In a coroner’s report, the word “undetermined” is used to describe the cause or manner of death when there’s insufficient evidence to lend a more specific classification. In 2019, Jessica Easterly Durning went missing from her New Orleans home; her body was found days later, just two and a half blocks away. Her death was classified as undetermined, but due to evidence of foul play, her friends and family believe someone played a role in her suspicious disappearance. Investigative journalist Jessica Noll and former Detective Todd McComas dig deep into this unsolved case and search for answers to Jessica’s untimely death. From the team that brought you ‘To Live and Die in LA’ and ‘Culpable’, this is ‘Undetermined’.
cannot listen to this podcast. Music is constant and too loud. I listened to the first episode, deleting the rest.
the placement of commercials are so terrible and cruel! right in the middle of her sister crying her eyes out in pain.
This podcast is getting weird. They hit on the reasonable doubt pretty hard throughout....yet keep on and on and on basically saying with 100% certainty that the woman was murdered, and her husband is the killer. Period. I don't get it. Very inconsistent. I'll probably finish this podcast, but only because I can't find anything else. It's been pretty shitty so far, and all I hear, honestly, are people bitching because their information is likely incomplete.......as always.
A buddy of mine's dad is an investigator. I see what this guy goes through all the time when it comes to these cases. I get to hear a lot of things that most people probably don't hear; not necessarily info that isn't supposed to be leaked, but just thier real thoughts as opposed to "our policy is to not discuss open investigations" lol. One thing that I think people need to understand is that there is a strict, carefully constructed and restricted version of the case--and then there's the "off the record" version of the facts. According to him and his colleagues, these OTR conversations, 95% of the time, will easily be able to name the guilty party without any doubt. How? Because not only are there facts about cases that aren't released, but there's also SO much context that is unknown to everyone; often, this is due to the aforementioned facts not being released. These are things that you will never hear from these investigators that "aren't doing their job." But they can't jus

The background music is so loud behind the police recordings. It makes it difficult to listen to. Otherwise, I'm enjoying this podcast but it would be a good idea to remaster the audio.
I hate to say this but eff the po-po🤬
Why do journalists all speak with that “voice”? Can’t they just speak normally? They all sound like they’re in front of a camera doing the nightly news.
These cops are ignorant. First of all it's Deposition not disposition. Second all the power is in your hands. They don't want to investigate. Which is heartbreaking for the family of Jessica.
OMG a guy walked into a bar and said something weird to me and I've got to just scream it to the rooftops because this podcast is just a bunch of women talking drama and made up BS
the time between episodes is so long I don't even remember what this is about now I got to go back update myself I hate when they take 20 days between episodes
Great Pod!
why is 1/3 of the episode recapping the previous one... id suggest that you utilize the platform available by flooding it with vital information rather than worrying about catching people up. we clearly understand if we missed something we can stop and go back to previous episodes.
good podcast except for the ridiculous background music! not sure if I can get through whole podcast
this shows you how the opinion of an officer can seriously influence the direction of an investigation. This officer is personal opinions are all over the first few minutes. This is why having women detectives is dangerous because she's being emotional and throwing her opinion all over
