Description

Find out what happens when women break the rules - those unwritten but all too real bullsh*t expectations of how we should live our lives. Cristen Conger and Caroline Ervin (formerly Stuff Mom Never Told You) tackle questions through their trademark obsessive research, stories from rule-breakin’ ladies and a solid dose of delightful feminist rage.

While I'm all for men not being assholes to women on bikes. as a guy who's spent more of my adult life riding a bike for transportation than anything else. I get harassed constantly. it's pedestrians of any sort that people feel the need to harass. this isn't a women only issue.

Kristin's story about menopause at 30 as a cancer survivor is my story too. Thanks isn't enough; I appreciate not having to hide what chemically induced menopause is really like. Kristin, you're right. "F that".

My suggestion is to pick out your clothes the night before down to the under garments, earrings, shoes, belt and have it laid out so the morning is easier.

Im a female in landscaping. Luckily where i live most people dont seem to care what you wear as long as your work is good. i wear leggings and a work tshirt everyday. Thats my power dressing. i feel strong and mobile. i could never work in an office. i hate makeup and fancy clothes.

Too true- Husband does not work, I hand the cheetah credit card to the waiter and still it gets handed back to my husband. Love this episode.

Michael Milligan why did you mention me in this comment? weird. And I am not married, never been married, and dont want to ever get married. Why would you assume I have a husband?

D Money If you think about why that happens, it's not to disrespect you, Rebekah Miller, rather, it's to avoid embarrassing your husband. I'm sure it's more than awkward for the waiter. I was on a dinner date with a woman and we had a really nice time. When it came time to pay, I reached for my wallet and I think my face probably turned white as I realized I'd forgotten my wallet. So much for our great date! But then my incredible date slipped me the needed money ever so coolly, and my opinion of her skyrocketed even higher. What a class act this wonderful woman is, and I In my eyes very, very strong.

I'm gonna tell you a story that happened right after I listened to this episode: Some old dude asked me a question about my job and literally right in the middle of me answering he gets right in my bubble and strokes my half-sleeve tattoo with one finger and is all what's this what prompted you to do that to yourself. And then he kept giving me that creepy-ass somehow simultaneously condescending and leering smile people like that have perfected and I had to hussle out of there cuz my anxiety was off the fucking charts at that point. Keep up the feminism because it's days like these that people like me need it.

Thanks for this, we need more conversations with older women who have the wealth of knowledge. Since each woman has a different and unique experience it would be great if you could line up some interviews with some "unladylike" grandmothers. My own experience was a nightmare, but things are better now. 😉

very interesting and I enjoyed it but the "wage gap"? really? find it difficult to believe these ladies don't understand the difference between wages and earnings.

Oh my... I didn't realize this was a Cristen and Caroline podcast?! I listened to SMNTY for years, until the last episode. I'm just cruising for a podcast, and see that name combo and clicked because.... could it be?! and yes! What a surprise!!

I really enjoyed this episode. It was a great discussion on how society has been treating rape and those affected by it. The message Cameron conveys that the dialog should be switched from victim to warrior and using comedy to find that strength was brilliant. Taking that sort of control is an extremely important step towards healing and can be crucial in helping others as well.

what's being said about pregnancy resource center in this episode can also be said of planned Parenthood. I've utilized services at both places and felt I was given honest and helpful info from both.
