Unserious Baseball: The Podcast

Baseball is a silly, silly game. So we've made our podcast (formerly known as Hot Takes Only) reflect that very simple reality

CFP Championship Recap, MLB News & Rumors and more! - Episode 56

College Football's four team playoff era is over, and a new era begins now. Michigan reigns supreme, but is Harbaugh among the upper echelon of coaches in the 2000s? Plus a quick look at baseball's updated standings, free agency updates and so much more!

Ohtani, Yamamoto and Glasnow - Oh My! MLB Hot Stove + Hot Takes Segment - Episode 55.2

An episode so massive we had to cut it in half! In this segment, we break down the MLB offseason as a whole and talk Dodgers, the end of the 'Yankee aura,' the Braves going all in and so much more! Plus, we had to include our usual Hot Takes segment - as we do. Be sure to also check out the CFP National Championship game preview in part of the episode!

Peter Seidler passes away, CFP Rankings and more - Episode 54

Baseball lost a beloved owner who, hopefully, left the blueprint for how owners should operate - with the fullest intent to win and win now. Plus, a look at the new CFP rankings (spoiler: Dawgs still Dawgs) and whether or not programs like Alabama have staying power long after the likes of Saban retire.

The 'Atta Boy Harper' Saga broken down by a salty Braves fan - oh and a recap of the 2023 MLB Postseason - Episode 53.3

Bryce Harper is a bad dude but apparently the only people who didn't quite get that memo were the Braves. Everyone else knows you just...you can't throw a cookie to Harper. Ever. Oh also, the format isn't the problem and the World Series was fun as hell. So much fun, I'm already impatient about when the next season is gonna start.

College Football will never be the same after these conference realignments - Episode 53.2

BIG 12, PAC 12, SEC, ACC, BIG 10...and none of them will exist in the same form next year. Teams are jumping from conference to conference, leaving us college ball fans very little to do but just shrug our shoulders and try to enjoy it for what it is. It's a truly unmatched tradition, especially in places like the South, but it may be unrecognizable before we know it. Part 2 of our three part return after a 13 month (I know) hiatus. Safe to say we had to break it up because once we start talking, we don't really know how to stop.

LIV-PGA Tour Merger, State of Golf - Episode 53.1

Gone for so long we had to divide our latest episode into not one, not two, but THREE parts! In part 1, we dive into the ins and outs of the LIV Golf-PGA TOUR merger, and the general state of golf as a whole. Who knows what the sport looks like 13 months from now (the length of our hiatus), but rest assured we will likely be very very wrong.
