Oren made aliyah when he was 22 and first came to Israel at the age of 15. Oren served in multiple wars as a paratrooper. He served in the 82 war, the first and second intifada, and the 2006 second Lebanon war, among multiple operations. Then he served as ambassador to the United States and then as Deputy Minister.
