You may know her from her major accomplishments which include going through Invisalign for two years, sewing a pillowcase without a zipper, and the thick, hunky cucumbers she’s growing in her garden.Y'all are in for a real treat with this one. We have work deadlines, thousands of school events, birthdays, Mother's Day - and Britt's mom's birthday on May 20th. They are the founder of Align with Purpose, a social and healing justice project that bridges their work in the trauma field with their experiences of building resilience within their community. Through collaborations with BIPOC artists, healers, and activists they host monthly community dinners and song circles, quarterly item exchange events, and a community garden in the summer months. This week's pod features none other than Abby Templeton Greene!Abby Templeton Greene is a Denver native, and the Co-founder and Co-Executive Director of Sidewalk Poets, a Denver based nonprofit organization that believes in the transformative power of art and storytelling.She is the author of three books of poetry and has over 17 years of classroom teaching experience teaching in Title 1 public schools. She has done it through social work, therapy, teaching, and finally as one of the owners of the Sexploratorium.
