case we will be discussing today as we uncover the unsolved murder of Stuart Lobback. If you have any information about Stuart's murder, please contact Essex police on 101Twitter - @Uncover_podInstagram - uncovertruecrimepodCase Suggestion Form - https://forms.gle/mUDbNYeoTZ5kGfaq7Music: The Rake & There is Something You Should Know by CO.AG and The Art of Silence by UniqAll sources and picture can be found at www.uncovertruecrimepodcast.co.uk
One of the worst injustices that occurs far too often is when a life is cruelly taken by another and the identity of the killer and the victim remain a mystery. The killer gets to live the rest of their live with no punishment and the victim's families are unaware that somewhere, maybe miles away, their loved one is unclaimed and without a name. There are so many Jane and John Doe's out there, all of whom deserve justice and to be brought home to rest in peace, but we have to get their stories out there and hope that someone, somewhere will have the missing piece that detectives need to solved the puzzle. I wish I could cover them all but for now, let's uncover the unsolved murder of the Woodlawn Jane Doe. If you have any information on Jane Doe's murder or her identity, please contact the Baltimore County Police Department at 410-887-6162.Twitter - @Uncover_podInstagram - uncovertruecrimepodCase Suggestion Form - https://forms.gle/mUDbNYeoTZ5kGfaq7Music: The Rake & There is Something You Should Know by CO.AG and The Art of Silence by UniqAll sources and picture can be found at www.uncovertruecrimepodcast.co.uk
While a loved one goes missing, their families are forced to go through an emotional turmoil that I would not wish on my worst enemy. Between wondering where they are every day, having to cope with not knowing what happened to them and not being able to grieve properly for their loved one, many families describe it as being in a constant state of limbo. Unless you have been unfortunate enough to have a loved one go missing, it is impossible to imagine exactly how devastating it would be, but some families of the missing have to deal with additional struggles that only serve to further their suffering. An example of this is trolling, and while it seems inconceivable that someone could be cruel enough to torment the families of the missing with such vile messages, unfortunately people like this do exist. This is just one of the devastating things that a Scottish family has had to go through since their loved one went missing eight years ago. Let's uncover the unsolved disappearance of Allan Bryant Jr. If you have any information on Allan's disappearance or his current whereavouts, please contact Police Scotland on 101 or you can email OperationToner@scotland.pnn.police.uk You can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, or call or text the charity Missing People on 116 000.  Twitter - @Uncover_podInstagram - uncovertruecrimepodCase Suggestion Form - https://forms.gle/mUDbNYeoTZ5kGfaq7Music: The Rake & There is Something You Should Know by CO.AG and The Art of Silence by UniqAll sources and picture can be found at www.uncovertruecrimepodcast.co.uk
I'm sure at one time or another, we have all tried to run away from our problems and while this certainly is tempting, it rarely works. Whether you are trying to escape from a debt, mental health issues, family problems or legal troubles, life often finds a way of catching up to us and forcing us to face our problems head on. Some people chose to physically run away from their lives and create a new identity for themselves, but others who have perhaps gotten themselves into a dangerous situation may have this choice taken away from them and might meet a far worse fate. Either of these scenarios could be true from a young woman, thought to be involved in the deaths of two of her acquaintances, before she, herself, went missing. Let's uncover the case of the Bakersfield Three. If you have any information on Baylee Despot's disappearance, or on the murders of James Kulstad and Micah Holsonbake, please contact the Bakersfield police on (661) 327-7111 Twitter - @Uncover_podInstagram - uncovertruecrimepodCase Suggestion Form - https://forms.gle/mUDbNYeoTZ5kGfaq7Music: The Rake & There is Something You Should Know by CO.AG and The Art of Silence by UniqAll sources and picture can be found at www.uncovertruecrimepodcast.co.uk
Finishing high school is the ending of one chapter of one's life and the start of another. While some leave school not knowing what they want to do with their lives, some have their entire future mapped out, know exactly what they want and how they plan on achieving it. Some will go on to achieve their goals, while some people's lives may take them on a totally different path that the one that had planned. The young woman we will be talking about today had her whole life ahead of her, until one fateful May evening when she went missing, never to be seen again. Let's uncover the unsolved disappearance of Cleashindra Hall. If you have any information about Cleashindra, please call the Pine Bluff Police Department at 870–543–5111.Twitter - @Uncover_podInstagram - uncovertruecrimepodCase Suggestion Form - https://forms.gle/mUDbNYeoTZ5kGfaq7Music: The Rake, The Woods & Haunted by CO.AG and The Art of Silence by UniqAll sources and picture can be found at www.uncovertruecrimepodcast.co.uk
There is a lot we don't know about serial killers. We don't know what drives them to kill innocent people, how they can get any pleasure from it at all or how many of them go undetected for years. Sadly, in some cases, we don't know exactly how many victims they have, meaning that the families of their victims go without justice. And while some serial killers love to brag about their crimes, some will never confess to the true extent of their depravity, which leaves many to speculate how many innocent lives they have taken and who their victims might be and that’s exactly what we'll be discussing today. Let's uncover the cases that are possible connected to Christopher Halliwell. If you have any information on the cases covered in this episode, please contact the police on 101 or to report a tip anonymously, you can call Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111Twitter - @Uncover_podInstagram - uncovertruecrimepodCase Suggestion Form - https://forms.gle/mUDbNYeoTZ5kGfaq7Music: The Rake & Dark Rage, The Woods & Haunted by CO.AG and The Art of Silence by UniqAll sources and picture can be found at www.uncovertruecrimepodcast.co.uk
Most of us make little notes to ourselves to remember important dates or upcoming events. We might type them into our phones or computer, write them on the back of our hand, or scribble them onto a notepad or in a diary of sorts. Sometimes, these notes only make sense to the person who wrote them, and they may have to transcribe their meaning to others. The FBI came across a note like this in 1999, in the pocket of a deceased man's jeans. A piece of paper with letters, brackets, question marks and numbers written on it and while some believe the notes are merely the inner workings of one man's mind, others believe it could be a major clue to solving this man's murder. Let's uncover the Unsolved Murder of Ricky McCormack. If you have any information on Ricky's death or the note found on him, please contact the FBI Major Case Unit on 1-800-CALLFBI (225-5324)You can also write to the CRRU:FBI LaboratoryCryptanalysis and Racketeering Records Unit2501 Investigation ParkwayQuantico, VA 22135Attn: Ricky McCormick CaseTwitter - @Uncover_podInstagram - uncovertruecrimepodCase Suggestion Form - https://forms.gle/mUDbNYeoTZ5kGfaq7Music: The Rake & Dark Rage, The Woods & Haunted by CO.AG and The Art of Silence by UniqAll sources and picture can be found at www.uncovertruecrimepodcast.co.uk
