A monitored exchange is where co-parents can utilize a safe and neutral location to exchange their children for the purpose of supervised visitation.Some co-parents may be court ordered to utilize monitored exchanges while others do so voluntarily due to ongoing conflicts.svnworldwide.org/providers.asp is a website where some monitored exchange centers choose to be located.Recently, I have noticed that there are a number of co-parenting resources via various websites and apps that offer a myriad of communication tools for co-parents. About My Guest Dr. Lisa Lovelace: Dr. Lisa Lovelace is the founder of Synergy eTherapy a telemental health group practice where all clients can have therapy by phone and video from the comfort of their surroundings. Dr. Lisa is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Minnesota, Wisconsin and New York with over 17 years of post graduate level clinical experience working with children, adolescents and adults who suffer from a wide range of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, substance abuse and other emotional or behavioral disorders. Before moving back to her hometown of Minneapolis, Dr. Lisa worked in New York City as a clinical director for a grant-funded substance abuse treatment program for teens at St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital Center, Child and Family Institute. During this time, Dr. Lisa was also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychology (in Psychiatry) at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she enjoyed teaching and supervising psychology and psychiatry trainees. She received several honors throughout her career including Psi Chi Honors in Psychology, Teacher of the Year – St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, and Supervisor of the Year – St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital. Dr. Lisa enjoys working with kids, teens, and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, behavioral issues for kids/teens, relationship and family discord, infertility, and more. She has clinical expertise in the areas of Anxiety Disorders and Substance Use Disorders. Dr. Lisa is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Minnesota, Wisconsin and New York with over 17 years of post graduate level clinical experience working with children, adolescents and adults who suffer from a wide range of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, substance abuse and other emotional or behavioral disorders. Before moving back to her hometown of Minneapolis, Dr. Lisa worked in New York City as a clinical director for a grant-funded substance abuse treatment program for teens at St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital Center, Child and Family Institute. During this time, Dr. Lisa was also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychology (in Psychiatry) at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she enjoyed teaching and supervising psychology and psychiatry trainees. She received several honors throughout her career including Psi Chi Honors in Psychology, Teacher of the Year – St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, and Supervisor of the Year – St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital. Dr. Lisa enjoys working with kids, teens, and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, behavioral issues for kids/teens, relationship and family discord, infertility, and more. D'Angelo M. Lowe, Esq. Biography:Attorney Lowe was born in the impoverished Chicago suburb of Harvey, IL, and is no stranger to the law. Although he managed to earn his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas, his journey was not that of the typical lawyer. As a child, Attorney Lowe found himself in poverty, surrounded by drug dealing and gang violence. However, with hard work, persistence and perseverance, Attorney Lowe was able to make it from his impoverished beginnings to becoming a member of the Texas State Bar.As an undergraduate student at Western Illinois University, Attorney Lowe joined Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated in which he served as the Vice President, chairing multiple events such as the March of Dimes, Voter’s Registration Drives, and other philanthropy and social awareness events. He received multiple awards ranging from the the University’s Certificate of Appreciation to the Co-Sponsored Event of the Year. However, with hard work, persistence and perseverance, Attorney Lowe was able to make it from his impoverished beginnings to becoming a member of the Texas State Bar.As an undergraduate student at Western Illinois University, Attorney Lowe joined Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated in which he served as the Vice President, chairing multiple events such as the March of Dimes, Voter’s Registration Drives, and other philanthropy and social awareness events. He received multiple awards ranging from the the University’s Certificate of Appreciation to the Co-Sponsored Event of the Year. As a law student, Attorney Lowe continued his streak of success, making the Dean’s List the majority of the semesters he was enrolled, graduating in the Top 1/3 of his class, being involved with the South Texas College of Law Mock Trial Team (which was part of a program that ranked as the sixth best in the nation), and winning various other awards and honors.Attorney Lowe now utilizes his experiences to relate to and advocate passionately on behalf of clients from all environments no matter where they are from, what they look like, or what their preferences may be. Mr. Lewis had humble beginnings in Fayetteville, NC. An unexpected injury during his college basketball experience abruptly changed the course of his life. It was during this time at St. John’s University where he was pursuing his Bachelor of Arts in Economics that he decided to pursue a law degree. Mr. Lewis fulfilled the dream his mother always had for him, which was to become a lawyer. While Mr. Lewis pursued his legal studies at St. John’s University his work as an Investment Consultant for Essex Corporation and a Securities and Commercial Litigation Specialist for Merrill Lynch inspired Mr. Lewis. Mr. Lewis earned a Juris Doctorate and a Masters of Law in Bankruptcy (LL.M.).Mr. Lewis was the first African-American Judicial Law Clerk at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of North Carolina. Subsequently, Mr. Lewis specialized in Chapter 11 Bankruptcy cases.
