In this season of Unjuanable, Betty has gone to UK for her exchange semester in London and Anny continues her study in Toronto. In this episode, both of them discussed their life in two different cities and talked about some interesting culture differences they encountered!
In our last episode of the season, we invited our friend Chuqi Qian here to join us for a casual talk. We shared our recent happiness about the television, film and music that cheered us. As we were talking about the anxiety about our future education plan and career path, we gradually relate the topic to the strict quarantine policy that happened in China as it has deeply influenced our established mindset and important decisions. A little happiness and concern can extend to the social issue that is gradually pushing us to achieve self-consistency.

In our second episode, we talked about our lives in Toronto after leaving our country for university. We discussed how the apartment renting experience had urged us to grow into an “adult.” We also recall our memories of the unique and unforgettable residential life back in our high school in China. The two different cultural backgrounds delivered us this mixed feeling of finding a sense of belonging in both places. We expressed our struggle with the issue and are expecting some resonance.
